PAYDAY!!!

Purchasing "Stuffs" for care package today.

So tonight is my last night with Mindy for a bit. She should have her car from SD Friday and the kids Saturday. New rental is F=ing awesome. 3 Bed, 2 1/2 bath on one acre. Clean yard in country. Big and spacious. Needs some paint and a barbecue for the back deck but at 650 a month I'll buy her a gorram BBQ and some patio furniture.

Despite the caution I think the falling stage is over. I've fallen and can't get up. Sure there is a chance shit could go terribly awry. But at least I'm letting go of fear and reciprocating a mutual feeling.

I still gotta tell my oldest friend in the world. Sucks 'cause he hates her (dated for a short while waaaay back when).

I hope you guys have a good night, NVG. The rental does indeed sound awesome, and no place is really complete without a place or means to BBQ.

Yeah. I'm all about the cookin'.

Really though. We'll more than likely be cleaning her place and cuddling. Alot. Lots of cuddling.

If there is anything I'm gonna miss it's the cuddling.

I'm such a puss.

I was sitting on a bar stool
In a barbecue joint in Tennessee
When this old boy walked in
And he sat right down next to me
I could tell he'd been through some hard times
There were tearstains on his old shirt
And he said you wanna know what you get
When you play a country song backwards

You get your house back
You get your dog back
You get your best friend Jack back
You get your truck back
You get your hair back
You get your first and second wife back
Your front porch swing
Your pretty little thing
Your bling bling bling and a diamond ring
Your get your farm with a barn and a boat and the harley
First nite in jail with Charlie
Sounds a little crazy, a little scattered and absurd
That's what you get when you play a country song backwards
Well I never heard it said quite like that
It hit me in the face cause that's where Im at
I almost fell flat out on the floor
He said wait a minute that's not all theres even more

You get your mind back
And your nerves back
Your first heart attack back
You get your pride back
You get your life back
You get your first real love back
You get your big screen tv, dvd and washing machine
You get the phone and the lawn and the bed and the mower
You go back where you don't know her
It sounds a little crazy a little scattered and absurd
But that's what you get
When you play a country song backwards
Oh play that song
Woo!!!

If that's the case, then count me as one too. I have missed cuddling for so very long, I forget what it is really like. Every now and then there is a glimpse of it, but more often than not, nothing.

Oh, and I like that song. Funny stuff.

Firstly: Huge Imponderable glompy goodness to FMF and her triumph over evil. The fight goes on, but small victories build momentum.

I have left messages for my friend Jason to call me back. Not sure of his work schedule but I'm sure he'll call. Not sure that he'll be happy, but at least I'll be straight up with him.

Going to the zoo? I wanna go. Never knew your city had a zoo. Woulda made it a point to go with my brother before his wedding.

"You see the bars Bubba? And the animal on the other side? That is you after tomorrow." *giggles*

For his "Bachelor Party" we went to a kick ass nickel arcade that actually had some pretty good games. Had to pass on the DDR though. That's all we needed pictures of. A dancing Non-drunk JoJo.

ADD: Mindy moved out last night. I ended up spending the night. Cayden was pretty sick and she had very little sleep (yet still more than I did) the days before. He went into turbo mode at 1am and didn't quit for over an hour. Once I layed down and listened to her breathing I passed out until 8:30. Whoops. But I think it is some of the best sleep I've had in days. Now how do I get my head around her husband coming up to drop off the car and to see his son. He should be gone early Sunday on a bus back to SD. She will be ending things this weekend. I am a little scared as he is a bit off his axle.

Since I didn't have but one beer the several times we went out I'm gonna crank up the system and watch the movies I got on Tuesday.

Drinking mixed Tequilla drinks and watching 300!

But I'd still rather have my Mindy and the kids.

HUGS NV- you hang in there...your Mindy and kids will be back with you shortly:)I'd have a cell with you at all times though in case Mindy needs you to help with the ex-weasel if he gets out of hand.

