We've had great success with people showing off themselves...now it's time to show off your pets! I've included Rex 4, 5, and 6 in order. Sadly the picture of Rex 4 was taken shortly before her passing away. Rex 6 is my current hamster. Also included a picture of my short-lived fish, Bianco, the seniors in my school had a cruel idea of a joke when they put fish in every toilet, sink, and urinal. I took this little guy home and he managed to live a little bit longer than the other guys.

yup, cat, fond of a bit of the old herb (we had two very hairy weeks with my cat after she went on a valerian bush bender)

ok, My family will probably hunt me down and kill me for posting this (l-r, my neice, my brother, his girlfriend, the hound of the baskervilles, sorry, molly- moo, and my sister.

a picture of the puppy, doing what she does best (which is looked peeved when woken up from snoozing)

another shot of Kara-pops, when she was about two years old, I think, she wasn't full grown anyway (she filled out around the middle, took on more mastiff traits later)

Phedra, goes by the name of Fey, but anwsers to 'tuna!' (thats my mothers boyfriend providing the bunny ears by the way)

and the evil hell beast (one of the rats that came to live with me because everyone was to scared of them to clean the cage out) Maisy I think her name was. Or was she twinkle? god knows. She tried to eat me several times and went to a ratty-rehab home anyway.

Theres another puppy, Zeus (i didn't name them!) but i need to get the photo's off the disc they're on first.

Oh, shiny. I always look looking at photos of other people's pets. Especially cat's because I am a cat person myself. And on that note...

My Misty, or Misty Belle whenever we want her name to be longer. I think the above picture captures her usual "I am so smarter than you" expression. She can be a diva.

I know, they are so cute arn't they? Very easy to wind up as well, all you do is get their attention, then grin and stare at them for a little while, then yip. Et voila, two bouncy, happy, yappy, doggies. Of course, we made the mistake of doing it in the park once - er, not good. Though the warden was impressed that as soon as we said 'ok, enough!' they stopped and went to find squirrals(silently).

If only my neice were that well trained!

One thing I have to say about all the Seryn pets...Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. And because I'm partial to rodents...you get another aww. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. And thanks FutureMrsFillion, I've been lurking around for a while now, I guess it's time I get myself a coat. That;s one beautiful cat Arcadia, can't say I hold the same fondness as they make my eyes water, my nose runny, and my throat close up, but I still say that they're awful cute.

Awwwwwwww, cute browncoat pets!

I don't have any pictures of my kitty. If I could figure out how to get pics off my cellphone I have a couple in there. But they're tiny.

I can describe her, though. She was pure white, short fur, on the small side, green eyes, pink and brown nose, and she was a bit ornery. Fun to have little play-fights with. But she got very old. Health issues. Still active, though, which was the strange part. We just had to put her down. Well, really, my dad had to put her down, since she lived with him. Mommy is allergic. Anyway, this week he found out she had some chronic issues that would get worse, and the vet said it would be kinder to put her to sleep. So he did. Poor little Snowball.

Well most of you will have seen my beautiful iguana but for those who haven't:

He's called Ringo (because he's a Starr!)

My parents (who I've gone back to living with for a while) have LOTS of animals. Here are photos of our dogs, Alfie and Inca.

Alfie's an old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross and Inca is half mastiff and half bulldog (and half bulldozer!). She's not very ladylike and constantly used her 6.5 stone weight to win arguements by sitting on people and things (usually Alfie!), but she's a very cuddly lump of lard!

I was about to say it was cruel of someone to shave his fur so it looked like a little jacket! They look so adorable, all of the doggies do.

Pictures of my pets? Certainly.

First off, here's Jasper after I rescued him from the pound. I ended up having to re-home him after my evil landlord changed his mind about me having a dog. Jasper is the coolest, and even a year later I think about him daily. (and yes, he lost that 'hang-dog' expression and got his smile back)

And here's one of my favorite pictures of my other boy:

And doing what we do best:

(and yes, I make that face over every jump. It's a combination of squinting and determination. I ruin EVERY picture with that face.

I may have to steal the doggy, or just the hat. Such cute photos! I gotta learn how to sew cuz my parents sure aren't gonna spend the money to get me a Jayne hat And then I have to get my hamster to sit in it and take a picture!

If there's any more pictures of animals with the Jayne hat on please post them! (Directing this at everyone)

Well, the hat is knitted, not sewn. Even if you learned it would prolly cost a lot just to get the right knitting needles and the three colors of yarn. But my roomie makes em for a fair price cos she has the needles and the yarn. Anyhow, if yer interested in dickering over price and whatnot, send me a PM.

OK, my turn.

This is Toopid. The name is short for "Too Stupid" as when he was still a kitten he entertained himself for hours running head-first into walls. He just really liked it. When we had found homes for all his siblings, my ex-wife and I just looked at each other and said "He's just too stupid for the big world," and we decided to keep him for ourselves. He's been with me for 9 years now. He's a 24 lb Mainecoon cat.

