Adam, I got something I want to say and I want it to be taken as literally as one can possibly take the internet...

...I admire your humanity and selfless character.

By showing up (at hotel) and helping to bring smiles to achy hearts, you sir, are my BDH.

A person, not a star (though you are), caring for others. That, my friend, is you. And for it, I thank you.

I will not be there and I don't personally know a single person going. I'm on the rim looking in. Yet your actions have brought a smile to my face. Thank you.

Yep, Adam showed up at the hotel tonight...a true BDH! It was a fantastic goodwill gesture, and really lifted the spirits of everyone in the midst of NonVention. He spent a long time in the bar, visiting, signing autographs and letting people take pictures with him. He said he and Nathan will be back on Saturday afternoon.

Thank you, Adam! Thank you in advance, Nathan! And thank you California Browncoats for stepping up and scrambling to get something together to salvage the weekend!

What Adam did was so incredibly cool and so incredibly giving of his own time and money I signed up for this website so I could have the opportunity to thank him.

Adam is quiet the good person. I think that if he were an employee down at the factory where I work I would call him friend.

I'm an old browncoat. I remember Adam from the movie "My Bodyguard". That was a good show. Yet in FF/Serenity is where I think he was given the chance to show his talent and skill. They all were.

Thanks for remembering the fans Adam (and Nathan) and the whole crew of Serenity. We hope to keep the boat flying :)

Adam is awesome. I was one of the unfortunate many to have been at the hotel yesterday to find out Flan was cancelled. Unfortunately, my mother and I couldn't afford for me to be there the whole weekend with nothing certain going on and I spent today(much like Thursday) on planes going home. But I did get to meet Adam. He signed my "Damned Flanvention Cancelled" shirt(fellow thursday night lobbyers know what this is) after a few tears were shed. I was sick all week and suffering from a fever and he just made my day. I was going to post a picture of my shirt, but alas my luggage was lost. Perfect ending I say. But enough with my sob stories. I'm so happy something's going to happen there. I met some incredible people while I was there. I love all you guys. If anyone wants to e-mail to say hi and tell me what's all going on there my e-mail is jfrater at charter dot net. I already miss everyone I met last night. I can't say enough about how nice everyone was to me.

that collects cartoons about Firefly/Serenity. And one of the cartoons is 'Notes on a Fridge [on a spaceship]' which is notebook paper notes from the Captain and crew left on Serenity's fridge. OK well.,.. I couldn't attend the (too-pricey) Flanvention in the first place (although I live in L.A.).

Now, all of this is very compelling ...however... I have to be at Th' Office on Saturday from about 7AM to ...ummm... about 8PM.

AND!!!... it'd take me another hour to drive up to Burbank when I finally get to leave. Will any of all'y'all still be at the hotel should I get there to oooxxxooo y'all 'round 9PM or so?

I mean... we're talking effort here, eh? I'd love t'give Nate & Adam (and all My delightful Browncoats) ...well... "The Privilege of the Company of My UnbeLIEVable Charisma." But... it's going to be my 2nd 16-hour ballbuster-day in a row (with another t'follow) and... I simply can't make That Effort if there's nothin' happenin'... (for example) ...if Cappy took back off for Edmonton, or wherever he spends th' night...

Just wanted to say:

1) nothing that hasn't already been said. I actually cried a little, reading here and on whedonesque about these fantastic people, stars and browncoats alike.

2) we ought to brainstorm ways to show our thanks, even those of us who weren't there, for giving us another reason to have faith and love for our heroes, our friends, our fellow browncoats, and complete strangers. (we can flood Nathan with thanks on his myspace, www.myspace.com/nathanfillion)

3) what else did Nathan give away? so far I've only heard a Harry Potter book and a big cardboard box, anyone got some specifics on what else was in it? extra props to him for making sure the people who traveled the furthest got the mementos.

4) to share: gossi over on whedonesque said that Jewel wanted to be there as well, but "a certain company" wouldn't cover her airfare.

I was about 15 feet away from Nathan during the doling-out of goodies... which is to say, too far to hear everything over the roar of the delighted Browncoats in the Daily Grille.

Our BDHs really do rock. It would have been thrilling to read the post of people that were at Flan II, but this is so touching. The stars coming out for the BBB "Cancelled Flan" is amazing. They are the BEST. I've loved them for years, and now I admire and respect the actors that play those great parts even more.

I didn't get to go, and originally I was thinking it was just as well - but after reading all this I am reminded of just what is so great about being a Browncoat: the awesome people you meet and get to hang out with time and time again. Fellow fans AND stars. That's what I love almost more than the show. (Not to mention the button Alan was wearing....)

Well, gang, looks like we rose again.

(However, I do hope none of the BDHs ever pulls a Shatner and tells the lot of us to get a life. )

I love the title length, Anonymous1. The stars keep coming. Too cool. It was wonderful to read Nathan's quote about making memories. To have real life moments with the BDHs. WOW! Thanks for the link to Whedonesque. It was awesome to see Christina's entry, and her description of her 1st date experience at the BBB.

Its my fault

I sent off an email to one of the main bloggers on MSNBC, Will Femia (Clicked), with a short description of what happened this weekend with the Flan convention, along with links to FireFlyFans.net, Weldonesque and some other sites describing the event. So if FFF.net and Weldonesque crash tomorrow or the next day from too much traffic, blame me.

Of course we would get national exposure and many new converts if this happens, it would not such bad thing.

Tim Minnear showed?! I don't think I'm alone in saying I would have paid $250 plus airfare if I'd known it would have been this rocking.

I just wanted to say A VERY BIG THANK YOU! to; our BDH's.....and "the" BDF(big damn fans)who posted pic's and links for the rest of us who could not afford to go.

I can't believe that our BDH came anyway, BUT...I SHOULD KNOW BETTER!!! The reason we love them, is what they just did.......there are not enough words to say how I feel, knowing that the BDH cared and thought enough of US to come and do this on their own. BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!
Somebody posted she was about to cry,...me too! Its unbelievable how nice these people are to us,...but being good Browncoats, we KNEW this already.

Thank you everybody for all the post....and Thank You to our BDH....my love for you is boundless.
