Personally, I think it's so much more Kaylee-ish the way she actually says it:

Many of my favourite quotes are from Wash. There are just sooooo many.

My favourite quotes would have to be the following:

1. From The Pilot (Serenity) Wash [playing with the dinosaurs] - "and we shall call this land.... this land."

2. From Heart of Gold:
Zoe - "No one is forcing to go Jayne"
Jayne - "Good! Don't know these folks, don't much care to"
Mal - "They're whores"
Jayne - "I'm in!"

Kaylee - "Look, they got boy whores! Isn't that thoughtful. I wonder if they service girl folk at all?"

Wash and Kaylee are talking together -
Kaylee (sighing) - "Everybody got sombody. Wash tell me I'm pretty"
Wash - "Were I unwed, I would take you in a manly fashion."
Kaylee - "Because I'm pretty?"
Wash - "Because you're pretty."

3. From The Message - with Wash entering the Freak Show Booth " Oh my god it's grotesque! Oh and there's something in a jar! [Talks to the jar with the freaky thing in it]...."Do not fear me ours is a peacefull race and we must live in harmony!"

AND there is also the part where Jayne asks everyone why they "ordered a dead guy for?"

4. In Serenity the movie, the part where the main baffle pannel falls off and -
Mal asks Wash - "What was that!?"
Wash - "Did you see that?"
Mal - "Was that the primary buffer pannel?"
Wash - "It did seem to resemble it!"
Mal - "Did the primary buffer pannel just fall off my god ramn ship for no apparent reason?"
Wash - "Looks like"
Mal then curses about Kaylee and Wash uses some techno babble concluding that the "landing could get interesting"
Mal - "Define interesting"
Wash - "Oh God! Oh God! We're all gonna die!"
Mal (on the intercom) - "This is the Captain, we have a little problem with our entry sequence so we may experience some slight turbulence and then explode!"
Mal then has another exchange with Wash then tramps off to yell at Kaylee. On the way he meets up with Jayne and Zoe
Jayne - "We're gonna explode? I don't wanna explode!"
They exchange a few other words then Zoe appears,
Zoe - "Are we crashing again?"
Mal - "Go talk to your husband!"

5. At the end of the Serenity the Movie (while I'm still a blubbering mess from Wash dying) I can manage a smile at the following:
Serenity takes off from the planet, the music picks up the pace, they make it through the storm, you see something fall off and
Mal - "What was that!?" .... as we realise that once again the primary baffle plate has fallen off!

Thanks for the welcome, Don. Made me feel right at home. To reply to your question regarding how I found firefly ....

I watched the series from the very beginning & just LOVED it! I thought it was so creative & smart. I couldn't believe it when they cancelled it. I, however, was not online at the time & I didn't watch all that much TV back then. I had NO idea there were such devoted fans as this out there. I was very excited about the movie when I saw the trailer. Unfortunately I live in a very small town & our little movie theatre didn't get it, so I had to drive almost 40 miles to another larger town to see it. I am proud to say I did this twice!:D I have since bought both the movie & the series on DVD. I've been re - enjoying it all. I just recently got the internet (I seem to always be late to the party!) & typed in Firefly, totally not expecting a whole lot & WOW, I was amazed! I'm so glad to see there are still fans out here like this where you can go & celebrate this wonderful show! Anyhow, thats my story & thanks for askin'.

So you're one of us lucky (?) folks who saw the series on The-Network-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named, eh? What a cluster that was. I actually lost track of it due to all the preemptions, and missed some of the first runs. In fact I thought it was cancelled before it was, so I got disappointed, thrilled, and then crushed again. Grrr! Arrgh!

Since you didn't make a "hello" post over in General Discussions, it seems our supply officer FollowMal hasn't found you to issue you your virtual browncoat. So let me dig through my recycled and (mostly) refurbished stash... hmm, this could work if you don't mind a couple stains I couldn't quite brush out.

I'm relatively new to firefly my art teacher got me hooked on it end of the fall semester and I love it with a passion wish I had seen it before loved serenity but I'm afraid my cravings ain't satisfied not to whine but I WANT MORE anyway heres some of my favorite quotes

I've been hooked on firefly for a few months now, and I don't see it ending anytime s... ehr... ever ?! The story-telling, acting, camera work and music (I've been listening through the original scores from both Firefly and Serenity at least twice a day ever since I got my hands on 'em) just blew me away. Picking out my favorite quote(s) was quite the painful process given how A—M—A—Z—I—N—G the dialogues are... In the end, I decided to leave out the rib-crackers since a lot of them have been mentionned already. I did include a few from the outakes though

River: "Bible's broken. Contradictions, faulty logistics--it doesn't make sense..."

I can't remember where I heard it but...the school had a public address system that would automatically play music periodically to discourage loitering. They had a hard time turning it off. During the take when it came on, Nathan started dancing. The sound probably cuts out because they didn't have rights to the music.

I just love the Jayne dynamic. In Shindig, our BDH are looking at the "pretties" and Zoe comments that the pink dress had too much frou-froua.

Zoe: If I gotta wear a dress, I'd want something with some slink.

anyway, I just wanted to mention a funny quote (which a lot of people have said already...then again, witness me not caring) anyway, here it is:
