No pic, Kitten?

Here's a few from my walk at the lake last week. The water is very high right now.

Wow, I leave the pic postingness for a few days and there's a hole new thread!

I only have a few piccies to share...

This one is from Friday night on the way to the train station to go see Against Me! at The Forum with my mate Dave.
What a night! The only downside was getting my head stomped on and the crappy weather on the way home. Also, this was supposed to be my birthday present from my mate Janosch, but him being a complete fool, didn't have enough to buy my ticket, or Dave's. So I had to buy mine and Dave's ticket. Apart from that, it's pretty much the best night this year. And no, I'm not tired or drunk or stoned. I'm caught in the middle of a blink.

This is Janosch.

And you didn't kill the thread, no worries. It was a virus attack that kinda shut down the site for a bit.

I'm gonna have to see if my mom's good cam can get a decent shot of my eye. I have one of my brother's, and our eyes are arguably similar, but that would kind of seem like cheating.

Kinetic, oh my goodness, how cute!

Naaa, you didn't kill anything Causal. Oh and I see your blatant rip off of my eye (very lovely eyes you have, btw) and raise you... another eye plus my cat's!!

I suspect it was the hair swoops (if that makes any sense) that frame your face. Plus big-giant eyes. Also, were you in pigtails? That might have had something to do with it...

Also, thanks for the compliment!

Heartbreaker - noun 1 a person who is very attractive but who is irresponsible in emotional relationships

That may be the denotation but I was operating under the conotation of a person who is SO very very attractive that many other people will fall in love with said person leading to the inevitable disappointment of at least one of the aforementioned fallers (savvy?).

Now, if I'm the only one thinking along those lines then I'll choose a different noun with which to comment on that A-mazing picture.

Ahem...

Jawdropper (that could work...)
Heartthrob (sounds more like a celebrity)
Eye-catcher (not nearly powerful enough)
Humdinger (uh...its not the 1920s)
Beauty (while I like the word beautiful I always expect beauty to be followed by "and the beast" )
Bombshell (a little archaic and a little sexist)
Stunner (i was definitely stunned hmmm, perhaps....)

Alright, ready?

Oh you're pulling something alright. I'm going to pull the sheets over my bruised head (matches my bruised ego).

ANYWAY, PR that is a wonderful picture of you by the lake. It looks like you're really enjoying your summer and getting outside a lot (frolicking in the yard and what not)! Can't blame you , theres a reason I wanted to work outdoors.

Speaking of fuzzy things...

So today I stayed home sick from work. I know, I know...I played hookie. But I really didn't feel all that well this morning. However, my wife took our puppy to the groomers today, so I needed to pick her up. Here's my fuzzy puppy Chata:
http://webpages.charter.net/shylodog/Pets/Chata2.JPG

Now with her being shown, I absolutely HAVE to show off her fat-cat brother Max:
http://webpages.charter.net/shylodog/Pets/Max2.JPG

Well, since I got all picture happy today, and was feeling so much better than this morning, I felt bad since my wife had to goto work and I gots to stay home and play.

Soooooo, I cooked her some dinner! Turned out pretty good too! Missing is the salad we had as well.

I really shouldn't stay home. I get these silly ideas of pictures and posting.

I should probably look up the stats to back up my claims some days, but there's a reason it's called Foster's Export. The majority of it is sold overseas (the UK is a big buyer, some of the music mags will even advertise gigs that include drink specials of Foster's pints for a mere quid). About the only places in Australia that sell it usually also stock VB and/or XXXX, two beers by which Australian brews should not be judged. Despite me being a non-beer-drinker, I'll still support my local brews (specifically Coopers) over anything else.

My dad always says "Castlemaine XXXX, 'cos the Australians can't spell Piss". So it can't be a very nice beer. and I don't think he means any offence to the Australians.

Nico, you made a fine point.

Coopers is a damn fine beer. Damn fine. Haven't had a drop of it in a while, but the memoriea are good.

XXXX is a dodgy concoction of the devil.

The only other Aussie drink I can take is Toohey's. I can drink it, but I won't endorse it too much.

Although (getting away from beer specifically here), I've recently acquired a taste for Bundaberg Rum. So long as it's not from a can, it's damn good.

Not to expose my ignorance here, but how much is a quid?

(This would also help me understand the many British movies I enjoy.)

And why do they call it a "quid"?

OK... I found kitties for your pleasure... but I have to add my mention of Aussie drinks to the mix... have you boys got no respect for the Bundy? Bundaberg Rum - the finest thing ever to come out of Queensland. And although it is not the finest rum by any stretch of the imagination it should rate a mention at least! There - I said it!

LOL - Jennifer sized door!

Dano - can't see your pretty face sweetie!

My sister's cat Delta - they named it after Delta Goodrem but when they took her to the vet the vet took one look at it and said "oooooh Delta's got nuts" so he is a cross-dressing, gender-confused cat who is gorgeous!

Causal thank you so much for posting that - it's so shiny to see some of our FFF.net family together!!! I had a ball at my own CSTS screening last night, met DarkMatter there - but didn't manage a photo... he's a professional photographer and I just couldn't pull out my mobile phone and take a snap... (though I did get one of the costume comp!)

There were 200 at the screening in Melbourne!!! We rock!! I didn't win a single bit of shiny swag - but I enjoyed myself thoroughly!!

Oh, and for those of you who have seen 'Done the Impossible' - I finally met "Jen, from Melbourne, Australia" She is as lovely in real life as she comes accross on the DVD and was thrilled to hear I am doing the same thing as she did in a few weeks - visiting the US and staying with browncoats all the way!

Dearest Penguin - it is lovely to see the real you!!

P.S. - LOL at the name Mol - what a terrific play on the name - we had a teaser from the fan flick Bellflower - and it is going to be terrific... though they have a Capissan 38 engine so it might just fall right out of the sky!!!

We had a ball! We were a little confounded though--there were about 100+ folks at the screening and it seems that we four were the only FFFers! I told Penguin that next year we should print half-sheet flyers to hand out to folks to try to drum up some interest in FFF.net. Also, we got along well enough to have begun some discussion of holding our own central Iowa shindig in the near future.

Minneapolis showed to a sold out audience last night. There were about 750 seats in theater. It was quite a singular experience. There were a few lovely ladies who wore Inara's dresses - one was in the white gown from Shindig, which looked incredible, and another was in the red and gold dress outfit from the movie when Mal goes to the training house to "rescue" her. Both were stunning. Lots of other shiny folk around in various and sundry costumes, too. ^^

Of course
Grandpa's a retired cop and a lifetime member of the NRA. We take gun safety very seriously in my family.
Though I would hope that guns used as 'photo props' would NOT be loaded... Well, that never mattered to grandpa. Even an unloaded, open gun was not to be pointed in anyone's general direction or there was shouting. I imagine if I'd actually had my finger inside the trigger guard when it wasn't pointing down a range he would have broken my frickin wrist to get it away from me.

Anyway, Ima start a new thread, kk?

Here it be: http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=11&t=29358