HUGS FMF yeah we don't start until August 20th so I get 2 whole weeks ( which I will spend painting, cleaning, boxing, and doing yard work so we can sell the house as soon as I get back from D*C)

The Zoo was lovely...yes we do have a zoo. They've kept it small and nice ( good habitats for the animals) Wyatt had a ball and even got to pet a ferret and watch them train the amur tiger( my friend Steph is the big cat keeper and she let him watch the training session)

Only phone I have is mobile. Sucks 'cause anyone can find me anywhere. Took a lunch and ended up taking a nap with Mindy and Cayden. He still isn't feeling good and she is just plain pooped. Figure I'll get some stuff done in town this evening before going to her place before her husband gets in. The owner of the place has had alot of work done but some of the workers used the shower and tub in her bathroom to dump stuff. Gonna clean it all out so she can have a decent bath.

Just a quick fly-by as I'm up way too early.

Don't let quote 1 (big, conflicted Injun meets crazy, stupid, evil loser) plus quote 2 (nothing like takillya and bloodshed to inspire somebody...) lead to quote 3 (stay away from your armory) or else quote 4 is less likely to happen...

Jus' sayin'. Watch yer back. We all want a happy ending here.

In all seriousness, my friend, I know it's rough. I hope the weekend went well for you (you won't get this 'til Monday...) Just gotta get through a couple of days. That's all. You can do it. We're all behind you.

Hi Penguin, Hobbleit, MsG.

The facts: I got Friday off from Job #2 because I told my boss I had my sleep lab that night. It's this coming Wednesday. I didn't lie; I was just confused. Friday off is nice but it doesn't pay well.

Saturday I walked into my area of the store (a warehouse-sized room of grocery sale items that needed sorting) to find that everything was rearranged and so spent the day trying to find which way is up, in some cases quite literally.

Spent the early part of the day Sunday trying to make sense of the mess left over from Saturday. And then we had a transformer blow up (I hear the fireworks were shiny) and the store was on generator power for three hours. Meaning there was light to see by in most areas, some of the cashy registers were working (important because you must always be prepared to make money in emergency situations) and little else. Including the coolers and freezers for the perishables (because you know, it's not important to sell food that can actually be eaten without being sick; just sell food. Sell it warm and runny if you have to but sell it...)

We had to cover all the perishables with plastic to keep them as cool as possible as long as possible, the plastic initially being industrial size trash bags from the bottle return room and then plastic painter's drop cloth (plastic cloth? I'm having trouble with that...)

The power came back on just in time for us to go home, which of course we couldn't do quite yet. After stocking a lot of cheese that couldn't be done sooner, our 10 hour day ran on an extra hour and a half. At a time and a half pay rate. So it almost made up for missing Friday.

Funny about things like that. I'm still not sure if it was a good weekend or not. This may be a hint: when I got home after all that, my littlest fellow was so anxious about my tardiness, he threw up in the foyer. Twice. Smart fellow he is, he did it on the linoleum. He's always thoughtful like that.

Even though I worked all weekend (not too hard just pressing enter every once in a while type work) it was still pretty good. Bought a new wii game. Got a few people hooked on it. Met some new browncoats. Had a chance to win $1000 (stupid crossword puzzle not having my answer). Plus preseason football started! It turned a "omg just end this stupid call" with my Dad into "ah football talk this is cake". Poker took a dive though. But my skalansky bucks are way up. (means I played good the cards just didn't like me) Other than wanting more sleep I think things are alright.

Well, if that's not a request for an imponderable, I don't know what is.
Okay, so you're running late for work/school? What part of your daily routine gets sacrificed in what order? (The later you are, the less time you have, the more expendable an activity becomes.) Do you skip the shower? Not have breakfast? Forget something quasi-essential (a belt perhaps for pants that can stay up without one)? Brush your teeth at work? Stretch the gas in your tank? Hold it until later?

What can you/have you done without? And what's the priority?

Breakfast is first off the list, the goes shaving, then I'll hold it, then probably a shower but at that point I'm pushing the call in sick o' meter to the limit. Anything beyond that and I just give up.

