Thanks. It is something that I work on on the weekend. Still need to refine a few things, and hopefully discover why it has some issues with some flavors of Linux, but it does what it needs to do.

The part that bugs me is the "They just do not seem American or Patriotic to me." That is either said out if ignorance, or spite. Then, unfortunately, I realized that I am not a teenager and haven't been for more than half a year. It was an almost out-of-body experience.

As for the unAmerican thing...even the thought that there is a person out there who defines something as American because it revolves around rich, white, landowners existing in a fantasy wild west created by B grade hollywood movies, and an historical denial of genocide, and some sort of warped nostalgia for a patriarchal society obesessed with manifest destiny makes my skin crawl. If thats what "American" is (which I assure you my definition is quite different)then I wouldn't want Firefly associated with it.

One difference is the Bonanzan called "us" unamerican, where as flyvote very specificly called the posting individual uneducated (not dumb; flyvote very kindly infers that all is not lost for the individual in question, and that with some education, might reach different conclusions and/or find some things for him/her-self)

I'm American. I surely hope many of the Firefly supports aren't. Of course, it means something different if you call a Chinese person unamerican. The concept of "global internet" fits in here some where....

My rough calculation is passing Bonanza in 100 days, Passing Xena two weeks after that. Then 3 weeks after that Bonanza regains the #2 position. Rough calculations.

A bit of an awkward request Flyvote lol

Is there anyway to recall Flyvote once you've hidden it?

If there is, is there any chance of putting a visible countdown on it? It's just that sometimes late at night (like now 2:39am) I forget what time I voted so I usually wait for the timer to come round again lol but if there was a visible countdown I'd know exactly how long till the next vote.

I'm quite certain I haven't explained it properly lol just being awkward but if a countdown timer is possible it would be most helpful.

I wonder if they understand that everytime they say something like "silly little scifi show" or "squashed them like a bug" they are just really egging us on. I doubt we'd be getting the numbers we are today if it weren't for all the people (myself included) who just get really, really pissed at statements like that. Oh well...their loss.

Also, BSG pulled in over 500 votes yesterday for the first time and should be in 25th place this time tomorrow. They're movin' fast.

I am absolutely certain about 12 lexxians voting for Firefly and 90% certain about 15 more. Also I post here daily to show you the deal still exists. All sci-fi voting as a block? If that was so, each sci-fi show would get 2000+ votes per day, but only Firefly gets more than 1000+ and these are with the deals the Browncoats made. However there are many western lovers on TVVOTE's google group, who say they vote for all westerns.

By the way, the Scapers refused to vote for Lexx. How can there be a sci-fi block, if those two shows, which are very similar, won't join together?

A friendly bump here for some friendly competition.

In seriousness though, everybody, including Browncoats and Bonanza fans are gonna get riled up defending the show they love, so everyone on both sides just needs to enjoy themselves and vote for the shows they like. No need for either side to get angry.

The best way to silence critics anyway is to prove 'em wrong. So instead of yelling back, show them Firefly isn't silly by voting as much as you can, not mudslinging. And have some fun, too!

Nominations... Combat has suddenly jumped up to nearly 200... no idea if that's a fluke or a trend.

LHotP continues to burn up the lawn with over 200 a day.

Darkshadows is about 7 days from "top 10 nominations".

Mr. Rogers has been running 25-35 lately.

Futurama has picked up a bit, but still in it's normal flux zone.
