Old thread was getting a bit long, so I thought we could use another picture thread. Let's put some more faces with the screen names!

Here's a fresh one of me, taken tonight at the annual christmas pagent. The reason I'm in my older, yellow CFS gear is because it was way too hot to be wearing the shiny brown uniform for promotional purposes.

Shiny! A new thread!

Here's one of my naughty doggy. She destroyed my Mum's beloved Vermont teddy bear and we had to post it all the way back to the states to the teddy bear hospital in a box with airholes and with a book (Little Miss Scatterbrain) and a packet of biscuits for the journey.

We just got her back with a doctors report detailing the extent of her injuries. She suffered from severe facial lacerations, possible brain damage and two detached retinas (we included these in an evidence bag for paw-print analysis). You will be glad to know that we were informed that after extensive surgery, and counselling for profound trauma from the attack, Eleanor Roosevelt has been discharged from their care, complete with doctor's note on after-care and a hopital ID braclet. She is now sitting up high away from dogs!

(edited to see if I can fix whatever's wrong with the piccy!)

Ah Bless, it restores your faith in the fun sillyness of the human race!

Hey Emma - I love your description of the woes of Eleanor Rooselvelt... that is so the kind of thing I would do myownself... I love that they took it all the way with their care and report and id bracelet - but Honey, I can't see your naughty baby... sorry...

Now how am I going to recognise the 'phantom teddy bear attacker' next time I'm in the UK...?

Oh, EmmaRigby, I am so glad to know that the Teddy is recovering after the sever brain damage. Sitting high away from naughtly dogs is a great idea. The mug shots of the prisoner, who was charged with grievous teddily harm, are too cute.

My dog, currently sitting on my lap and making typing very difficult, has just promised me that he would never attack an innocent teddy.... However, he has hinted that there may have been a case of mistaken identity with a cushion which seems to be a permisable practice target for when cats aren't around (and are a lot easier as they don't run away and don't have claws).... Cats are the ENEMY and must be chased from the garden.

Ah, you be careful. It starts with cushions but before long their doggy friends are egging them on to try a taste of teddy, it's what all the cool dogs are doing. It's a slippy slope.

I find it best to break their spirits early through intense humiliation. Here's a pressie I knitted for my freind's dog.

Thanks Magda, I mean it, you're a sweetheart and someone I'm proud to know!

I just wanted to tell another quick story about my big beast of a dog, since this just this minute happened.

She was having a mad half hour and, whilst throwing her own toy about and running after it in a crazy fashion, managed to run full pelt into a wall, so hard that the room shook and a picture fell off the wall onto her head. She's fine (but a bit embarrassed), but the really weird thing is, I was singing 'Memories' at the time at the top of my voice, as I tend to do when alone in the house, and had just got to the words "Shattered pictures" when the collision happened! Freaky huh!?

Ok, here's my addition to the gallery. My cat decided to crawl up on my back and fall asleep on my shoulder while I was using my laptop. So I grabbed my cell and took this pic. Kryten, my little parrot kitty...

Oh.... I think you broke my squee! Welcome home Roxy!! I love that picture - and your cat is a smaller version of my friend 'Snookie', who is no longer with us I am afraid... there used to be the cutest photo of me and him curled up by the fire fast asleep... but alas, the photo was wiped on my friends hard drive and I never had a copy... I must admit that I am not usually a 'cat person' but Snookie and I were special friends!

The dog I am looking after at the moment likes to chase and pounce and viciously attack her own teddy bear - there is really no stuffing left in him ... the teddy I mean... but she is such a sweet little Foxie that she snuggles up with her teddy and all is forgiven as far as the poor teddy is concerned!

Emma I adore you too, Honey - and I think I am lucky to have you as a friend! I love your story about the dog hitting the wall while you were singing - I do sing at the top of my lungs too... and it sometimes leads to seriously messed up behaviour in the pets I'm caring for at the time!

Hey Emma,

The picture of your friend's sight hound gave me whiplash as MalsWay (wife) and I are owned by five greyhounds. They all have their coats in case they get stuck outside in what passes for winter around here. Nice coat!

These aren't me, as the only new ones I took of myself are in the hands and feet thread, but here are a few of my little future browncoats:

Here's Aiden, taking up one of daddy's vices, and also holding his favorite mascot

He has this really cheesy grin he flashes whenever he sees the camera, and he managed to climb into that sink all by himself (he climbs just about everywhere).

One of both of them playing, and then Zachary in my favorite chair (is it obvious that he likes to be naked?)

Madga!
You brighten my day.
You're the bestest.

I still lack inspiration, though , and haven't taken any pictures in a while (relatively speaking). This is all I have to offer. A camera-phone picture taken a while ago, which seems to subtly follow my "run away (with me)" line of thinking:

Now I have to brave the holiday shopping again, for yesterday's venture was nigh fruitless. Except for the banana I had, but that wasn't what I was talking about. *flee!*

Magda...thank you for the smile, qing ren! But why the different color masks? And I see the cross! How many days left to D*C?

Gladiator, only thing that pops into my mind is "Rico.....Suave!"

MonksDad, that is an awesome shot! Cute little Browncoat, too. Thank you for sharing!

Steamer, my stepfather would love to meet you...he has a fascination with trains!

Hell's Kitten...so, when is the escape again?
And I know I don't have to ask, because I already know the answer...but are those the Jayne shirts from Serenity? Add that to Nandi's dress and Kaylee's overalls...you're collecting the whole set! Did you happen to get ahold of anything of Mal's?

Hobbleit, I love the hat, too!

Roxy. Oh, Roxy. *sigh* Insert anyone of my previous statements here. Yep. Just...wow again.

Haha... Kate Bush.... BURN!!!!

Nah... j/k. Kate was a big musical artist from UK in the late 70's, early 80's. Comming from a crazy guy, namely myself, Bush was pretty much a nutjob (in society's view), even going as far as to alienate her own audience with her constant changes in taste. Kinda like Jewel does, except for the very opposite (not monitary) reasons.

I think she's quite intriguing.

That's a dead sexy costume, HK. I think you should add more shimmery satin ribbons to the skirt, to match the bodice. That's just me, though.
I haven't thought about any costumes at all, other than my coat, which I already have. I'm currently very worried about even being able to afford the trip, so I can't really shell out anything extra on costumes or other fun things

Huh...it took a minute, but I can see the Kate Bush "presence"...yeah, the whole ethereal goddess...yep.
Oh, and Kate Bush is still a viable artist, but she has slowed down a little bit as far as output goes. I have been a fan since the late 80's, and have not yet been alienated by her changes. She's quite good. HK, if you like Lettie (the one you posted links to...thanks for that new obsession, by the way) you should like Kate.

Jonny, you have shame about the plugging of your Christmas blog, and you have no shame about posting a pic of the guy with the tan waist down and the incredible white bod from the waist up. I think he should have gone to a tanning salon before attempting this cartwheel.

It's been awhile since I've posted a pic, so here I am. I'm actually trying to have a little smile because when I make a BIG smile my eyes squint and disappear.

I thought it would be nice to advertise for the Bedlam Bards, and their CD On the Drift. Here's the cover from the CD.

I tried to take a picture of the CD in the plastic container, and I noticed that it reflected the image of my TV. Can you tell what I'm watching? It's the reverse image.

OK, by this time I was feeling pretty silly taking pictures of myself, so as you can see my eyes have gone into the squinty mode.

That last one is just outside my parents house - there is usually a lovely view of hills and low mountains, but not this week... I will try to take a photo soon to give you a comparison! Edit: they look really dark but they were taken mid-afternoon and there are actually no clouds in the sky, just smoke...
