Nice step up from the old one--sort of toying with the idea of taking up serious photography, so I thought I'd better take a step up.

Oh, Roxy, you even blush sexy....oy!

Morning, LA29! Cam-companions, indeed....it's nice to have a place to indulge our obsession, isn't it?

FlatTop, good to finally see you in here. I notice a Serenity calendar also over your left shoulder in the second pic, or am I mistaken?

Again, nothing really new from me. Perhaps a little....Zorro to start the day?

Roxy, props for actually taking a wonderful picture of yourself blushing. I figured that'd be a hard one to pull off.

So...uh...I figure everyone else knows this but...Tristan, do you run a friggin' costume shop or something or do you just leave in a land of perpetual Halloween?

This is me pondering Tristan's occupation:

Roxy, if there is lots of saving to be done, I got you covered!

If Zorro is not enough:

I have back-up!
We have the rampaging monk for those pesky spritual problems:

The Galloglass for the more troublesome issues...besides, the kilt allows for better movement

And for a higher class of problem, we have:

Landsknecht to deal with the more colorful problems:

See, always approach things with a Cavalier attitude, and everything will work out.

And if all else fails, we can track down the problems and deal with them in less-subtle ways...

I hope that brought a smile to your face, Roxy.

And now, having flooded the board, I will disappear for awhile.

You want hair like mine, that is lighter and finer than most children's hair, that stands up at the barest static, frizzes permanently at the barest damage until it grows out, refuses to get longer than mid-back, sticks out at odd angles, and can't look properly seductive to save its life because it's too thin and fine?

I am now confused... Gladiator, what's with the choice of teams?? Should you be sporting foam fingers for Chelsea or Sheffield or even ( gasp) Manchester?

Chelsea?? Boo! I'm a Tottenham man, myself! Well, the fingers are momentos from SuperBash III - 2005 (the NFL's official UK SuperBowl party). And for those that care, the NFL team I follow would be Houston.

My husband's a fan also. He has a great bumper sticker about Cuthulu for president ( why settle for the lesser of two evils) also we own a lovely pure black cat named Lovecraft and from birth we trained him to come to the word Cuthulu ( not sure I am spelling this right)

Wow guys (and ladies, I wouldn't dare leave out the ladies), you've really been at work since I wandered out last night. Great to see some new faces (new to me, at least)!

And speaking of last night...

This is a dramatization of my terror when the loudest crash woke me up at about 4 this morning. Window's open to let the breeze in, so I hear everything that's going on in that parking lot. Of all things, the garbage truck was making it's rounds. At 4 AM! Are they allowed to cause a ruckus that early in the morning?

As you can guess, I was not a happy camper...

Hello Kinetic! Lovely shots of you and your lovely family!
Orpheus, I laughed sooooo hard at the look on your face! No, I don't think they should be allowed to be out that time of day, but they often are anyway. Maybe you should complain to the city.

Hello all you totally gorgeous wonderful people - I adore those pics kinetic - your wife is gorgeous and Tristan would have loved to join you for a pint at the factory - and your boys are adorable - you seem to have named them well too!! I love your expression in the Christmas photo!!

Bryce - you are looking wonderful in those pics and I love your quiddich T-shirt - I will have to save up for one after my trip to the US... I am counting down the days til I get to read the new book - it is paid for and I am threatening to dress up when I go to the shop to collect it - 9am our time - we live in the best time zone!!

Roxy, totally hot and totally adorable as usual!! Rose!! You could never fool me sweetheart!! Overobsessed, truley beautiful and such an eye for the artistic touches too!!

Heh... sorry for anyone I missed - I am babysitting and using the internet at a different house and keeping one ear open for little people wandering... and parents ariving home - they are happy for me to use the internet - but I need to be ready to quickly pack up when they return...

Still nothing new but...

more of my family - both my sisters and I celebrating Mum's 70th in 2005 with my 5 neices and nephews all together at once!!

Yeah, they eventually drove off, but still. Usually I'm already up and around before they show up. I'm just torn between my love of quiet and my desire to sleep with the window open...

And PR I probably could complain, if not to the city than to the school. But the chancellor (or really anyone in charge) is notorious for not actually listening to the student body. Oh well.

He is the only reason I watched that movie, initially, as I despise Ben Stiller. I told him so at DragonCon (after a quart of Jack).

Hmmm... then maybe you should construct an elaborate contraption that is activated by the alarm clock and ends up with a bucket of water being poured over your head. Don't forget to include crazy loops and balloons and toys in your contraption, because otherwise it's just no fun.

Ok, so here's how it'll work...

I'll set my cell phone and alarm clock to go off at the same time. The phone will be strung up to an old, beat up copy of Stephen King's Insomnia, which is held above my head by a poorly constructed pulley. When the cell phone goes off, it'll vibrate and ring and all that fun stuff, and the vibration will send it off the side of my nightstand, which will cause the book to hit the pulley and break it, sending the book crashing down on my head, either waking me up and scaring the hell out of me, or knocking me into a deeper state of unconsciousness. It's a heavy book, it could go either way.

The phone, still vibrating on the ground will knock over a set of dominoes carefully placed on the floor. The dominoes will run their course, and depending on whether I'm awake at that point or not, I'll have something really neat to wake up to.

And that's how we get around the garbage truck wreaking havoc at 4 AM.

Orpheus: If you can find a way for your contraption to light a bunch of firecrackers to make sure you're awake, we might be on to something here.

I think a good idea would be to set off enough loud noises to actually wake my roommates up and have them wake me up themselves.

Oh you have roommates!? In that case, put the alarm clock under their pillow before they go to sleep and they'll wake you up in a fit of rage each morning. Much easier than that contraption thingy... might make you a bit less popular, but who cares? You'll still have Firefly and FFF.net, that's all you need.

I've tried ear plugs, but found out real quick that I'd always sleep through my alarm clock.

I used to have a fan on all the time. The constant hum would drown out all unwanted noise, save the alarm clock. Then the apartment building across the courtyard burned down and I didn't hear the 4 fire engines, 8 police cars, 2 ambulances and 50 people that were literally right outside my window. The only thing that woke me up was the flashing lights. So I decided I could suffer a few odd noises at inconventient hours of the night / morning, as long as it meant I would be woken up before I burned to death.