Granted I can pretty much give up anytime I want currently. Since I can work from home at a whim. God bless the interwebs.

breakfast is the first thing I sacrifice...
well sadly my morning looks foreshortened by just about anyone's standards

1- get up
2- make MisterG breakfast, pack his lunch, and check to make sure he has a packet( pants, socks, underwear, shirt all together on a hanger)
3-quickly shower and moisturize
4- yank on clothes
5- leave

I do my hair ( after blow drying it using heater vents in car) as I drive( well at stoplights)and my make-up at my desk at school...sad huh?

I already eat breakfast at my desk (then again, I get here at 6 or earlier). I usually prefer to shower the night before. There really isn't much to cut out of my morning schedule, though if I have to get going in a hurry, I have taken to "holding it" until I get here.

Guy is crazy about you (he says) Not looking for anyone else (he says). Going out of town for extended time, but will send long email (he says) Then NOTHING for a MONTH.

When you have given up he sends an email with the pathetic excuse that his hard drive crashed and he lost his passwords to email and all phone numbers, but he is sorry and hopes you will forgive him. But YOU KNOW that he was in contact with at least 1 person.

Is it right that my bullsheet meter is off the freaking charts? I am just saying.

Hey let's further fine down this ponder...not just what would you omit...how long does your average get ready take..how long does your fastest take? ( I'm betting the guys have a three to four times shorter amount of time to get ready...I mean how long could a quick shower and pulling on clothes take? It's not like you do your hair and make-up and such)

Ok for my average decent hair, some make-up and jewelry, clothes, atc from start to finish would be bare minimum 1 hour 15 minutes.... to do the short version if I really rushed, skipped make-up, was wearing jeans and a tee...35-40 minutes

ok so how about it guys??? ( I'm betting Jimi only spends 10 as he doesn't even have hair to wash)

Um...well I could probably get out the door in a bare minimum of 15 minutes if I just took a quick shower, threw on pants and a shirt, combed my hiar and brushed my teeth, but how could I leave without petting my kitty?

See you're just not doing it right. Pert plus is shampoo and conditioner! One easy step and out the door.

Hey there folks.

Weekend? Okay. Husband here and gone. I actually drove him to the bus station yesterday morning before the shoot in Fernley. Of all things he had to say thank you and that he's glad Mindy and the kids are being left with someone he trusts. Not sure how to take that or even the extent of what Mindy told him.

As for the readying. About twenty minutes. Thirty if I have to was my hair several times. It gets a bit tangled after being washed more than once.

I am insanely late for work so here's to catching up.

The shaving and moisturising is done at night, in a self indulgent habit I have of bathing in lavendar oil and then moisturizing when I am done. I am never caught with stubble anywhere!

But yeah, I can wash and condition my hair, blow it dry and dress with full makeup and moisturizing in a short time.

I find the longer I take the worse I look. I just get it over with.

You are a beauty so shush up!

eta: what I need though is someone to indulge me by rubbing the moisturizer on my back. I could get borrowed girl to do it if I needed - but it just isnt the same.

That's a pretty good estimate, as I can be showered in 5 (the no hair thing helps) and dressed in another 5. Now, being conscious enough to pull that off, well, that's another story altogether.

And a quick YAY that Adam Baldwin will be at D*C !!!!!

Shower takes 20 minutes at least, drying my hair takes half an hour, styling hair takes less time since my hair refuses to go into any style i try, makeup takesabout 20 minutes. So it takes me about 1 hour fifteen at the least.

See I knew it....lousy hairless guys all dressed and ready super quick... Jealousy is terrible thing ( mine of course)

This is why men are always sitting around waiting for us to get ready.

OK adding to the vanity ponder here...What beauty ritual do you consider absolutely essential?

For me moisturizer would be the one( followed closely by brazilian bikini wax)

I don't mind the waiting around, usually I just find something else to do with the time. It's been so long since we have actually gotten to go out though ...

I've gotta have a good razor, both a straight bladed one (like the Gillette M4 Power ) and a set of good clippers for hair and beard, so they don't get out of control.

By "beauty ritual" I'm sure you meant "manly, grunting, testosterone ritual". In that case the only thing I can come up with is shaving. Which is also not so much essential as it is socially necessary.

