...um, computer...

she crosses to the nearest console and types in a request (one handed, gotta get good at that!) for medical guildline's on the care of new borns. After reading for a few seconds, she turns the computer off, goes over to Soul and helps TRM kick him into wakefullness.

"Soul? Wake up, you're needed. TRM? Can you possibly get me some lukewarm water, a soft towel and some cotton wool balls? cheers."

When she's sure that Soul will remain upright, she hands Seraphina to her daddy, who gawps a bit, then starts giving her face and hands a clean with the water, dry's her off and wraps her up tight in a blanket, all following the computers instructions. While Seryn makes a cup of tea and nudges serenity awake.

"It says that you have to feed her soon and start that whole bonding process thing. Have a drink, then when Soul is finished you can do that."

She watches as Soul hands the baby over, then as TRM manouvres a chair behind him, just before he falls into it, and puts a cup of tea near him.

"We should go now, I've set up a Big Red Button to Simon for them, should there be a problem" says TRM.
Seryn smiles, grins at the family, and heads off to catch a rabbit.

"That's all good, I just thought you should know, because if someone should come looking for one of the other names that's me it would be bad if you were to tell them that no such person existed. You see I have spent a lot of time passing through places and ships never staying too long, because mainly, I couldn't. The fact that I'm letting go of my silly alias' indicates that I'm willing to stay awhile. Jet smiles. "Well, TheRealMe said we needed to get the ship into the air, so we're hovering, right now. It was all about the marriage ceremony between Soul and Serenity. A captain can't marry a couple unless the ship is under way, or something like that. Only I had shut down the main fusion plant, and on short notice had to stoke up the auxillary plant I had left running. It can keep us in the air, but we should be getting the mains back online anyway."

*JadeHand works quickly in the common room placing Balloons and streamers across the room from the 2nd and 3rd floor balconies. Food is brought out from the kitchen and lines several tables. Presents are stacked across several more tables. The common room decorations are completed, with just enough time for a shower.
JadeHand returns to his room, takes a quick shower, and begins getting dressed. Looking for the perfect attire he goes through several of his suitcases until something catches his eye......
In shock he grabs the small device with the small blinking light. Reading the message displayed he rushes to throw all of his belongings together. He leaves the room in perfect condition with not a single item of his own left behind.
Through the empty hallways he climbs the stairs to the third floor and enters the Hanger Bay. A small device in his pocket deactivates the SEP of Ocean Cloud he boards his shuttle, checks the contents to confirm he is alone, and powers up. The Hanger door creeps open, and moments later, He is gone*

OOC: Okay...we're losong everyone, and that's not good. Even long time regulars are dissapearing. I think it's about time we did something to bring them all back. TRM, what do you think?

Soul and Serenity's wedding would be a perfect opportunity for everyone who is still on here to get ahold of everyone who is no longer on the TREE, and invite them back, even if just for this big event. I miss everyone. We need 'em all back. We can't let the TREE die!

OOC: Yes, Soul, I've noticed that since we have gone to the 'no peril' threads, we have lost the majority of our posters. I'm thinking that we will need to have a change. After things settle from the aftermath of the babies, I was planning for the next thread to be Thread 50: "Sereni-Tree: New Beginnings". We can start now by asking what folks want to do with the Sereni-Tree.

*A wormhole opens up just above Earth-That-Still-Is and Ocean Cloud is spat out back into the space from which it had departed a month ago. Though if all had gone according to plan... only a few hours had passed. BlackJackRackham looks over his shoulder at the items he's returned with, and a wicked grin crosses his face.
He pressses a button on the control panel as he approaches and creeps back into the opening Hanger Bay.
Minutes later the Pirate is unloading his booty and stacking onto a large flatbed cart. Ensuring he has everything, he closes up the Cloud and reactivates the SEP.
The cart is wheeled down to the elevator and down the hall to JadeHand's room. As many things are returned to their place, and stacks of dirty clothing are piled side by side, he pulls the bottle from his holster and drinks deeply from his rum.
Two large kegs of rum are placed in the corner of the room, suitcases are retuned to their place, and he reaches into his bag and withdrawls a small white box. He opens it again to confirm the contents and smiles at the glowing dubloon on the small necklace. He closes the small case and ties the small pink ribbon around it into a bow.*
"Seraphina will love this...when she's older. Thanks Rose."
*He peals of a nametag and his clothing and hair shift back to normal, a worn and weary JadeHand strolls into the shower*

**OOC: I've been around, but just haven't felt very creative. I've been out of work since November 11 and it's starting to wear on me -- not the not working part, but the lack of cash. I had to move in with a friend because I could no longer afford the house I was renting, and things just aren't going well (not the friend part, just things related to job hunting and health issues). I guess depression is starting to set in. I do like the fun threads, but the ones who used to have fun with them didn't show up to play. One thing for sure, we really can't let the threads become nothing but peril. We need to get that good mix going. Have some peril for a little while, then break for some fun -- but let some fun play out before introducing an issue. Heck, we have a baby on board now (and the kids are around somewhere), so there can be all kinds of story lines around that that involve peril

OOC: I would like the tree to be a place with enough peril to make things seem at least challenging. We don't have to fight pitched battles non stop. but I fear a ship full a replicators and holo decks where everything is easy and all of us becoming soft, fat and spoiled. Let's have adventures, interspersed with a reasonable amount of liesure time and recuperation. The simple pleasures in life are better appreciated after they are earned. I'm not a big fan of rainbows, unicorns, fairies and the like but I am willing to be reasonable and share so long as others will return the courtesy. Of course if there is to be no peril what so ever then the Tree will become SR's version of the Shire, a quiet place to retreat to and relax in between adventures, and I will find my fun on the special branch.

OOC: I don't think it's the last of the tree. TRM may be in the process of alerting our missing crew to see if they can come up with a storyline.

With the heat wave we've been having, I haven't been able to get online as much because I'm living in a house with no A/C. As we all know (or should know), computers and heat over 80 degrees does not mix...

So, I'm assuming that it's a mixture of heat and plotting...

Well, It's baby shower time. I think all the decorations and food and gifts are waiting. The happy couple should be thrilled at all the diapers and little pink outfits, and the tiny little shoes.

Getting the serious feeling that she's being followed, she looks back and see the other baby rabbits sneaking single file along the wall. The crazy one of the litter attempting to do it backwards. Picking him up, she addresses the others.

"ok troops! This is a tough one! your mission is one you have never known before. It will be hard. It will be noisy! It will be full of strange cooing noises!

OOC: Actually, I spent the 4th of July with my brother, his wife, and my darling nieces. Then when I got back, I found myself stuck in a rather hot project at work. I will return, but until then, we have CUTE BUNNIES!

Oh, and I have no idea about Corbin's name. ThatWeirdGirl named all the Yeti back when we first met them on Black Diamond. Even she has forgotten the reasons why, but she remembered that she had to think about each name carefully. Oh, and SR or McQ informed us that Corbin was female. And Serenity or Seryn decided one of the Yeti was pregnant. So you see, I had absolutely NOTHING to do with it!

Shadow snuck silently into the decorated room and slipped over to the table of gifts quickly depositing two packages.

She and Ghost had worked hard to get these gifts ready, after all, these people had been nice so far anyway. And babies were innocent.

Her mission complete the girl slipped out of the room, Ghost was waiting as was the odd room she had found. Maybe she and Ghost could stay there.

(The packages are wrapped in old newspaper and not wrapped well (hey they're just kids), on one is something resembling the letter Y and another the letter S because neither girl can read or write well Y for Yeti and S for Serenity)

they do have natural predators, somewhere. I was told about them anyway. Yeti for one apparently.

Esme wont have any more for many years, i'm not sure what the guy who owned them said - he was drunk and his translator was worse, but i got the feeling he was talking decades.
And as for eating us, no, that couldn't happen. the trick is to get them all owners - as long as they are around humans, humans are one of their own. Hence the reason they'll leap to my defence... but let them go feral... yeesh. There was one famous one, lived in a cave somewhere in england... ate a few of Arthurs nights one time. was eventually killed by a bunch of monks and some kind of divine artillery.

