Who's the best looking actor/actress in Firefly/Serenity in other words who do you want to hump the most.

Is it...Summer,Nathan,Gina,Alan, Morena,Adam,Jewel,Sean,or even Ron.

The best looking is obviously Serenity(ship) but if you made me choose an actor/actress its easily Summer Glau,she's got it all cute,thin,brunette, tall,and gorrum mega sexy.

Isn't it obvious? Okay, maybe it's just obvious to me I seriously love Joss for having our male BDH's take their shirt off for some reason or another over the course of the show...

1. Adam Baldwin...the man is the hottest thing on this planet. Have you seen his arms? His face? *Drools all over the keyboard from thinking about him*

2. Nathan Fillion-after seeing "Trash"...well...lets just say "yum"

3. Now it gets a little harder-I want to say Simon because of his amazing body-but Alan seems like such a sweety pie-I'm gonna go with Simon here...he's sort of a classic good-looking type.

4. Alan Tudyk-it's really a tie for third and fourth-this man is soo yummy looking

5. Ron Glass-he's an awesome actor, and seems like a pretty cool person, but he's a little out of the age range (okay, well, so are the others, but him even more so)

As for the girls of the show...in terms of who I think are prettiest I'd have to go with this list

1. Gina Torres
2. Morena Baccarin
3. Jewel Staite
4. Summer Glau

That's just my opinion...and they are all very pretty, but if I had a chance to magically switch bodies...that would be my list.

Morena for me. She's got a classicly beautiful face. Her figure is incredible. She's not a stick figure. She's got all the curves in all the right places. Also, she seems like a great person in real life. From what I've seen of her in interviews she's a sweetheart. She gets an A+.

I sincerely hope, that every male poster in this thread, who thinks that Summer Glau is sexy (in the movie) is very, very young, otherwise, he might go to the special hell ... (hoever, I admitt, that in the "civilan outfit" posted here, she looks older and more like a woman)

For me, I think, Simon is the best-looking male character (face and bodywise). However, the face I put as a still frame on my TV set some times (making my heart bump) is Mal - not just for how he looks, but for who he is. His smile, by example, is so rare and born under so much difficulties, that is is especially precious. His eyes can be filled to the rim with the affection, he would never admit. But they can also be so determined, closed off, if he has to hurt someone, he likes (like Wash in "Out of Gas").

For me, I don't like things that I find beautiful, instead I find the things beautiful that I like. Therefore, I can't say anything about Nathan Filion (now am I complicated?)

This is like some kind of nightmare - havin' to chose n'all -

if I were to pin up one of them on my wall it would be Nathan - his expressions are so perfectly ecconomic but completely convey what the character is going through at that moment

If I got to live my fantasy it has to be Adam The whole Jayne takin' me and... errr isn't it time you kids went to bed?? Besides I've fantasised about him since I used to freeze-frame Major Mitchell in Independence Day

If it was who I wanted for a boyfriend it would be Sean - he seems so sweet and attentive and looks simply delicious in that picture you posted Phoenix Rose!!

If I wanted a husband it would definitely be Alan- he seems such a cute and wonderful man and such a sense of graciousness and humour!! I'd keep him for life!

If I wanted to look like one of the BDH's.. that'd be a toss up between Jewell & Morena- they both have such femininity about them in the series (if a little too skinny in the film)

If I was to get to be one of them for real it would be a toss up between Summer and Gina for very different reasons! I love Summers' freshness and apparently unspoilt nature in this business (as well as those legs!) Gina is just so drop dead gorgeous (and look who she's married to!)!

And if I got to live on a desert island with one of them - Ron coz he'd take care of me and keep me warm and know things that ought to be known on a desert island... And he'd have so many wonderful stories to tell!!

I don't think there is such a thing as the best looking. I mean, let's face it. That's a ship full of very, very pretty people. But who anyone considers the hottest is always based on personal taste. I mean, there are *lots* of fans out there who adore Adam, but I'm much more attracted to Sean and Nathan.

So if you ask which cast member I'd rin away with, it would be Sean. But if he were unavailable I'd be just as happy with Nathan As for the girls, they're all lots prettier than me. I really can't judge which of them comes first! They're all hotties.

Not sure if your comment was directed at me, but my list was Actor based and not character based, although it would still be similar. Best looking to me is still best looking. The looks of the characters don't change a ton.

I can appreciate Gina's beauty, but to be honest with you, she breathes REALLY loudly and it annoys me. Call me shallow, but I just can't get past it. :diappointed:

Jewel and Summer are the two who look the least like their characters. Both are beautiful, but Summer is stunning.

But sometimes the actor is more appealing than the character or vise-versa. Good example, I think Ron Glass is more appealing than Book, just because he laughs so easily. And Inara might have more apeal than Morena just on the basis of being bisexual. That kind of thing.

Oh my God, such a difficult question!

If we're going purely by looks, then Sean win's prettiest male, because... he's just plain beautiful.

Nathan and Alan rank second together, Adam comes fourth, Ron comes in last even though he is incredibly attractive for a man his age (at least, in the movie he is, in the series not quite so).

Just by looks Gina.
Morena and Summer come in second.
Jewel third.

Of course, this list would look very different if it were the characters or if personality was to be considered.

