Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1174 times.

Yesterday, Xenites voted 698 times.

(Xenites voted 476 times less than Browncoats, yesterday).

Firefly is 13,458 votes ahead of Xena!

Browncoat votes fell by 158, yesterday, 11.86%; Xenite votes fell by 46, 6.18%. Not a great day for votes. We need to pick it up!

Now, we shoot for our next big goal, 425,000, which is 22,459 votes away, about 19.13 days at current voting levels.

Further out is half a million, 97,459 votes away, still about 83.01 days out as we are currently voting.

4,272,404 votes have been counted as of 09/15/07; 12,631 were cast yesterday. In order to take ownership of 10% of all votes cast yesterday, we needed to vote 1,264 times, falling short by 90 votes. We are up to 9.4250706% of all votes ever cast.

We can still take that 10% slice of the pie on Rich Labonte's charts! If each of us voting managed to eke out just one more vote per day, it would make a huge difference; we could start catching up on that 10%, not to mention reaching our goal numbers much more quickly.

Our 1000+/day streak is still going strong, at 47 days, but it almost slipped away from us, last weekend! Just 27 days to beat Xena's all-time record of 73 days. Let's not let our votes start slipping away from us, again!

Remember, on Thursday, September 20th, the anniversary of the very first airing of Firefly on TV, we shoot for our best votin' day ever! Our record was 2,359 (Xena's, which we should really shoot to beat, was 2,803).

Mostly, I was curious to see how DS was making out compared to the bottom of the top40; they seem to be about 14 weeks out at current voting rates. That would leave Hercules as the 'show on the bubble'. Of course, 14 weeks is a pretty long time with weekly totals as 'close' as these are.

Actually, I'm currently voting about more than 10 shows; this means each time I vote, it's diluting Firefly's share below your 10% goal line.
Why so many shows? These are shows which I like which I believe should be 'moving up' the chart. There are shows on the chart which I'm quite content to see stay where they are or move down a bit; for instance, I'm not currently voting 'Little House on the Prairie'; while I like it, I think it is at an 'appropriate' place on the chart.
While I'm 100% behind keeping Firefly at the top of the chart, I would suggest that you risk some counter-productive backlash by pushing for the 10% target goal.

Well, I've always been a firm believer in the notion of voting what you like, which is why, as I've said, before, in this topic, that I'd prefer folks not stop voting for their faves to boost the percentage.

That said, what I am proposing we aim for is Firefly's percentage share to be distinctly larger than, for example, Xena's. That would be visible by taking that pie slice to 10%. I can't claim to know exactly what the math would look like to get us there, but, I don't believe that the other shows Browncoats vote for, being a relatively small percentage of the total, overall votes those shows receive individually, have that large a statistical impact on this.

I've been tracking this at a very sub-decimal level, which is where we're gonna see any changes, +/-. Our numbers have crept up when our total votes per day has been higher; conversely, they drop when our votes drop, which has happened all too frequently, of late.

Really, this is just another goal to shoot for. Not sure how many Browncoat voters are even paying it much attention, but, it is another incentive to keep the overall numbers up. Aside from that, and, the more important goal of keeping our 1k+ votes/day streak going, at least until we beat Xena's record, we are in the enviable position of not being concerned about the competition.

So, instead, we are really in competition with ourselves, and, our goals. That is what will keep us voting. With nothing standing in our way but our voting rate, concrete, challenging goals, like the 10%, can keep us focused.

At current weekly average rates, Jericho's going to catch Xena, but it's going to take them a while :) BSG is one vote shy of Bonanza's weekly average total. And Combat is now pulling in more weekly votes than Buffy - can't have that!

Total votes Firefly: 404699

Total votes Xena: 390302

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1116 times.

Yesterday, Xenites voted 618 times.

(Xenites voted 498 times less than Browncoats, yesterday).

Firefly is 14,397 votes ahead of Xena!

Browncoat votes rose by 74 yesterday, 7.10%; Xenite votes rose by 17, 2.83%. Firefly did much better for a weekend day!

Now, we shoot for our next big goal, 425,000, which is 20,301 votes away, about 18.19 days at current voting levels.

Further out is half a million, 95,301 votes away, still about 85.395 days out as we are currently voting.

4,295,581 votes have been counted as of 09/17/07; 11,792 were cast yesterday. In order to take ownership of 10% of all votes cast yesterday, we needed to vote 1,180 times, falling short by 64 votes. We are up to 9.4250706% of all votes ever cast.

We can still take that 10% slice of the pie on Rich Labonte's charts! If each of us voting managed to eke out just one more vote per day, it would make a huge difference; we could start catching up on that 10%, not to mention reaching our goal numbers much more quickly.

Our 1000+/day streak is still going strong, at 49 days, beating our previous best-ever streak, but it almost slipped away from us, Saturday! Just 25 days to beat Xena's all-time record of 73 days. Let's not let our votes start slip away from us, again!

Remember, on Thursday, September 20th, the anniversary of the very first airing of Firefly on TV, we shoot for our best votin' day ever! Our record was 2,359 (Xena's, which we should really shoot to beat, was 2,803).

Gotta work on these weekend votes, Browncoats! Just a little more, mebbe vote earlier in the morning, as well as later before bed, and, we can keep our streak going!
