Sadly, I'll be away from a computer for most of the day, but I'll do what I can, as usual.

I've been getting in a few overnight votes by taking advantage of the numerous times my cat wakes me up every night. When I get up to let him in or out (don't ask), I stop by the computer where I have the voting page pre-loaded and pre-selected. Just click Vote, reset the page, and back to bed. Making the best of adversity.

How do you get this new thread to the News Headline section on the Home page to tell people who aren't voting that we've moved into 4th place and we need their help to keep moving up as fast as we can?

It looks like our total vote count is slipping back to the hard-core voters.

Unfortunatly it appears the 1000+ may have been due to some "casual" support but our core support seems to have grown by about 100 so it's not all bad. as long as everyone stops by occasionally it will still be shiny!

I make about ten lexx votes a day but was offline most of yesterday so only made about 3, so I too would have to assume that some of your support has dropped off a bit, lets not forget that our votes dropped by 500 so it was not really a strong day for anyone.

At any rate; I've started voting for Lexx now as well (thanks, Fedexx! And thanks whatever Bonanza people suggested this idea!). I'd even be willing to work out a bigger deal with Fedexx; all of us vote Lexx, in return for all of them voting Firefly. I know there's more of us then there are them, but I'm sure they're very nice people who deserve some influx of votes , and we'd be able to pull out of it as soon as they became a threat to Firefly. Anyway, they'd help us beat Bonanza, which is the only threat yet to us .

The only thing I've been able to come up with to explain the sudden massive intake of votes and then immediate drop off is that on the same day that it started a post appeared on whedonesque.com about voting. However, as it was moved to the bottom and eventually off the page by other "News" articles are voting entered a slow decline to normal.

It's going so well!

Our core had definitely increased during the past few weeks.

When I started my stats (beginning October), we averaged high 400s per day.

We've almost doubled it. I think in that sense "Voting Day" has achieved it's goal. But I still would have liked to see Browncoats rising en masse on 1 December. I'm still looking for those Browncoats not regularly on the boards.

Can we not reach them in a different way?

In the meantime....no power in the verse can bump us!

I'd love to do that! I'm waiting for the guys at lexxfans.com to say their opinions, but they are more of the 'quite vote' type. We just know we're voting as much as we can and don't post much, except if there are interesting stats. In any event we love the deal!

Well the first peak is after the Whedonesque mention followed by a drop off (to a higher vote count than before so we have picked up quite a few dedicated clickees from the 'Esque) after the post left the front page. Hooray! I'm euphorious :) Congratulations to bith our shows!
About helping Farscape, can you please wait a couple of months before we pass them? It's a very good show and it also deserves to be in the top several, but I think Lexx should be higher, at least because our show offers many new original stuff, while Farscape was originally designed to be a kind of a blockbuster-tv show.
Btw it's also high time to tell what I think about Firefly and Serenity - what I loved most about Firefly was it's originality! That's the main aspect in which our shows compare, it's not a simple blockbuster with mostly one or two ideas and the rest - just soap-opera scenes and effects. The movie Serenity however looks much better in special effects, music, clothes, fighting (MY GOD, RIVER ROCKS!) and actually all of the signs of the blockbuster. I'm not saying I don't like it, I'd love it, if it I didn't see the show first, but with Firefly's cute originality and less being a main-stream show I think the movie should have been also a little less expensive and therefore more cute, than just the next blockbuster with the same effects and profits.
Well Joss wouldn't probably make that much money if he just continued the tv show, but still the cuteness of the tv show was nowhere to find in the movie.
Sorry for the long post, you probably have discussed it many times over and over and you're sick of this, but I wanted to share my opinion :)

I just have to say, it brings a little tear to my eye to see how enthusiastic everyone has been about this cause since my first little post - which was spurred by someone else's (I'm sorry, I don't remember who you are!) signature.

It is just a wonderful way for us to unite, since there seems to be little we can do right now to move along a sequal, and I just love seeing that even though there are only a few people posting regularly, there are hundreds more voting with strict regularity.
