I almost think there was at one point a group of uber-Xena fans that hit up every computer possible in rounds (like at a library or school), so that no one computer voted before its own hour was up (does that make sense at all?).

I enjoyed Xena for what it was, a fun show that never really took itself seriously BUT I certainly don't want to see it at #1 but it seems alot of other fans do so all we Browncoats can do is keep voting. We did move up past Roswell and are gaining on Gunsmoke.

Maybe they have a fan site that finally found the vote. They are still behind us, but if they keep voting we will be passed this week if we don't step it up.

On the plus side - we're not far off Gunsmoke now - much quicker than I had anticipated.

The big question is how many Lexx fans will _consistently_ vote? We've been getting >400 votes a day for almost 10 days now. I doubt they will keep up 2,134 votes a day consistenly. (Plus I wouldn't be surprised if there is an investigation into that figure - sounds awful high)

I been quietly voting for Firefly since beginning of the year. Back in July/August I saw Firefly come within less than 500 votes of passing Roswell, then suddenly the votes dropped off and they pulled out ahead again. That was sooo depressing.

Also, I think it is possible to vote 24 times a day... after you vote and it shows the time, if you change your computer's clock that time changes too...

Technicially, it's not cheating since a dedicated person could vote 24 times a day...

And I hope everyone noticed that the only show that comes close to our daily total votes is Bonanza... so watch out the Browncoat Army is coming!

Sadly, this won't work. The clock they use to measure the times is the clock on the server, not the little javascript clock they put on the thanks for voting page....

Of course, if you have more than 1 computer with different IP addresses (say, work and home) then you could vote from each one.

a) KEEP UP MOMENTUM! Gunsmoke is not that far behind and we don't want to lose ground! (I have never seen the thing, but it is on TV every single ruttin' time I go through my TV Guide)

b) KEEP UP MOMENTUM! to overtake Queer as Folk. The results won't come as quickly, but we're going to push through and keep the end in sight, no matter how long it takes!

The magic spreadsheet I've been keeping for the last week or so shows that if all the fans keep voting for all their shows at roughly the same rate as they are now (yeah, yeah, I'm smellin' the "if" too):
Firefly should catch "Queer as Folk" the last week of October/1st week of November.
Farscape should fall to our inexorable advance some time around the end of the year!
Does that seem right to you?

The magic spreadsheet I've been keeping for the last week or so shows that if all the fans keep voting for all their shows at roughly the same rate as they are now (yeah, yeah, I'm smellin' the "if" too):
Firefly should catch "Queer as Folk" the last week of October/1st week of November.
Farscape should fall to our inexorable advance some time around the end of the year!
Does that seem right to you?

Ok, well, if anyone has the stamina to fight for seemingly unreachable goals it would have to be the Browncoats. However, it may be time to start thinking outside the box and consider some ways to bring our numbers up faster.

I did quite like the post about ordering one's employees to vote for Firefly. And, as mentioned before, whenever I go to the library I make the rounds on multiple computers to get in those extra votes.

Anyone with some fresh ideas to propel us towards a quicker victory?

Thought you guys might like some stats.

From Oct 1 thru today:

Queer As Folk is averaging 46 votes a day, Firefly is averaging 465 daily.

At the current voting rate, we'll overtake QAF Oct 31st!

As a side note, during the last 5 days, Firefly is averaging 488 votes daily (QAF is 47) so we should blow them away sooner than the end of the month.

Awesome TV show. I just finished watching the series. What stands out from Firefly than other SF shows is that Firefly's character’s all have fascinating and deep personal backgrounds. The writers are fantastic!!!! There is action, romance, humor, grief; what an emotional roller coaster ride. What was the network thinking when it was cancelled? The movie was just as good. So sad….. Got my vote!!!!!!
