Wow, it's been like a whole thread since I posted anything. This is a situation that can go on no longer.

I went out last Friday (as one does) and some post-party pics of me and a couple of mates goofing around are about all I have on my new notebook. Enjoy (or not) as you see fit....

More fun with filters. I made myself (and my sister and two of my cousins) look all Drow-ish.

Edit: Continued tinkering with filters and came up with this:

Edit #2: I think I'll stop it at that, because each filter I add just makes my cousin's (2nd from right) fake tan look more and more obvious.

Ahem.. Seriously though, I'll post this again in here. It's been a while since I've frequented this thread. It's hard to keep track. I'm in a proper arty mood right now, and thought that I'd share my police artist sketch. Uh.. I mean, my self portrait.

^ This took around two or three hours to complete. I used a lowly 'F' technical pencil for a change, (rather than an array of technical and sketching pencils), and some putty rubber.

Yeah, that weekend might be totally doable, certainly in terms of schedule, because until my Photoshop class starts I only have Monday and Wednesday classes, so leaving on a Friday could work... Leave early Friday, should get there by Saturday for sure... Have to check and see how many hours it is, but I'm betting ten or so. Anyway, the schedule shouldn't be too bad, we'll just see how much money the government gives me for school

According to weather.com, the temp in Melbourne was between 37 and 52 yesterday, and the current temp is given as 52 (at night, mind you) So... I consider that about par for fall (as it's still fall there... barely...)

Have new pictures of one of my favorite black and red outfits, but I'm too tired to do the trimming and shrinking of them right now. Later, maybe.

*edit* Jie jie! You're still on! I missed you in Haven by literally two minutes and I was sad :(

Also, 52 degrees is certainly not really, really cold! 37 is chilly, maybe, but I still say you don't know what it is to be really, really cold

Oooooh - these are the photographs I took last weekend - my Dad was driving home from my sister's place at Lancefield (about an hour and a half drive from where we live in Melbourne...) and it occoured to me that some of my US based friends might get a kick from seeing the road from the correct side!!

And further evidence that my family insanity is hereditary... and spreading to the younger generations...

It must have skipped me altogether though...

Anyway, here's the black and red outfit. I haven't worn these clothes since the last time I had a date; was nice to put them on again, if only for a little photoshoot.

And jie jie? It's not winter yet. The solstice hasn't hit, it's still fall. Don't try to tell me that not only are the seasons reversed there, but the Earth tilts differently? Sorry there's no heat, though. Still, a sweater and a blankie is about all I need in 50 degree weather. Oh, and I should mention that my mom puts off turning on the heat until hse can't stand it anymore (it's a money thing, of course) and she can take a whole lot more cold that I can and still be comfortable.

They are actually playing a 9 show residency at The Orange Peel here in NC. Asheville to be exact. Unfortunately all 9 sold out in some crazy short period of time. My buddy got his and called to tell me and they were already gone. :(

Overobsessed--yeah, my niece is a cutie. And guess what? My other sister is having her first in a about a month. So very soon there will be pictures of me holding two babies! (Prepare to swoon, ladies!)(There will be much bunkage. )
