i just read a thread in this thread people were saying that Wesley was unsung and proceded to sing his praises but it was lost inside the other thread so i thought Hey why not post a new thread just about WWP. I think he's great and is one of my favorite characters from the Buffyverse. My favorite Wesley moment was early in season 2 ithink. Cordelia was having a party and a cute girl was chatting Wesley up and he nervous iejit he could be was terrribly awkard with her (almost as terribly awkard as my spelling and composition) so she says 'what a lovely sweater. is it handknit?' and he responds 'certainly not by me!" i just love that and chuckle now even thinking about it. Well i have to go and slap my knee now

YAY! more Wes talk! (me being one of the freaks who hijacked that previous thread and then all hell broke loose)
that's was a funny episode.. I loved angel picturing himself dancing. That was HI-larious.

Lol - I just saw that episode for the first time (on DVD). The dancing was hilarious! I loved the ending credits: it faded to balck, and had Joss Whedon and David Greenwalt; but then it cut to him and Wes dancing. Man, was that funny.
The sweater bit was cool, too. "I'll pass that on...to the person who knit it. Or I would, if I knew who they were. Which I don't. So I guess I won't pass it on to anyone, will I?"

Awww, I love Wesley. The thing that appeals to me most about the character is that he has changed SO much over the years. If someone had told me way back when he was on Buffy that Wesley was going to develop the way he has I would have laughed in their face. Of course, then I would have thought about it and realized it is possible because, hey, such is the wonder of a Joss Whedon show.

I agree, he has some pretty funny moments. Even now that he is no longer completely awkward. They did good work in developing his character.

I loved the one where he had Lilah chained up in the closet... that isn't a reflection on me is it?
" Thats not fair !!!!
I didn't even have a soul when I did that!"

I love the one where he uses his little wrist grappling hook and goes all double-o-Wesley to get out of the basement of Wolfram and Hart.
My fave sad Wes moment is when he and Cordy are bickering about something and Angel says, "Cordelia! Doyle!" AWWW, poor Wes, never really gettin the girl...
***Never judge a book by its movie***

I think, lately, one of his best moments was at the end of the episode featuring his 'father' and the cyber-ninjas.
His father grabs Fred and threatens to harm her, and without flinching, Wes empties the clip into him. Really solidified everything about him. Standing up to his father, how confident/adjusted/harder he's become. and of course, just what he feels for Fred.

I have 3 favorite Wes moments:
#3 Taking down his "father" in "Lineage". Beyond awesome. I love that they've given Wesley a darker edge without turning him evil.
#2: To Lilah: "You're still here?"
#1: His impersonation of Angel. "That's....yummy." That's my favorite Wesley episode. Having Brigid Brannagh around was really cool, too.

I could not agree with you more Kanger. Wesley is my favorite character of both Buffy and Angel. I love the evolution of the character. I have many favorite Wesley moments, but the ep Lineage from this season may be my favorite. I am really going to miss this show if no one picks it up.
May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I loved that part.
Another favorite Wes moment of mine was in 'Fredless' I think, him and Cordileia (sp?) started to play out the Buffy/Angel story for Fred. I cracked up so much when he said "Oh, Buffy! I love you so much I almost forgot to brood!" Lol, that was so funny!!!!
Wes has to be one of my most favorite characters. In the 5th season of Angel, he starts to look kinda hot to me, I must say.
Also, Wes and Fred together is my all time favorite Angel couple. I know most people dont like them together but I do! And it was the "Lineage" episode where he shot his "father" for Fred. And then these two lines made me go crazy for Fred and Wesley to get together:
Fred: He was threatening your friends.
Wesley: He was threatening you. He pointed a gun at you, Fred...so I shot him.
And then I got so mad when Knox came to take Fred home and then just left poor Wesley there! At that moment, I really just wanted to take a frying pan, smack Knox upside the head, and then throw him into the ocean! And Im not joking!
^-^
I LOVE WESLEY WYNDAM-PRICE!!!!

^-^
