At 11:30 AM PST my wife went into labor. I have not been available since then and will continue to be unavailable for possibly the next 24 to 48 hours. Will chat with you all later.

Indeed, congratulations! Hope all is well with mom and child.

Congratulations!!! I hope everything works out swell. I love everything you've done for this site and for all of us sci-fi/fantasy/horror geeks out there.

Good luck! And remember, it's all about the sleep; when the baby sleeps, you and your wife should sleep, period. Trust me on this one.

Yes, congrats as well. Kid should be close to
the nominal 90 day threshold and can actually see the light of day soon.

In any case, I was wondering what about growing up in Hawaii that is so nice. Is it all of the racist attitude towards the Hawaiians and the whites, the deplorable illiteracy rate, or the sulking (oh, I meant sucking ) economy completely based on touristry "that is now practically completely collapsed", the bad politics - perpetually clueless government (no, despite what you might have experienced for ur local gov., these folks are really clueless), the really dumb "investigative" reporting the local newscasters "must" copy from the west coast.

Okay, they do have nice weather now and then; but mostly it's way way way too hot and humid. Oh yeah, the humidity and the proximity to that big thing call the Pacific really ruins things for computers.

Grass is always greener over there too.

Just asking...

and Congrats to Haken+kid+Wife.
