That's what I thought too. I was wondering how the Bonanza-ers and Xenites (*chuckle chuckle*)got so many votes.

The fans of Bonanza have a few websites, chief among them is a site with a honest to goodness discussion board with subjects like "Jeff's gloves" and "Why is Bonanza rated PG?" They also have a so-called mailing list,whereby they contact all their members and inform them of events and such. I suppose they used this to garner votes. They are steadfastly kicking the Xenites'behinds. (*giggle giggle*) I noticed that the Xenites (*coughing*) are a bit stressed about that.

That's a strange bunch of shows. Does anyone really think that Xena, LaFemme Nikita, Lexx are worthy of votes? It's nice the Browncoats are making a push on this...but it really seems like a bunch of hooey. MASH isn't on there, nor is the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and West Wing is second to last...I may be a sci-fi geek and a Browncoat, but even I realize that there are tons of other shows that could be considered "the best" that aren't there.

Oh well, voted for Firefly anyway! I didn't read every post on this thread, has anyone started listing their favorite all-time shows? Here's mine:

I know what you mean. But I suppose the voting is a good measurement of how strong the fans feel about their particular show.

Shows like Westwing or 24 do not necessarily have the type of fan who would join a fancommunity.

The voting doesn't necessarily test the "best" show, in the strictest sense of the word....it does test the most "favourite" show. And I'm happy with that. It shows our power.

We're doing great, pulling in awesome numbers, keep it up and we'll overtake Farscape well before Christmas!

I do have one other minor little request I'm just going to throw out there... the site has added, or reinstated rather, a nomination poll. Unlike the voting poll you can only nominate one per hour. Now, there are a lot of great shows on the list, but the top two, who are neck and neck, are Wagon Train and House MD.

Any other House fans out there, or even anyone willing to help us overcome Wagon Train? Or tell me what the hell it is? It's be appreciated, I'd like to see it make the list so I can start helping some other nominees make the cut.

One of my sociology classes looked at the response so many people have to the question, "What type of music do you listen to?" The majority would respond with "Anything really, except country/rap." Of course these are two genres of music which arose out of a lower socio-economic group than, say, teen pop.

Anyways, point being, people are really proud to say they don't like country or rap music, and apparently equally as proud to say they won't watch Science Fiction or Western shows.

I like that idea, but we need to spread the word on other sites as well. Have one vote day and smash the opposition.

At present both Xena and Bonanza are loping ahead. If we continue like this we'll catch Farscape and La Femme Nikita, but not Xena or Bonanza. They'll *always* think they're better than us.
And I cannot stand for that.

So, shall we choose a day? I think a week day would be better. If the majority of people out there spend the better part of their work day in front of a computer (like me), it might be easier to vote.

So I would suggest the 1st of December. Any thoughts?

No, actually it is 441. That's about one year and 3 months from now. We'll catch Xena before we catch Bonanza, because Bonanza is getting more votes daily than Xena. Before long they'll catch them because they are gaining approximately 150 votes a day on them.

These figures are only calculated on today's stats, and only becuase we got 184 votes more than Xena. Some days we get less than them, and then the calculations show we'll never catch them! So, to recap, if we continue to gain 184 votes a day on Xena, we'll catch them in 441 days.

We only gained 49 votes on Bonanza, which is why it will take so long to haul in.

Anyone else think this could be a scam? Who are the administrators of the site working for? Why allow more votes every 60 seconds? They could just be pulling in big advertising dollars getting all the Firefly (and other) fans to come back every hour. This just seems highly suspicious to me (but yes, I voted before I began to think this).

I vote around 3 times a day every day,sometimes 5 times on Mon,Wen,Fri when I'm in College.Keep voting & how the f**k is Xena: The Princess Warrior winning Firefly, Farscape, NCIS(funny),& CSI are way better.

Bonanza: 106430 (up by 737 votes)
La Femme: 84755 (up by 156 votes)
Farscape: 77813 (up by 176 votes)
Firefly: 62189 (up by 745 votes)

We again got the most votes in one day.

We got 52 more than Xena, 8 more than Bonanza, 589 more than La Femme Nikita, and 569 more than Farscape.

If the ratios stay the same, we should catch Farscape in 28 days.
