Hmm. So apparently the whole site's broken. Great. As if my life isn't lonely enough.
*edit* Ok, so the entire site except the linear thread. But at this point, no one's talking, so what's the point?
May you have enough.

My clothes were'nt made in sweatshops. I at least have some standards. I only wear pseudo-brand names made with Chinese prison labor. Nothing but the best for me. It's like my canned tuna (caviar of the lower classes) ~ if it's not at least 19 percent dolphin I won't touch it.
I should begin a revolt. Citizen is British and he'll inevitably install a monarch once his side wins. Boston Keg-Party, my place, be there or be square. our side wins and I promise everyone a gas-guzzler in every garage, a chicken in every pot, and a capitalist sweatshop on every corner.

PS ~ this is my final post in the "floors". Said I wouldn't post here anymore and I'll honor my word. Said what I had to say. Plus I'm sure Seryn won't relent till she gets me sitebanned (Deja Vu all over again).

Random Transformer Trivia:
"Gravitas" was the name of one of the Council of Ancients, the former rulers of Cybertron before the war. He (with the rest of the Council) was killed by Starscream shortly after Optronix was given the Matrix of Leadership (and became Optimus Prime), over five million years ago.

Huh. Let's see, "gravitas" (from Wikipedia, natch). "Dignity, seriousness and duty".
Oh dear. I think it's obvious that the first two haven't had any effect on this thread. So, that leaves "duty". Duty. To this particular clique? To the tv show Firefly?

I imagine you goosestepping around in a bathrobe wearing knee-high riding boots, and carrying a leather horsewhip (riding crop) tucked under one arm. I imagine you doing this for 22 hour intervals, 7 days a week, wired out of your melon on psychosis-generating levels of Starbucks coffee. I imagine you with 2 hounds, dobermans named "Hans" und "Franz", at whom you yell nonstop the same two phrases... "Mach schnell!" and "Achtung".
Please. Do me a favor. Don't go start being nice to me... you'll spoil the illusion.

Stuart are you reading this? Theres another man fantasizing about me in knee high boots and weilding a horsewhip? And apparently he's doing it 7 days a week for 22 hour 'intervals'.
I don't know if i want you to beat him up or admit him for doctoring.
Well, sadly for your fantasies my dear, I do have a bathrobe, and knee high boots, but nothing would induce me to wear them together. and the closest i've ever come to a horsewhip was the small blue plastic one one of my little brothers toy cowboys wielded - usually against a herd of bewildered plastic Ewoks.
And the only dogs in my life are called Molly and Kara, and mostly sleep and drool.
Oh and i don't drink caffine and even if i were to go crazy it still wouldn't involve German.
As for threatening to ask to get you banned....
i'm not going to give you the satisfaction.

Silly me I posted this to the wrong thread:
Scene: Day. Police car parked under a highway overpass inside are a sherrif (John) and a rookie deputy (Rich)
Rich: Sure is dull out here waiting for cars to go by so we can ticket them for speeding.
John: Could be worse.
Rich: How?
John: We could have to watch re-runs of "Who's the Boss."
Rich: True that. (long silence) So did you catch the game last night?
John: No.
Rich: Probably for the best it wasn't that great. (another long awkward silence) Have you picked up a card for mothers day yet?
John: (Flatly) Mother's dead. (even more awkward silence till a van goes rocketing by) Well did you see that? Time to get to work. (the sherrif takes off in pursuit lights and siren blaring.) Phone in the description to dispatch deputy.
Rich: (using radio) In pursuit of a light blue chrysler van with out of state plates number oner seven X-ray george niner niner. Travelling eastbound on highway 1. Vehicle has bumper sticker "Proud father of Indiana University honor student"
(The van driver finally notices the police car and pulls over)
John: Okay, Rich lets take this nice and easy. We walk up and ask for licence and registration, write the ticket, and get back to the overpass. Some nice easy police type work to break up the day. (The sherrif and deputy walk over to the van. The driver of the van rolls down his window)
Driver: Is there a problem officer?
John: You do know you were speeding there don't you?
Driver: Well who doesn't speed?
John: Sure. What's your name hoosier daddy?
Driver: Rich Barton.
Rich: Hey, he's Rich. Just like me.

