why are DA and firefly fans so bitter?

Personally, I am a fan of both (I noticed some people said Max Guevera was their fav female character)But some people (mostly DA fans) are bitter towards firefly for taking DA's spot and then be cancelled so soon... but the thing is why are people bitter towards a show? It's FOX's fault javascript:emoticon(':fox:')(not sure if the smilie will work but it is a smilie taking an axe to the word FOX)Anyway what are your thoughts?

I've not known anyone to be bitter at Firefly fans over the demise of DA. I was/ am a huge fan of DA, especially the 1st season, and felt it was collapsing in on itself via poor story progression.

I'm really ticked off that F*X also canned John Doe after just 1 season as well. That had one HELL of a cliff hanger which will forever haunt its fans.

I do remember long ago when Firefly first started there was a DA fan who came on here and dissed everyone and laughed because Firefly was losing viewers (gorram fux ) and was being a MAJOR troll to everyone. So it has happened. It should be in the archives in Troll country.

I never got in to DA. In fact I didn't even know what DA stood for until I saw the link at the bottom of your post. I'm only upset that Firefly was cancelled, no feelings toward DA.

I've personally never noticed any bitterness between DA fans and Browncoats, only one or two occasions with Trekkies.

I've just started to watch Dark Angel and so far loving it though it took 3 episodes to really get into.

@sickdude- what car should Logan have driven? (besides it is post-pulse so there wouldn't be as many cool cars... Though Logan could have whatever he wanted... however it wouldn't have been a good idea to be driving some awesome car when no one else could afford basic needs

After now watching the whole of the 1st season of Dark Angel and part of the 2nd season in just under a week I can say it's brilliant , fantastic, cool but I can't say Dark Angel could of gone on for more 3 seasons top cause let's say 7 seasons of Dark Angel couldn't work for the simple reason of they finished off manticore in the first seasons and its the aftermath in the second so I don't think DA fans could be bitter towards Browncoats since Firefly took its spot on FOX after DA finishing.I myself am a DA fan now by the way.

From DA's point of view, the bitterness comes from them actually being told they were renewed for a third season, only to find out the next day that this was NOT the case.

Browncoats are bitter because success was never really an option given the circumstances that were put upon the series by the network.

That's what I think anyway.

I noticed it starts to drag in the middle a bit too, I liked the first season a lot especially how it never went all about mutants and monsters which in the second season has dipped its toes into.
I already knew about Michael and Jessica in RL since I was watching NCIS before DA so I already liked Michael as an actor.

Dark Angel? Ugh, I had tried to wipe that from my memory. What a crappy show.

I mean, I like the background story. I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic conditions. But Jessica Alba was a mistake to cast. Sure, she's a fine actress, but she was used too much as eye candy. Kinda like T'Pol/Blalock in Enterprise.

After finishing the 2nd season I do think it salvaged itself pretty well. My favorite episode out of the 2nd season was Some Assembly Required. First because of the absence of any mutant characters. But also because it was mainly about Zack and Max's emotional relationship.

Although when Zack was revealed with his red optic implant, it screamed Terminator so loud it was almost comical.

Not my favorite episode from the 2nd season but Some Assembly Required was one of the best, I was put off a little by his red optic implant at least in the Terminator it looked real in DA it looked like a flashing bicycle light.
