Heheheh... Heyya, derangedmilk... First post, first vump (as such). I can blame you (and Nenella, who left me in charge as Tallymister on the TV Vote thread, over on Skiffy, when she went on vacation) for my mania for vumpage (though I had no such name for it, before I came here).
I have been enjoying the nigh-meteoric rise of Firefly's votes since I joined up over on Skiffy in late June; also been acting as Tallymister on Universal HD, as well, trying to boost the gain on the vumpage. I am much impressed with your fancy and insightful charts and such; I have to make do with a pocket calculator, bein' as I am a relatively primitive beast.
However, primitive also encompasses a fierce loyalty to tribe and kin, which is, after all, what Browncoats are, so, I'm glad to be doin' my own, li'l part in alla this.
Thought you might find it interestin' to know that, on certain other Skiffy boards, other fandoms are entering into voting alliances, i.e., you vote for us, we'll vote for you. All legal and fair, I s'pose... Still, the Skiffy Battlestar Galactica, Lexx, and Doctor Who fans (and, as yet unmentioned, but, never out of that picture, the Farscape fans), may soon vote as a collective bloc, not unlike how some of the Whedon fans vote alla Joss' shows, together.
Food for thought.
Anyway, now that I'm here, I'll be payin' more attention to this thread, and, this community.

Thanks for keeping up the voting thread over on scifi.com. I was pretty active on that thread in the beginning but after it got pinned I just didn't see the point in vumping it and since I'm really not a stat man there well...hasn't been all the much to say except the occasional, "still votin! keep at guys!" Good work man. Its the dedication of people like you and Flattop and all the other number crunchers that keep these threads (and consquently the vote) alive.

Interesting... I wasn't aware of any voting alliance on Skiffy involving us Browncoats, at all. It certainly wasn't mentioned in the context of the thread on which I saw it, posted on the Doctor Who boards by EldarKinSlayer. If there's any voting bloc involving Browncoats, somebody needs to inform us.
It sounds a bit like the Wreck or Repair "alliance" fiasco, in which a few folks from one board got a commitment from a few folks on the Firefly board to vote together; when the bulk of us didn't follow through (not being in on it, and, as Browncoats, voting our own minds, anyway), there were many unkind words as to our collective character.
As for the small part I play in alla this, well, it's no more than any Browncoat would do. The one way to keep the troops aware and enthused is to keep the numbers in front of them. Positive stimulus, and all that. I'm just tickled to be a part of it!
Time to make the push into first! And, once we get there, we hold! 370,000 points is the next goal... 400,000 not so far past that... By the way, does anyone know what the end point is for this "Long-term Exo-News Project?" Or, is it simply indefinite?

We can't let up!
When we passed Bonanza, we kept our pace up, and headed for Xena, even though they were way way way in the distance.
Now we've caught them!
Now we need to hold them.
This must not be another Serenity Valley.
If Jericho is doing good, it means they've got dedicated fans. If we can keep em off our backs, it means they'll wonder what the hell we're made off. And they'll wonder what makes Browncoats so strong. And they'll maybe even go and check out Firefly.
