Eventually putting Firefly in first place is one thing, but stealing the first entry into the hall of fame is completely different. All that rich guy talks about is how the Xenites found his little site and took the voting to a new level. We've got to show the Firefly far outstrips any Kevin Sorbo spinoff. VOTE BROWNCOATS!!! Wow I was gonna say soemthing similar but I think you summed it up. I have been voitng myself between 10 and 11 times a day based upon when i am at a comp....This is the storngest fan base I know and I know we can do this! Keep up the voting!

BsG is about 2 months from breaking into the top 10, and I believe will be the next show to break into the top 10. It will be displacing QaF.

Not much news on the nomination front; Highway to Heaven is the only show getting enough votes to make a credible run on the top 10; and even then will take a long time to get there. Of course, all the "combat" voters will be "freeing up", so who knows what they might start voting for.

Mr Rogers has snuck up into 64th place in the nomination poll.

What does this do? Raise awareness. I know that personally I've bought DVD's of two series based on what I've seen on the polls, Roswell and BsG. How many folks see this and go "what is this Firefly; wonder if it is worth watching?" Hard to say; I'll guess many. We know lots of folks in the Bonanza forums ask at least the first question ;-)

So... it raises awareness; may drive some DVD sales; it is -possible- Hollywood folks look at this, but I would not bank on it. Consider it part of the "guerilla marketting" technique.

Besides, it's fun trying to drive our show up the poll!

Why vote? Because at the very least it's an advertisement for the show! I caused a browncoat to give money for Lexx DVD (How do you like it by the way?), I've already watched Firefly, but who knows how many other voters have ordered a DVD of Firefly for them to see what all this is about :)
All I wanna do is vote and bump...

By the way I like Kevin Sorbo and Lucy Lawless, but I'm not sure if I like Xena enough to stand her being on the first place.
And I wonder, who the hell watches Combat!? What's this?!? Two types of movies I can't stand - westerns and military movies!! How did those get nominated? How can there be people watching them?! Everybody has the right of a bad taste, I suppose, but still this is outrageous.

By the way I know why we get less votes in the weekend and the westerns don't - the voters there are old and retired and for them every day is a weekend, so there's no difference...
I just hope I don't insult somebody too much to make him vote more for any western or military movie

Let's just hope we have another strong weekday vote like last week, where we made some good ground on Xena.

We made up 794 votes from 2/6 to 2/9 and lost 26 votes on the weekend which isn't bad to be honest but I think we all know we can beat them on the weekends too, so next weekend Browncoats let's make sure we lose no votes at all, we really can't afford to. We should be beating Xena by the same margin on the weekend (200-300)

FF continues to have the best average per month; be nice to push a bit harder to catch Xena sooner; but it is progress. And continuing to make great progress against the #2 show.

Tomorrow or the next day, Mr Rogers should hit the "top 100 overall", which means position 60 on the nomination list.
