We have finally arrived as a fandom.

Dark Horse Comics announced the official Serenity lunchbox with the Fruity Oaty Bar ad on the front, Serenity logo on the back, and currency bordering it.

On sale September 16, 2007
8" x 7" x 3 3/4" (approx. 20.3cm x 17.8cm x 9.5cm)

In addition to the 宁静 Ning2jing4 (Serenity) of the logo, there will be the Chinese words from the Fruity Oaty Bar commercial. They are the flavors 香蕉 xiang1jiao1 (banana), 金橘 jin1ju2 (kumquat), and 鳳梨 feng4li2 (pineapple). The animated strawberry [草莓 cao3mei2] in the commercial was misleading advertising and drove River crazy.

Definitely a must have! Forget about using it to carry lunch. It'll be a great marketing tool...people will just have to ask about it. It must be big enough to keep an extra DVD set to loan out to those interested folk, right?

I ain't exactly worried about the reactions of other browncoats to my owning the lunchbox, but more other people who either have refused my urgings to watch the series and those who i have not had chance to annoy senseless with ramblings of "fireflys like the best tv show ever". People of that type may beat me with sticks and alike, thats what im scared of.