But that could just be the drink talking.

Well, there's a bit of food here for the party, should keep the alcohol from making us fall down, at least until our supper thing. I'll cook us up something nice in my room. Chinese or Mexican are easiest for me, but if you prefer something else let me know. Of course if we end up getting there and falling down first, we'll just make it breakfast.

TheRealMe walks onto the Sereni-Tree’s bridge, to find Quincey up in the pilot dome. She is still as she was for the Second Gala Pageant: naked except for a layer of blue and yellow body paint.

“Oh, hello, Bride5! Uh, what are you doing here?”

Quincey raises an eyebrow and frowns. “Hovering. As ordered by you. Perhaps you remember? Something about not performing a wedding while grounded?”

TheRealMe grins sheepishly. “Ah, yes, of course!” He gazes out of the bridge’s windows at the impossibly huge Tree looming above him. “Hmmm… I see that we are still in close proximity to the Tree. Good! Hold her steady, Bride5.”

TheRealMe climbs into one of the empty control stations and raises his arms. A pair of metal and plastic gauntlets descends to encase them. As TheRealMe moves his arms about, this activates the massive grappler arms on the sides of the Sereni-Tree. He flexes his arms and moves his fingers about. The grappler arms mimic him. “Computer, open main cargo bay hatch.”

The computer sounds like Eddy Izzard doing an impersonation of James Mason: “Acknowldeged. Main cargo bay hatch open.”

With great concentration, TheRealMe maneuvers the grappler arms to gently pick up the Original Clubhouse from the cargo bay and deposit it onto a branch of the Tree. Quincey keeps the ship level and steady as a rock. TheRealMe smiles. “There! We have a treehouse again, for those that want it. Computer, close main cargo bay hatch.”

”Acknowldeged. Main cargo bay hatch closed.”

TheRealMe shrugs in a certain way and raises his arms. The control gauntlets detach and rise to the ceiling, deactivating the grappler arms. “Say, Bride4? How are the repairs coming?”

From down in Engineering, Jet’s voice comes over the com. “Everything is pretty much ready to go. Got the mains online. We are spaceworthy again. We could even fight if we had to.”

“Excellent! What about the permanent dimensional portal to the Pub at the Bottom of the Tree?”

There is no response for a moment as Jet checks some readings. “Yeah, that’s fine. Strong connection through the hyperspace link.”

TheRealMe keys the com for ship-wide broadcast. “Hello everyone. This is Me. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m about ready to move on from this place. I have put the Original Clubhouse in the Tree, so we have a Treehouse again. Anyone may stay aboard Sereni-Tree or may occupy the Treehouse or may wander back and forth between them as you desire. However, if you elect to say aboard Sereni-Tree, I must warn you that there may be… peril!”

*Sera's buuny has stopped doing handstands and backflips and has curled up next to Sera on Serenity's lap, looking both completely harmless and very protective of the baby.*

I think the bunny will be a nice addition to our family.

I'm thinking we can call her Toki. What do you think? It means "Rabbit" in Korean.

Seryn joins walks over and wraps her arm around SR waist, then turns to Soul and Sernity. She's absolutely wonderful. And quiet! I just know mines going to be a screamer. It runs in the family - granpa use to take great delight in telling me how i screamed so hard in the days leading up to my naming ceremony that they had to cancel it and send all the guest home thinking i was dying".

Serenity looked at Sera, the releived sigh almost inaudiable, while Seryn picked up the boots Safe had sent.

"It always amazes me how small feet can be - i mean we all met Safe, can you believe that once upon a time, he was small enought to fit these?"

She looked up at SR "I mean in theory - you were once small enough to fit these.... But i don't believe it."

She bent and gave a very brief hug to Serenity, then spoke to SR, "come on then, I believe we have a game of tennis, or metaphysics or something. And we have to discuss soundproofing in my apartment."

*true story - the vicar thought i was posessed - he'd never seen a baby that angry, while my parents thought i had meningitis, and the Dr concluded that i just had a very bad temper.

Hey, did you notice how everyone in that post had a name beginning with S? Scary.