Sort of inbetween. I should have the valuation reports Monday, then it's just a matter of saying go to everyone and hoping the mortgage goes through.
Things should be a bit easier though, I'm getting a 95% mortgage instead of 100%, because my uncle has promised a loan of the deposit. He's feeling flush because he bought some land recently for £8000. In related news the valuation puts it at £32,000.

I was expecting a gay love scene after the 4th or 5th line of dialogue in that bit of screenplay. Or some action... chainsaw-wielding psycopath leaping out of the bushes, really bad info-mercial dude chiming in with an Erectile-Dysfunction drug advertisement (or Ginsu knives for on-the-spot vascectomys ops), etc.
If you have a day job, do yourself a favor and don't quit it.

oh, dear dear Xero, you shouldn't have asked for it, you really shouldn't cause now its exactly what i'm not going to give you.
Instead i'll be all amused and condecending (in the Edwardien sense)I'll giggle at your antics and applaud, and go on about how amusing and silly you are, and call you cutie and tell every one how lovable you are, cause under that big gruff hairy troll exterior all you want is a bit of attention and affection.
aw, poor Xero, well, i'll be as frendly as you like. or don't like.
dog people go up in your estimation? Is that cause they're all big dogs as opposed to barking rats? or do all dogs pass the test? how about how about if i told you i also have a cat and share the household with a ferret, two goldfish, a budgie and a few probably sentient pot plants?
and how does being "a Seryn" send me down? Seryns are wonderful creatures, but the most wonderful thing about Seryns is i'm the only one. down up? up down? its like being on a see saw.
ah well, no matter how much you like or dislike me, yo'll never escape the cheek pinches and *big hugs*
aww, hoo's a cutie pie? who's a wittle cutie pie? thats right, Xero's a wittle cutie pie, go on, run, pway wiv your wittle fwends, oh look at how cute and hairy they are playing under that bridge.. where's my camera? Xero's first play date, how sweet!
tootles for now you cute wittle trollywoll.

and the pot plants comment too...
Nah, the reason i think they may be sentient is that they haven't died - i manage to kill plants inside of a year most of the time, just by watering and feeding them regularly and really careing about their condition.
They die, they all die.
(which is why i never seriously considered drugs farming as a career, i did think about a meth kitchen, but figured there were enough seriously ugly people in the world already with out my contribution)
but yes anyway, these ones just wont die, which makes me think that they're sentient enough at least to go out roaming the streets a night sucking the blood of the drunk and unwary.
ah well, thats cacti for you.
Oh, Serenity, Mai - time for some gratuitous letching, not sure if you get this ad over there, so this is me doing a pblic service methinks.

Ya know. Your lil boob-talk routine was expected Seryn. Seriously, I expected you to play down and be borderline kind to me while still being condescending.
Some ppl turn playing both sides of a bonafide opinion into an artform. I hate you. I hate you because you hate me. But now you pretend you have no hate in your heart and I'm just simply a troll.
This is like really bad soap opera that plays out the same ole' same ole' "played-out" story line over and over and over again. Thank the powers that be that there is marketable turnover of dimwitted, shallow people to support such nonsense. Please.. can you babytalk me some more?
Pity.. all the people necessary to truly bring back Firefly are busy with trivial crap these days.. what's your favorite song? what's the best pseudo-plot for a nonexistant return of the show we can generate in fan-fiction? what kind of crap can we call each other in trivial threads that amount to nothing at the end of the day?
Answer to the last question where I'm concerned : troll.
I'm a troll.
In spite of being a troll I think I'm the last hardcore fanatic who has one singular aim.. the return of the show.
If FFF.net has turned into a social-chitchat place then perhaps I'm just holding on to a pipedream. Someone plz call me a troll one more time? I haven't heard it enough.

