If trends continue, Lexx will pass Roswell in a week; and perhaps QaF the same day, or the next. Roswell will then pass QaF about a week, maybe a bit less, after that.

BSG is about 3 months out of top 10, at current rates.

I've continued to keep an eye on the full top 40 just to make sure we don't get any surprises. Lexx needs to keep an eye on Ponderosa; they are no longer gaining on Lexx; but Ponderosa will definitely be taking a top 10 slot; running around 300-350 votes of late.

Buffy is also making a serious run for top10, hitting over 300 per day on a regular basis.

Laramie is pushing hard around the 250 level.

Certainly there's other possible position switching; but the only other "major mover" at the moment is Trapper John, currently 38th. But with it's voting consistently between 270 and 300 will moving at least into top 20 if not actually into top 10 ... but that will be a while.... there's a cluster of shows getting around 170-220 and gaining on them will be slow work.

In short, no surprises in the mirror.

On the nomination list "Little House on the Prairie" is roaring! They are averaging around 250 votes a day. Should break into the Top 40 in a week or so, then pick up votes as it will be easier to vote for it.

Heres an update from the TV tally front:

Firefly is at the top of both the top shows of all time and this week. However, Bonanza has popped up as number three on the weekly, perhaps one of their lurkers has tipped off the other Bonanza voters to this site as well. Won't matter much though. This time they don't get a head start. Firefly is no where to be found on the to episodes list though so I suggest we start splitting our votes between Firefly and Out of Gas.

My goal is to make Firefly dominate every list of the best TV everywhere on the net.

A couple of things I've found out since voting at www.tvtally.com :

You can cast your 3 votes for Firefly and still vote for all the episodes. You are limited to 3 votes for a show each episode once during the 6 hour period. So, you can vote for all the episodes of Firefly once per 6 hours.

Second item: The episode are based on the rankings so say you put an 8 on HOG and a 10 on OIS, OIS wins. So if we vote really low on the shows above firefly, eventually we will get the episodes back up to the top.

That's a bit stronger than I would put it, but I tend to agree.

Frankly, I've looked over the TV tally site, and I'm half tempted to say the best thing to do is ignore it. Voting there is low. The site is new. I see no unique value to the site. Between tv.com and tv_vote, all the bases this site hopes to cover are already covered elsewhere, better.

Enurunner is right; voting other series episodes low is just dirty pool. However, this is exactly the sort of tatic that the site encourages by "ranking" episodes from different shows against each other. As a consequence, I will never take the episode rankings on this site seriously; too much politics.

tv.com does episode ranking correctly; they make no attempt to claim that episode 3 of bonanza is better than episode 2 of little house on the prarie; the episode rankings stand alone. This approach gets -much- more honest appraises of each episode out there.

Given the lack of value and some serious fundamental flaws of tv tally I would recommend we "officially" decide to ignore the site. By participating on it, we are effectively endorsing the site.

My apologies, I never put much stock in the episode voting because it was to easy to mess up others shows. I had a problem with one person voting a 10 on one episode of another show and that it would always be number one where as a person could vote 30 times for an episode of Firefly and if it only had a 9.9 rating it would never become number one. Therefore, the episode voting means nothing to me other than it looks nice to have all Firefly episodes on the main page. I didn't mean to hurt anyones feeling from other shows. A person wouldn't have to vote a 1 on other shows even a 8-9 would even the field and allow Firefly a shot.

sorry but i believe your logic is flawed. in the same way you could say that you could never compare shows from different genres. friends and scrubs hardly tries to achieve the same thing as 24 and prison break, yet your endorse the tv_vote site - ranking shows by completely different genres in a single list - by including it in your signature.

and now i think you are being a bit strong. ignore the site... for what reason? if people keep on voting and more people keep visiting and seeing firefly at #1 it will help spread the word about firefly. there is nothing negative about having your show at #1, and certainly absolutely nothing to lose. someone will never decide to NOT watch a show if it's so high on a top x list. frankly i prefer their structure and design to tv_vote's and their list includes more than 40 shows.

just my two cents. as you can tell i will continue to vote there and i hope others feel the same way and will help spread the word of firefly :)

If they TV tally settled for doing the show voting, I'd just say the site is redundant to TV_vote. It's the episode voting, and the method of the episode voting that I find... useless. There's too strong a motivator to "vote low" on other shows. At a miminum, they should only allow people to rate episodes who have voted positively in the per show rankings.

So, to be clear, I feel tv tally is "merely" redundant with regards to "per show" voting; and "wrong minded" in how it handles episode voting.

Ingore the site because it provides no additional value; and the episode rating methoded is wrong minded, in my humble opinion.

Obviously, this could be a case where people can feel legitimately differently. I just know I don't have time to track down (or even if provided to me to then vote in) every blessed poll thing someone decides to plop on the internet. If you feel tv tally has value, by all means, vote there.