Understandable. It's just that if Mal is gonna put me through what he put Inara through, I think I'll pass. Not saying it was all his fault (Inara certainly brings her own issues to the table), but jeepers cripes, that man is hard to deal with. Be fair now. An equal part of that dance was Inara. It was Mal who was going to declare feelings first (Heart of Gold) and Inara cut him off and told him she was leaving. IMO, it was always Inara who kept Mal at a distance, not the other way around.

I do acknowledge that Inara has her own set of problems, and that she contributed a great deal to the difficulties between her and Mal. It's just that Mal can be a really hard person to talk to. I don't know many women that would relish being called a whore constantly (whether they fit the term or not). Mal is a very stubborn man, and while that can be a useful quality, it can be a irrtating deterrent to forming a realtionship.

My top pick would probably have to be Morena, then Summer, then Jewel, then Gina, I put Gina and Jewel last mainly because they're married. I like the Middle Eastern to Eastern look of Morena and Summer.

Now, while I am by no means sly, I would probably go for Sean('cause as has been pointed out, if I was attracted to a guy, Sean looks really good shirtless.) My next choice would be Nathan('cause he's freakin' Hi-larious!) Adam and Ron are a little to rugged and old Repectively, for my taste.

Edit: I forgot Alan! Shame on ME!! I don't know, maybe Alan nudges past Nathan just for being funnier.

Nathan is awfully attractive, too, though.

See now, that doesn't bother me much. They both call each other names. Mal calls Inara a whore, she calls him a petty theif, only once of which he takes exception.

And I'm not really sure the term "whore" would carry such a derogatory meaning in the 'Verse as it does today. Whoring is legal. The only difference between Inara and Nandi is registration with the Guild. There is a larger difference between Inara and the other Heart of Gold whores, mainly training, but they are all practicing the same profession, some just with better skills.

I still think Inara's walls are higher and more solid that Mal's.

Wow, PhoenixRose. That is a great pic of the cast! I haven't seen that one yet. Do you know where I can get a larger version (although this one has a pretty high resolution already).

As far as my choices for best looking, I am very surprised that Moreena hasn't done better. I think she is one of the most beautiful actresses around. I like the Inara character as well. My brother thought she had gained weight when he saw the BDM. I don't know if that is correct, but she did look different somehow. All I know is that she looked awesome in the series.

I also think River and Zoe are very attractive. I like Kaylee, but I am not as enamored with her or Jewel as most others seem to be.

I think all of the men are attractive (they are in showbiz after all). I just don't feel like ranking them

I don't think it's the historical connotations of the term. Inara feels comfortable with the profession she's chosen. Where the problem comes in is that when Mal calls Inara a whore, he does it intentionally to hurt her.

I wouldn't say Inara's walls are stronger, she just hurts in different ways than Mal. Think about Heart Of Gold when she found out Mal had slept with Nandi. Even though she put on a brave face, she was on the floor crying in the next scene. Whereas with Mal, bringing up Serenity Valley would have a similar effect (maybe not the crying, but you get the idea).

P.S. - Sorry about the thread-jacking. I do tend to ramble on.

It's got to be Nathan, Nathan, Nathan. I've never met him but have heard from lots of people who have plus seen lots of pics including a bunchs of candid ones and besides being so good looking, intelligent and witty he seems like a really nice guy.

I enjoy watching Gina Torres. I particulary like watching her walking a away. She looks grand swaying those hips of hers. Where the legs meet. And above too. I like her waist. The way it twists with her hips. I do beleave if I had the luck to have her attention I would walk ten feet behind her just to watch. If she wasn't cast as Zoe I bet she would have been a great Inara. She could bend me into a pretzel. I'll be in my bunk.

I am sort of viewing this question as who really sets off the fire sprinklers both in and out of character.

For me, Summer is the one that is the sexiest. Her publicity photos above speak for themsleves and as River she does sort of tempt me toward the aforementioned special hell. Perhaps it is the underlying promise of a dancer's flexability.

As for the men, I am envious of how Adam can cause so many female fans to gush about their emotions and the accompanying physiological effects when they mention him. The girls love Mal but, from my vantage point, Nathan doesn't seem to elicit the same responses.

As Magdelena mentioned, Sean is just hot in that picture. He is way hotter as Sean than as Simon when he's being all stiff and proper.
Yeah, I think Gina could have made a good Inara, too. But I love her as a warrior woman. I love women who fight, too. Actually, anyone good with weapons can be sexy in my book. Maybe that's why I so prefer Gina and Summer; they pull it off so well.

My vote, hands down, is Mrs. Saffron Renolds.

I've always been a sucker for buxom redheads, and ok, so she's a double-crossing, theiving, murderous con-artist...all married couples have their little quirks that require getting used to.

Summer's the prettiest there. Let's make it clear that Serenity is not in this lineup.
Gina? She's got the -- now, there's another word similar to the word I'm gonna use, and it means ugly. I don't mean that word, and don't hold me to the idea that I do. 'cause I don't. -- homey feel. She's a pretty that people can actually aspire to have.
I don't like Morena much for prettyfulls, though I admit that her character is most done-up.

I'm one of those people who can admit a man is pretty on very rare occasions. This horribly conflicts with the fact that I'm a girl. Pffth.

Why do I have to have this conflict!? I dunno, none of them come across as pretty to me.
