Having just recently discovered Firefly and Serenity and become totally obsessed - I just want to say "Thank you" to all of you Browncoats who have been here since the series ended and working so hard to keep Firefly flying - at least here - and for pushing to get the BDM made.

Hoping I and the rest of us latecomer newbies can become more involved!

You don't have to be all naked , just articulate ! If you want to be ' more involved ' , just work on doing more
' recruitment ' of new Browncoats . Might not be a fast process , but nothing truly worthwhile ever is...

I must add my gratitude to those who "held the line" from the time Firefly was so callously cancelled. I am a recent recruit; Aug. 2006, actually. Finding the show...in all it's glory.. after seeing Serenity on HBO... somehow brought hope that the vast wasteland of mean-spirited reality shows, incessant remakes and 'spin offs' of marginal programming occasionally resulted in the marvelous gem of a show that Firefly is. I 'lurked' this site for many weeks; ashamed that I missed the show originally and have been so fortunate to be welcomed into the FFF fold. I thank you, thank you, thank you for your persistence, generosity and open arms.

I know that I've had lapses in faith these last 4 years, but then I always come to one of the sites and see that there is ALWAYS a new Browncoat (or 2 or 3...) signing on. And that reminds me that we have something very special here.

You've got nothing to be ashamed of , Sister !
The only shame is the other new Browncoats that we've yet to recruit . We're still fightin' on that front !

As for ' lurking ' , I have to admit that I lurked this site for more than a couple years before I took the plunge and joined
here .
But I had been on a couple of other boards while Firefly was still new , and I feel proud to have sent a postcard to Fox prior to the cancellation .

The thanks belong to you , Sister , for bein' here , 'cause all your elder Browncoats love meetin' new people . Y'all have such interestin' stories ! Seein' all the new folk comin' aboard helps us hold the line and keep hope alive...

I am going to third what Moose said. Being a Browncoat is not easy, its fun but not easy. There's a lot of pain and heartache and things just never go smooth for us. But you newbies make it all worth while.

I am in constant awe at the effort to keep the universe alive.

Those responsible for the site and the cause itself should be proud.

Ive had a vision...

In July this year Universal approach Joss and tell him they want him to bring Firefly back. Joss says "hell yes, let me finish what I'm doing and get the cast back together."

We have Firefly by 2009.

And this site goes onto serve its true destiny... hosting discussion about current and future episodes of the greatest scifi ever

I would like to thank them also. If not for you all, we never would have gotten this great community, not to mention the BDM. And, if not for that, I never would have gotten into Firefly to begin with. I saw it on HBO with my brother one evening and went out the next day to buy the box set.

So, thanks...There'd probably be a thumbs up or something at this point.

I want to also Thanks all the Browncoats who have been there since the begining. I am doing my part by puchasing many copies of the DVDs & Serentiy movie. And sharing the Firefly love with everyone I know.

I know the journey had its up & downs.....and I sincerly Thank you all. Life as you know can be stressful to say the least and it is so nice to find another place (the verse) to espace to.

Browncoasts are growing. I am sure we will see another Serenity movie in the furture.

Hope to meet some of you in Seattle or at Dragon Con.

While were on the topic of thanking - and since me in my excitement about firefly forgot.

Thank you to all you guys that have been here from the begging - without you Serenity would not have been born.

And I would also like to thank all the new firefly fans that have joined - the more swollen our ranks become the more scared fox execs become - maybe one day they will fear our might so much that they will feel forced to bring back firefly.

And i would also like to thank Joss, and all of the cast members who spent their time thanking the fans and enduring the endless streams of our fan mail and questions.

I don't hang out here as much as I used to. Lately I've been spending most of my time over at the Multiverse forums.

For those of you who havn't heard, Multiverse has secured the rights to produce the first Firefly online game. So I've been caught up in the effort to make sure the game won't suck. We could use more real browncoats over there. Most of the posters are more MMO fans than people who really 'get' Firefly.