When I had like a week off work last year and no need to have human contact I didn't shave at all. Mainly just to see what all would develop. It was a sorta fun experiment.

Yes of course I mean manly, testosterone filled grooming ( sort of like when they call a bath puff a " lather builder" in commercials for men's body wash)

So how long did your beard end up being?

Not too long...quarter of an inch maybe. It was just interesting to see how it actually grows out. When I shaved I'd always just shave all over the place, but really it seems that most of my upper cheeks don't really grow much hair. Also mainly the center of my lower lip grows hair and the sides not so much.

Good morning folks.

Shaving/grooming: Shower takes 15-20 minutes. Shaving I ususally do at night (Half drunk when a good razor is not available). Check and clip nails at least once a week. I haven't cut my hair in over a year. Closest thing is the occasional trim to my burns. Hate having hair in my ear.

On the shaving thing... there was a black cop here that told me he had the same problem with shaving. The hair on my face is nearly as thick as the hair on top of my hear. Praise Allah the stuff won't grow as long or I might have to resort to less than favorable tactics. The best thing is to use a razor with three or more blades and to have a shaving lotion handy for afterwards.

Allright. I'm trying to distract from a real issue and it ain't working. I honestly don't completely comprehend what is happening right now with my "relationship" but can guess that it is pretty much the stuff I was warned about earlier. Seems a depressive state has suddenly overcome Mindy and there is no telling when or if it will get better.

I just cut out a large paragraph detailing stuff related to the issues but I'm tired of sharing.

Nothing against y'all but I need answers, not speculation.

I've already been warned this would happen. It is just something I need to deal with.

Yes, MsG, kids are certainly entertainment. Zachary is positive that he (and also any male who happens to be around, namely me and his little brother) is Buzz Lightyear. Also, he sang the Ballad of Serenity to Magda last week shen she called. When we are in the car, every time he hears River's Jig or Saffron's Wedding Song (yeah, there's only one CD I really listen to in the car, guess whose it is) he says "More pirates!" Gods, I love that kid.

Hi all...I'm here. Work has been kickin' my butt for a few days as it oft seems to do during the endings and beginnings of the month. I've missed you all...but you've been WAY too polite and keeping the threads to readable lengths. Get to work with the posting!

From what I have missed:

First of all: NVG...just hang in there. Give her time and space and things should stabilize again.

On the late morning issue:
I get up at 6:20 to be at work by 7. I don't eat breakfast anyway and I already have clothes and hair-do picked out the night before. It's just a matter of execution. I take a real shower the night before (usually after the gym or riding), so in the morning it's a 5 minute wash-up shower. If I'm that late...I still do it all, just quicker. I can get ready in 15 minutes if need be. Or else I'm just late.

If I have to take a shower in the am, I get up earlier. It takes me about 20 minutes to shower (I swear it takes me longer to get my hair WET than it takes most people for their entire shower). I NEVER "do" my hair in the morning...meaning blow dry, straighten. That alones takes upwards of 45 minutes. Instead, if I wash it in the morning, I put it up (to blow dry/straighten that evening for the next day) or put stuff in it to keep it wavy.

If I've planned clothes the night before, life is easier and I won't stand in front of the closet pondering what to wear (seriously, that can add on loads of time).

another 10 minutes or so for make-up, making the bed, opening the house and gathering stuff for work.

I plan 2-hours for going out IF I have to do my hair. But like say, I'm pretty efficient at figuring ways around styling my hair right before an evening out. Works MUCH better to do it in stages and not make all the effort at once.

I've been having power outtage issues and internet outtage issues...heck even my cell phone cut out for a bit. The storms that passed though here apparently had more umph to them than they sounded. Whatever. I never fails when I have a few days off in a row that something comes up and I can visit with y'all as much as I'd like to.

In any case, I just sent a PM to CaliforniaKaylee (gonna resend it 'cause I don't know if it got out of the gate...). Has anyone heard from her? In other news, Hi everyone. I'm to cranky to visit much now, but I'm thinking on all of you with love.
