I searched for this thread, but didn't find it, so I apologize if this has already been posted. This is just too good to pass up.

Could you imagine how well Serenity would have done had they used this trailer instead? Its beautiful!

Anyone have any other Serenity trailers they'd suggest submitting to that site? It'd be nice to see the top trailers all Firefly/Serenity trailers.

That was........... poetic. Although they gave a bit too much away, if Uni had done this..... That music made me quiver everywhere.

Why is it the fans are the only ones that can do a truly good job of promoting this lost jem?

Actually, I don't think it gave all that much away. We just all know what is going on so it seems that way to us. Imagine you've never seen Serenity before (difficult, I know) and watsh that trailer again. You don't know what's going on or even who's on what side. But you want to.

That was an amazing trailer. Now if only we could go back in time to put this in as the teaser trailer.

I have this already bookmarked in my YouTube Folder. I get a tear in my eye everytime I watch it. I agree that this is a much better trailer. In fact, the creator won some Firefly fan award for making this awhile back.

That was just amazing. I agree that it could have been a bit unclear if I hadn´t seen the film but It sure made me want to watch it again.

Very shiny. Lots of action to get your attention without giving anything away. The music was a great selection for the trailer.

That is indeed a good trailer. Getting near the end I got chills, but I didn't much like the way it started. It makes Mal look bad.
The trailer I saw was this one:

which is not the one it would seem most people saw. I only saw the 'wide release' trailer online, and I agree that it was horrible. However, this one, the one I saw, made me desperate to see it (this was me having never seen the show before then, and never having watched or had the slightest inclination to watch Buffy or Angel) and actually... it still does. They should have just stuck to this one.

I agree with misstressahara, that was incredibly excellent, just a little long. If that had been shown in theaters before it came out (especially with batman begins, thats where I saw first saw the trailer) it would have been a huge success and definitely knocked out Flight Plan (or whatever that peice of shit was called) for the number one slot.

Yeah, that was a ruttin' awesome trailer! I wouldn't mind flashing some minor spoilery bits around if it would have filled more seats those first couple of weeks after release!!! (and it's not that much of a spoiler...the alliance doctor reveals the subjects of their experiments are undergoing combat training within the first few minutes of the movie)

I agree with you Griz, But.....

Joss and we browncoats needed to get paying warm bodies in the theater seats whom had never heard of the Firefly Universe.
This was an exciting , enticing Trailer with buzz generating sound track that who knows may have doubled tripled the world wide movie gross. One can only speculate. Maybe just maybe we would be discussing Serenity 2 this Summer instead of what could have been.

Oh well and so it goes....

I propose this, if and when the sequel happens (all hope that) then the fans find some good clips that Uni puts out and makes their own trailer and puts it out on the net. Let's face it, as much as we appreciate Uni for doing the movie they fuxed it up with promo's as badly as a certain un-named studio.

Has anyone attached these trailers to their myspace or other accounts? Just wondering if these are being used in the viral marketing.