oh zero you're still not getting it. I don't hate you, I can't be bothered raising the effort it takes to hate you. I'm as concious of you as the slugs that keep eating my grandmothers flowers, they're an irritant, and i'd rather they werent there, but in the grand sceme of things they mean absolutley nothing. Which is why i always thought the name you chose was so fitting.
as for being nice, i'm really not, simply that again, its to much effort being nasty to you. i mean you didn't even feature in the calls to ask to get you thrown off the site, tat was directed at the others, you know, the sane, socially acceptable people who deserve to be here.
and as for your lamenting the purpose of the site, its called firefly fans dot net, a place for fans of firefly to socialise.
the nets a big placethough, i'm sure somewhere theres a place you 'last hardcore fanatic' (s) can go and discuss your demented plans and knaw on your own limbs in frustration. you know, takes all sorts.
i'm bored now.
Mai, his name is Justin Lewis or something - not sure what he's done, i'd imdb, but i've just had a text from a friend and i'm going to go play in the park! wheeeee!(followed i should imagine by a prolonged visit to a pub beer garden...)
if i'm sober enough when i get back i'll look him up, if you haven't already. see you soon!

Oh Seryn, that was loooooovely! Thank you for sharing.
Only, now I'm desperately craving aero bubbles and I don't think I can get them over here.
*sigh*
Don't feel bad about killing plants. My grands are major plant killers. They usually overwater things to death. Nothing green lives more than 3 months once it enters our house.
I, on the other hand, keep ignoring the plants that have been intrusted to my care and, not only are they thriving, but the peace lilly has 2 blooms on it, the damned poinsettia from Christmas is growing new green leaves AND still has all it's red ones and the african violet keeps persisting on being annoyingly verdant. Grr.
I was given a dahlia yesterday in a mortifying "Staff Appreciation" reception (along with a gift certificate to a restaurant I would never set foot in) and I asked my grandmother if she wanted to put it in the garden, because I figure that way it's got. A 50% chance of survival, and I can't be blamed if it dies. The dahlia is very pretty, with these multi-coloured blossoms, but I don't want yet something else to feel guilted into taking care of.

oh i wish i had annoyingly verdant plants, othere than the blood sucking cacti, i had a jasmine i loved, and an aloe vera plant, both went the way of the dodo.
ah well.
Disaster! i settled on going to this costume party as a Ghostbuster, and i've just bought/ordered everything to make it up, including sending off for a flight suit from colorado, and the bleeding proton pack that sparked the idea off in the first place is not available! gargh!
now my only option is to either fork out more money than i have to get the full costume with the pack in, or to try and kack handedly Blue Peter something together out of cardboard washing up liqid bottles and sticky back plastic.
which is exactly why i didn't go for a bender costume cause i couldn't be bothered with the glueing and painting.
Sigh.
thought thinking about it, a hodgepodge home made affair would be highly amusing and i wouldn't care so much if it got broken... may have to have a go!
and i have to send you a choccy package soon, so shally i makes it jaffa cakes wagon wheels and aero bubbles?

Seryn:
Of course you think about me. You can't NOT think about me when posting here.
Whether you choose to admit it you love to argue with me. I love to argue to, just not about the crap I seem to find myself arguing about.
BTW - My name(s) are neither Justin or Lewis... in fact I've never given any personally identifying facts about my RL identity in these forums... given how disgustingly vile and sadistic people here can be I would never give away any detail of my personal life that anyone could use to stalk me. But that's just "Mai" prodding.
Mai who pretends to not remember me. Funny, I remember Mai. I admit I haven't gone back and re-read all my old posts and threads I've involved myself in but some names stick out as old and quite prominent in the posts. I've forgotten so much since I last posted in any meaningful way that I'm likely to do or say something that will make me a liar. I don't lie.. ever. Too much honesty is my downfall. Like I said.. sadistic people out there with memories like a steel trap, just waiting to pounce. Mai is one of them (I remember mixing it up with Mai and somehow I have negative vibes coming from it - don't remember the specifics).
I think you and I have minced words before Mai.
Neither here nor there.
Seryn you love to argue with me admit it. OR switch to the next floor. We're overdue for that these days anyhow.

XG - "going away"
-ps... shame you are all turned off about my plans to bring back the show. Never had much chance to 'splain what it was but here goes Act one... It starts out with a keg-party, a hairy-backed homeless guy dressed like Tarzan, strippers dancing in go-go cages, midgets in clown suits biting people, etc. (all the usual fun stuff that is still "legally" allowable in this day and age). That's how the plan started, beyond that I hadn't really laid out much else in terms of the "plan". Helluva start though.
