It depends how you count. If you include the first post then you are number 800. If you count the replies than I was. But we did it. I just can't believe my computer can bring this one up. It takes more than a minute and I would have thought my computer would crash before that.

Hello Everyone:

Well three people quit my department this month.
Should I be getting a clue?
That bag of peanuts they leave every week may be just a little less than I could get elsewhere.
I don't know. Maybe I should be checking the terrain and seeing what lies over the next hill.
I have gone through so many jobs in my profession I hate to keep changing. I would like to finally have some history with a company. But that does not seem to be the way of things. People bounce around like ping-pong balls. Well that's my thought for today. I'm going to give this a lot of thought.

If you want a new career as a wildlife care-giver in Australia... the pay's lousy - but look at the cuteness of a little wombat who's too young to leave the pouch yet...

Oh & trivia fact for the day... wombats are the only marsupial to have a pouch facing backwards... this is because if their pouch faced 'forwards' it would probably fill up with dirt when the wombat was digging it's burrow... poor baby wombat would be all grubby then...

We've had every other furry creature so far.

The guy who sits next to me told me he is leaving in two weeks. Man, I just get someone broken in and they take a hike. He really is a nice guy too. We got along and he would roll his eyes everytime I mentioned Firefly and say "Addicted".

We had a great time. They better find someone who I can get along with or I'm next.

Will stop ranting now. Got to rant on occasion or brain will overload.

Traveler...I hear ya. While I've actually got tenure/senority where I'm at, we've had several times when I kept looking about me wondering if I was too blind to see the rats abandoning ship.

Having folks bolt before they've even got their 6 month review is especially dis-heartening. (We've had several do it just because of the supervisor's attitude. Gah!)

Taking stock in the sitch is a very good idea. You don't want to stay if they're going down for the count, but don't rush into anything 'cause frankly, the job market really sucks dead wombats through straws. I've got friends who are very well educated, and haven't been able to get a job other than temping for the past two years. (This is why I've stayed put. Much as I hate the gos-se that goes on, it's a regular paycheck.)

So, take it easy, okay? *hugs*

Oh & just coz I adore her... ... I used to love the old classic Betty Boop - but then everyone jumped on the bandwagon and she kind of got a make-over... I think the cartoon makers of the early days were on some serious drugs...

Jie-jie, the cute little guy is called Gir, and he was the lovable robot-disguised-as-dog sidekick of the infamous Invader Zim. Much like our beloved Firefly, Invader Zim was a show cancelled way before its time and has since become a cult DVD classic.
