Alright, I know there's a group of us in Greenville, SC.....
But I find it hard to believe that that's it.
I'm too far away (not really, gas is just ridiculous) to really be involved with Greenville, SC or most NC groups.
I'm in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Anyone, anyone? Am I the only Browncoat on the beach?

I'm just below Charlotte in Rock Hill. So is Stoweaway.

Are there ever any shindigs in our area?
I am literally the ONLY person I know around here who knows about FF, except for my fiancee who I converted :)

I know there are in Charlotte, but I haven't been to any yet. Here's a link to the Charlotte Browncoats,

Stoweaway introduced me to it. There's going to be a Serenity screening in June that I'm hoping I can attend.
There have got to be others closer to you. Maybe they just don't come here?

I just did a google search for Myrtle Beach browncoats. You might want to search Yahoo Groups.

I'm alone out here in eastern NC too. I've hooked up with the active Raleigh group and I know of a few Browncoats in Wilmington and the Fayetteville area. I've seen them at the Bedlam Bards concert in Raleigh They'll also be at the CSTS showing of the BDM.

I'm right between Columbia and Greenville, so I'm still a bit far away from Myrtle Beach. I know you'd be welcome to come to any of the events in Greenville, or Charlotte. Any chance of you joining us for the Can't Stop The Serenity screening in Charlotte later this month?

Sorry, sorry, late to the party.
I've been busy planning our Serenity screening.
We'll be showing Serenity at the Park Terrace Theater in Charlotte on Saturday, June 23rd at 7:30p. We'll have a silent auction starting at 6p and a door prize drawing at 7:15p.
This is the biggest event of the year for us. I hope you can make it. We had a couple from Myrtle Beach drive up last year to see it. But I know it's a long way.
As far as other Browncoats in your area...
I think Out2theBlack is in Wilmington. In fact, I know a couple of Browncoats who go to school out there. That's the closest that I'm aware of.
Check out our website for the Serenity screening:
www.charlottebrowncoats.org
It has showtimes, directions to the theater, tickets, the list of prizes and our generous sponsors. And it has my e-mail address if you have any more questions.
I hope we get to meet you there!

And as a side note, I have an extra ticket (my son will be down in Conway that weekend). So if you can make it, and money's a bit tight, the spare ticket is yours for the asking. Email me at jmblosser @ gmail dot com.

John, I'm sorry you ended up with an extra. I hope that wasn't because of my urging.
I passed along your e-mail to someone who was looking for a ticket.
BTW, thanks for recommending Pher. He's agreed to be our official photog. But you're still bringing your camera, right?
I'll see you on Saturday.

HI guys. Unfortunately I have to work the night of the screening, so I'll miss out.
But thanks so much for the offer of the ticket!
And let me know how it all goes!!

You folks down in Myrtle Beach need to pop over to the Columbia Browncoats site.
We have a shindig coming up in Columbia, SC on January 19th. The Charlotte & Greenville Browncoats are descending on Columbia to have a joing meeting of all the SC Browncoats.
I know Columbia may be a pretty good haul from MB but it'll be a chance to meet some other Browncoats from your area.
It's gonna be a bowling smackdown at Columbia Lanes. You can get the details from the Columbia group. Or you're welcome to stop in at the Charlotte group for details too.

Have you thought about trying to get everyone together at Xcon at the Myrtle Beach convention center this year? It starts the 16th and goes until the 18th. Saturday is usually when the most people come out so maybe we could arrange for all the Myrtle Beach Browncoats to meet up out front or in the entry hall. I went last year and there were a couple brownish colored coats and independence flags flying.
