One unpredictable variable is the fandoms of some of the slow movers getting alerted to the current voting patterns, and decide to intervene.

Well things have definitely calmed down. The numbers of all the shows seem be leveling off. We've been consistently between 13 and 14 hundred, Xena just over 1000, BSG over 600. Progress will be slow, but at least at this rate we win eventually. Still, it'd be nice to be over 1500 steadily.

I've been typing and re-typing the past few days on the subject of voting, and how it's been done. I always said most of you all were good people, and no worries about the idiot troll with his lame as comment, if he thinks he just offends lesbians then he is forgetting the majority of straight men enjoy pleasing their mates orally too, so he isn't just insulting lesbians, he is insulting straight men too. I also didn't mind the throw downs, it does make for a challenge.

Xenites are proud of our voting and how well we have done. You know we Xenites got to where we did without forming an alliance with any other show. Even if we eventually lose our place as the number one show we can at least realize that Xenites got XWP to the #1 spot with just Xenites. So you were all right not to vote for XWP if you didn't like it. No one should vote for a show they didn't watch or like. It's nice knowing XWP earned it's spot with only Xenites, that is special to me.

Good luck, and sorry for going off on you, 99% of you didn't deserve it.

Thanks Lead, I am a big fan of Firefly too, I just had to go and cool down, and think about some stuff. I'm an Aries after all and one of our strenghts is also our weakness, shoot first and ask questions later *G* but unlike some who make mistakes I will own up to mine. Whoever sent that e-mail to wacky was intentially trying to start crap, and it might not have been a Xenite or a Browncoat, it could have been someone else from another fandom. I'd say they've got their eye on us already and they are capable of putting the foot down at any time. But we showed we have the numbers to stick with them, even on LL's birthday they couldn't blow us away.

I reckon we'll step it up when we get within 20K of Xena. At that pont, I'd expect FF to be pulling in 2-3K/day and more as we get closer. Sure the Xenites will step up as well, but we can outdo them 'cause we are so many.

I voted twice today; unfortunately I got into the voting booth after a Xena fan. I noticed she had her sleeves rolled up- not a good sign. I was disgusted to find the lever all gooey and sticky. BE CAREFUL PEOPLE!!! the Xena crowd has time to vote all weekend, no pride parades/biker rallies going on, so lets get out and vote!

Lessons learned:
You can cut too much off a plank

Battery drills go flat at the worst possible moment
Don't use a pencil to clean out recently drilled holes in brickwork - they snap
Never ask 16yo daughter to check shelf with spirit level - the concept of bubbles and fluid is difficult to explain when holding bracket, shelf, screws & drill while balancing on kitchen chair. Its quicker to grow an extra arm
When stepping back to admire handywork try not to step on socket set - on a concrete floor they act like little rollers

Highway to Heaven continues to be the only strong contender to make top40.
Dark Shadows has a shot, but will have to maintain it's current vote record for a -very- long time and hope that some current top40 stays below 100/day.
Mr. Rogers' has slacked off a bit; that's in part my fault. I'm currently casting half my votes to Highway to Heaven (as it is a show I like), and the H2H "rally guy" has indicated once H2H has made top40 he'll see if he can get some votes "back" amoungst the "inclined" after H2H makes the top 40. If I get the "votes back" fine; if not... well, as I said, I do like H2H as well.

Looks like the "western block" has split between Maverick, The Virginian, and "Have Gun, Will Travel". Between the 3, they have enough votes to make a run to the top40... if they get behind the same show and persist for a year.
