apparently there's a pub down the road where people from csts are planning to meet, although mcdonalds was mentioned... but I'm not arriving til the evening so I wasn't really paying attention.

Cheers mate. I'm going to be there early, cos I'm in London that week on holiday (culture vulture donchaknow), and I'm checking out of my other hotel in the am.
On the other hand, I'm fat and I will be equipped with a laptop, and will be parked probably in a wifi zone, so I'll be fairly easy for others to spot.

Im going, yay! I'm a bit nervous as i dont really know anyone, though this will be my first convention and im looking forward to meeting fellow browncoats. I'll be checking into my hotel about noon (couldnt get into the Thistle so im just down the road). I will then go in search of anyone shiny. I'll be the guy wandering around with a'lost' expression on his face.

I think sticky labels sounds like a fine idea - having got to the end of D*c and still being a little fuzzy on the names of some folks.
Does anyone know any more about whats happening? It only a week away and still no info on the themes for the parties, the final guest and some kind of schedule listing.
or am i asking too much?
and the cult dancing the browncoats mentioned on the other thread (the link above) does that sound bloody scary or what?

As far as I can tell, there's a pirate party on one of the nights, but I don't know about the other nights. I'm gonna call sean and try to find out in a couple of hours.

I'm very disappointed that there's no themed partiesannounced yet. This surely means that fewer people will bother preparing outfits (and I LOVE dressing up!)
If you get any news I'd love to hear it. I was planning on bringing my weches outfit inhonour of Talk Like A Pirate Day anyway! (Plus I love my corset!)

There's nothing official, but from what I can tell, the general consensus is that sat will be a pirate night, fri is shindig/companians, and sun might be hawaiian themed, but like I said, as far as starfury is concerned, they're normal discos, so all this is unofficial, just done via various groups.

I was planning to hit the V&A on thursday, get a few sketches of bit i've been meaning to get for a long time, and maybe some chinese print ideas for t shirts, but i also wanted to go to the science museum, since i haven't been there since i was about, well, minus two months old? i think...

i'll be going as a pirate wench on the saturday, possibly slutty-pirate if the skirt I'm making works out, or non-slutty-pirate if I wear my backup skirt. the other nights I'll probably just wear normal clothes (I'm not sure if I'm staying for sunday night though) oh, I'm a girl btw 
and definately planning to avoid the cult dancing, that's not really my thing
