Hey, we're entering the HOF. That in itself is cool. They had a huge headstart, and we still managed to keep our average above theirs. So it's all good.
Well, with one whole day of data, their votes are down; but not catastrophically so. They may take a break for a while, let us close up the gap a bit; but I'm sure the ol' competitive urge will hit 'em when we threaten to pass. That's when we find out who's got THE fanbase - Long haul, keeping the numbers up. Y'know, fanatical fans.
This part isn't really directly in reply, but...
Sure, they can beat us in a sprint (very dangerous over short distances; dwarves are natural sprinters (ehem. Sorry, wrong fandom )), but look at the overall average votes that I post daily. Day in, day out since last October we've averaged 1,002 votes per day. Xena 842. So despite getting our collective teeth kicked in a few times here & there, we're still winning overall (in the last 7 months). If you reach back far enough, obviously Xena has a higher overall average (or they wouldn't be in 1st place), but since we first got organized... It's Firefly all the way.
Find the column for "Piano", and under that find "bob". Click a vote for "bob". That isn't me, but it is a family member and Firefly fan.
Many Thanks!

Yes Firefly has a great fandom, but I had to post and correct a couple of things. First off you are not doing it with just Firefly fans, you have got alliances with fans from other shows that all only voting for your show so you vote for theirs. From what I have read you still are looking for more alliances. We Xenites did it alone. So it's not Firefly all the way. Don't forget to give kudos to the Sci Fi block for helping Firefly fans make it into the HoF second. Even some Xenites helped you out because we loved Firefly too!

Unless you were monitoring the vote, there is no way you could know who voted for Firefly and who didn't. You can only infer from the posts here and elsewhere that there was the intention to form an alliance. You can't prove that it actually came to fruition. All the shows, including Xena, probably received quite a few votes from other fandoms that had people who simply enjoyed that show, in addition to their favorite. So this notion that Xena did it alone and we didn't is hogwash. Besides, the alliance thing was a fairly recent developement. Only one thing kept us from getting to the HOF first: Apathy. Go back under your Xena rock and stop pretending to be a Firefly fan.
The above is my opinion, and my opinion only. So don't go raising a fuss about "what those Firefly fans are saying". Its just me.

I reckon we've bumped into the Hall of Fame. Looking forward to tomorrow's banner.
No way will the Xenites go quietly into the night. It will take everything we can muster to reel them in.

Does the Happy Dance. I feel I have in some small way contributed to the 'verse by being part of this great endeavour in getting Firefly into the Hall of Fame.
We were trailing back in the 9th place when I heard the call. Now we're powering ahead. Thank you one and all for your dedication and effort. Another milestone in the journey we call life.
LOVELY! Browncoats in the hall of fame! You sure fit there, unless that you should have been one square to the left, meaning FIRST! And Lexx by your side ;)

I did investigate before I posted, most forums have their vote thread pinned over at Sci Fi forum, so I've been reading through the voting threads, and I know when the fans from your alliances, Roswell, Lexxian, Farscape, X-Files, BSG and Charmed jumped in and started to include FF in their voting block. Everyone is doing it, like I said nothing wrong with that. It's flattering to be the show that everyone else wants to knock off of the #1 spot. It was what Xenites needed to join the voting, so we went from averaging around 500 to an average of 1,300 with the top day voting of 2,800. The more people talked about taking Xena down the more Xenites would vote So we owe you all thanks for the motivation. No need to get defensive about it, just give credit were it is due
As a fan of most Sci Fi shows; including Firefly I want to thanks the fandoms of Roswell, Farscape, BSG, Charmed, X-Files and Lexx for adding their voting power to Firefly's.

(You can read this table into a spread sheet and parse by "_" if you like) Firefly is back at the top of the per month votes, gaining a bit over 4000 on Xena. Overall voting is down; lowering the "target vote rate" for the top 10 to around 350/month. Combat! is "most improved" in position, having gained 5 spots; but it get harder to move fast as you move up the chain. Buffy continues a strong showing, and will likely be the next show to move into the top 10 while BSG is likely the next show to move into the top 5. Scoop needs to pickup about 50 votes a day to avoid being displaced by Highway to Heaven.
Gorram meetings, had to wait all day to finally see the Hall of Fame banner - shiny. Gotta love that theme song.
Good news is we gained over 4000 votes on Xena during the month. And the bad is we're 52K behind, at that rate it'll take us 13 months

You mean... the dinkly little 16oz cans? No way. I find the 48 oz squeeze bottles -much- more enjoyable :-)
Bump, bump, bump your boat gently through the black...