This is Hobbit. She was a rescued cat from an abusive environment where she was kept in a basement with 7 other cats, and they occasionally got a handfull of food thrown down for them to fight over. She was 6 lbs when I got her, and you could literally count her ribs just by looking at her. She is now a healthy and happy 13 1/2 lbs.

Now you know how oblivious I am to sewing or knitting anything. I thought they were the same thing I really do appreciate it, but (seeing as I have no money of my own and my parents would call a Jayne hat a piece of junk, and then laugh at me for my crazed obsession) it won't be possible. But thank you!

PaganPaul-I love your cats. It's always nice to hear when one's rescued from a bad situation.

Oh goodie! Browncoat pets!

All of our animals are rescues. I call 'em used animals.

First, Beckham and Briggs, the two rare American shorthair strays, and Gary, the guinea pig (she's a girl):

We have another GP named Marvin. Well, I guess Marvin isn't a rescue, we bought him on purpose. But the rest are all rescues.

And then we have Bo, a rescue Keeshond:

And this is Prissy, our previous rescue Keeshond:

Fajita the Wonder Chicken:

Lucy Goose, who we fostered for awhile:

Bella the Piglet, again a foster:

I could keep going, you know.

OneManShort, the GP is okay... She and the cats are buddies. They were getting a little irritated in that picture because she kept trying to groom them, guinea-pig style, which means yanking out loose fur with her teeth.

Here is my first son....a 10 yr. old tabby named Toby:
[url] ....life is hard for him, don't cha think? lol

Next is my second son....a 6 yr. old pomeranian/chihuahua mix named Poco (short for Poquito):
[url] ....okay, life is too strenous for him too! lol

Lastly, this is a puppy I rescued and adopted out....I believed he was a chow/lab mix who I named Magoo:
[url] ....that stuff all over his face is his gruel that he had taken a nose-dive into just before the picture! (Hence the reason I named him Magoo....he was always running into things because he couldn't see very well.)

Ok, jumping on another pic thread, because yesterday I was a boy film-companion:

Darci: She's half Mainecoon (wildcat) and we think at least part Persian, so as you can guess, she is extremely moody/bitchy. We have actually had the cops called on us once before for her getting agitated (she howls loudly, she has a mighty roar).

Both of them were found within a block of our house, at the same intersection. The little one (yorkie) is Daffodil, and the other is PJ.

My son thinks he is a dog, and does everything he can to mimic PJ.

Thank you so much for your empathy. Of course, a lot of people said to me, "Well, he was quite old at 10 yrs. He had a long life." (Of course, these were people who have never had cats.) I kept trying to tell them that there are a lot of cats that live to be 20 yrs. old. And as I said before, this was very sudden. I had taken him to the vet about a week and a half ago for an antibiotic shot (he was sneezing and coughing) and he was completely better after that until late last week. All of a sudden he wasn't eating or drinking and was hiding all the time. By the time I took him back to the vet on Monday, he could barely walk. The vet said he could do testing to determine what happened but that wouldn't guarantee that they could save him. OMG, when I think about it now, all I can remember saying to him before I left the vet's office was, "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." It feels like you're giving the order to kill a member of your family. Thank goodness I still have his brother to keep me company and help me through this.

[url]

....yes, I know they don't look like brothers but they were brothers in every sense of the word! lol

....and btw, your babies are beautiful as well (although I can only see them from behind! lol)

Sometimes people can take comfort in knowing their pets don't suffer from his illness or being a hungry stray and abandoned on the street.

I don't feel like I did the right thing. How do you know you've done the right thing?

I had to put my cat Cuddles down 7 months ago.. We got Cuddles because when I had not known about laws forbidding cats in apartments. We had Cuddles for 6 years. Circumstances changed in our lives which made us move from a house partly subsidised by the Workplace's Housing Assistance plan. For a year before we put Cuddles down, I had to think about putting my cat down. I believed he knew that whole year that he would be put down too which was hard to see. We eventually took Cuddles to the RSPCA to be put down. It was the second most horrible day of my life. He was a beautiful cat.

We had to put him down because we would be homeless or living in a home 2 1/2 hours away from work if we kept him. With one of us working long hours in a responsible and stressful job living 2 1/2 hours away from work wasn't an option. People couldn't keep a cat in an apartment in Sydney as there were housing laws preventing tenants from keeping pets in all apartments. Houses and townhouses were way too expensive. Giving him away also wasn't an option because of his biting vice. (My husband had encorouged him to bite during play from an early age and he didn't grow out of it and became bigger. Also, he also didn't have any siblings in his litter to teach him not to bite)

This is a new kitty who has a stupid name. Her claws are sharp, but I am tough. *sniffle*

And her giganticist furriest tail ever (I have no idea what sort of mix she is):

Her brother is about twice her size. Incredibly huge cat for being only 9 months old. But what do I know.
