My hack at the stats:

Top two scores as of this morning:

Total votes Firefly: 374343

Total votes Xena: 370675

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1554 times.

Yesterday, Xenites voted 843 times.

(Xenites voted 711 times less, yesterday).

Firefly is 3668 votes ahead of Xena!

Browncoat votes fell by 17, yesterday, -1% ; Xenite votes dropped by 13, -1.5%. The net difference meant we lost 4 off our vote lead from the previous day, though we are increasing our overall lead.

The next goal is 375,000 votes, which will take another 657 votes... Tomorrow. Not far off from that, is 400,000, or, another 25,657 votes, about 16.5 days at current voting levels. Then, we shoot for half a million, still about 81 days out as we are currently voting.

As for Best Buy running outta BDCE, as FLATTOP mentioned... That's GREAT! That means demand has exceeded expectations! You see it on all the Firefly boards, here, Skiffy, Universal HD... Stores running through their stocks, even as we keep posting great numbers on Amazon.com, the apparent industry standard, while Amazon has trouble keeping the orders filled! If, as Joss said, our best remaining hope for more of what we love lies with this DVD set, then, we have done pretty much all that we could. The ball is now firmly in Universal's court.

I tried at a public library once and they were clearing sharing the same internet connection (if thats what a subnet is) and only the first one went through, the second time it said that I'd already voted that hour. However, I was at the big university library so I'm thinking that each computer had its own connection.

Although, heres another question: If I lose track of time here at home and vote a few minutes early and get the "we're sorry" screen and then go back in a few minutes and try again, getting the "thankyou" screen this time, the site doesn't throw out all of my votes for the day on the assumption of cheating right? If I get the "thankyou" screen I assume it went through, but a couple times I've gotten the impression otherwise from the way people talk.

Can anyone clarify on these points? I know you lurk here rich!!

Yes, the votes went through, but were likely tossed out during the verification/tally phase.
There is a very high probability that these computers were all on the same subnet. The building has ONE connection to the internet. The connection (modified phone line, cable, or sattelite) is attached to a router. All data flow to/from the building passes through the router. All of the computers attached to the same router are given different IP addresses (uuu.vvv.xxx.yyy) that differ only in the last 3 (yyy) digits; the xxx digits are the subnet. If they (xxx digits) are the same on each computer attached to a router, then the computers share the same subnet (usually. I'm sure there are exceptions, but you aren't one of them)).

Good question. I'm pretty sure those votes go through, but I don't really know. Perhaps try voting early (repeatedly) for a show that's low on the nominations list and see if your votes count. That's how I usually check to make sure my votes are counting.

Feeling crappy, couldn't get out of bed till noon vump.

So I'm not in work and my stats script isn't as easy to get to. If I can shake off this headache I'll try to find the energy to do it later.

Based on FlatTop's numbers though - our weekly average went down which is to be expected - a week ago today was our Serious Spike when we took the lead in the first place, so the only way to maintain our weekly average from yesterday would have been to repeat that spike today.

Xena's average went down too, though, and their spike last week wasn't till Saturday when they noticed they'd been passed.

And just cos I can, here's Serious Spike again...

Why couldn't it be Kaylee? 'Course if Kaylee meant what Spike means, then we'd just as likely have Spike meaning what Kaylee means, and I'd end up bleaching my eyes again anyway 'cause he'd still be the one in the picture.

Oh, I'm all in favor of vumpin' with Kaylee, I think that's pretty obvious from my sig

But I don't understand why Spike is actually eye-bleach-worthy rather than just neutral. It's not like I posted a pic of him taking Mal's place in that scene from Trash...

However, if'n you really want some eye bleach, I think this will be more effective. Sorry it's a lil large. Actually no I ain't. Praise be to the Fark thread a week or so ago that started out about some Illinois polititian and ended up as a hot-women-of-scifi fest... gotta love Fark.

That's a really nice piccy of Kaylee!!

The voting block consists of Firefly, Lexx, BSG and Roswell. Charmed are definitely NOT voting for anyone and The X-Files is suspected in the same. Roswellians don't write, but they are honest and vote, just like the lexxians (imagine our alliance if I wasn't the contact between browncoats and lexxians) and BSG are really honest in their deals!
