SF Signal had posted "The 7 Coolest Scenes in Sci-Fi" a little while back, and Mal's Engine Kick had been #6.

We better vote alot all of us.. Im so tired of Matrix beeing "the coolest thing ever" cause its not. Matrix has sat on that throne long enough, it needs to get kicked down. (the Matrix was a good movie dont get me wrong... just not as cool as all the hype will have us believe.. and revolutions, pure crap)

Mal's engine kick ahead at 21.9 %.

When The Matrix first came out it WAS cool!
I had certainly never seen anything like it and even upon repeated viewings it still kicks ass!

But the sequels... they sucked.
And I think they detract from the original, which is sad.

But it's always nice to have 'Verse related stuff ahead of the other genre films!

I reckon I agree. It is great that the kick is up there as it is an excellent piece of TV. However, (that bit of the)Matrix, the Star Destroyer and maybe even Indy (SF???) are pretty major scenes.

What the hell, I voted for Mal anyway.
