*Walks around wiping tables and whistling, getting eveything in place and shiney for the work week*

Since I'm working on the "first" day of the week, thought I'd start things off.

Excuse me.

*checks breakables room, fire proof room.*

And our new addition - the sound proof room!

Second!!

Hey there Avery - Hi there Groupie! Thanks for the shiny new thread!! I am leaving for work in exactly 2 minutes so I thought I'd pop in for a quick and strong cup of the good stuff! Not often I get on here this early in the morning!

Why'd God invent Monday mornings...?

Okay, now I have to make sure I send some things to NVG for his poor bare walls.

Suz: *points to the bowls of c3b* There's non-alcoholic ones if you like...*digs out a box of chocolate and chocolate covered macadamia nuts* ...the liquor ones are for those who need both...

MrG: 21 sounds yummy, but since it's for stress relief (and what I'm going to do with it would have most yelling at me for ruining perfectly good whisky or scotch), 15 year will do.

As for tilapia? *shudder* Sorry MrG and MsG, but those fish are icky where I'm from. (I won't tell you where I see those fish most often. *shudder*) But then again, I live where fresh fish means that it was swimming some time earlier in the day (any fresher, and it would be twitching still).. Everything else though, sounds so *yum* *drools slightly*

RIMG: *hugs* Smoking Aces had all the makings of an Asian-type story (think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon)...was a tiny bit disappointed with the ending.

*waves to LA*

Puuuuummmmmpkiiiinnnnssss.....
I has toooo maaaaannnyyy puuuuuummmmpkiiiiinnnnsss...

OK, not really too many, but I have not yet gotten around to dealing with them or the apples we got on Saturday. I *have* gotten my produce washed and dried, but that's about it.
Then there's the mushrooms I need to dehydrate and pop in the freezer for nice stews this winter..

There's this stand we go to that has the BEST APPLE FRITTERS EVER! It just wouldn't be a proper Fall without a stop there, even if we didn't pick our apples there.

Wednesday we get a new (larger) fridge, and I'll have room for stuff! Yaaay!
I need to clear out a little room in the freezer to make room for stuff, which requires cooking and then putting things in the fridge.
Eating is another side effect of this process, but I'm good with that.
I'm wrestling with software and photobucket right now. What should have worked failed to, so now I need to wait for IT (Doctroid in this case) to finish playing clarinet, then bat my eyelashes at him and say pretty please.
I have no idea what went wrong. I iz feelz sooo stooopiiid.

Barkeep! Mango daquiri the size of my head please! With some fresh pineapple just to keep it interesting!

RIMG: Was waiting for everyone to suffer a great tragedy...sucked that some got away with a "happy ending" in my mind. (Didn't see the alternate ending darn it.) I did like the final scene in the hospital though, it made a great end.

MsG: Yeah, being in a desert makes finding good fish challenging...One of these days, I'm going to have time to do stuff like cook. (That'll scare everyone. )

SR: Apple fritters...yum...*drool* Okay...everyone's making me hungry (and with my standard lunch -- diet cola -- that isn't too hard). Gotta get going soon. *sigh*

Sounds fun, in a twisted way.

And about Heroes:

I don't think it's moving slow, there are just too many story lines and not enough time. Well, Peter's arc is a little slow, but I am loving Kristen Bell. She's so good at being evil.

I am trying to get to Heroes, Netflix has season 1 on Watch Instantly, but the only time I have to watch is putting 7 month old to sleep, and by that time of the day, my brain is only capable of watching(or rather staring at) Conan, or even worse, Poker After Dark. Ok had a laugh today. In my science class, one of our biggest gangbangers needed help. So I go help him and he says " you smell really nice...um..not that I was sniffing you...I mean..I was just smelling and you smell good..um" at this point the kid's bright red and about ready to dig a hole and bury himself. It was hilarious and cute. ( ok I should specify by biggest I mean in the gang and size wise he's about 6'4" and 230 pounds)

Oh don't feel TOO bad for me. I'm the dad btw, and my beautiful and talented wife is the "lucky" one who stays home with them. I've never quite understood the phrase "it's like nailing jello to a tree" because all you'd have to do is form a bowl of sorts with the nails sticking out and then glop the jello on top, right? I've never tried this out myself, but it should work.

MsG: *meh* That was probably the most "interesting" part of the day...'cept for the afternoon where I had one meeting followed by a double-booked meeting set (the double booking was for two different students). As for the room looking lame, fortunately (or not) I had clay model cells out (that my students had made) that I hadn't moved from the front of the room that they were looking at...
What can they do? Fire me? Not likely...I'm not doing anything that I could be fired for. Just don't like being suddenly invaded (and with about 6 adults walking in, it felt like an invasion).

Math can be tough, but I've learned to do the problems step-by-step -- record every step you do on paper, even if it's as simple as adding 1+1 for that particular step. I encourage my students to do that too...

*waves to MrG*

It's going to be a busy day...lots and lots of papers coming in today (yikes!) Might see you all later.

I have had a mental block ever since then. I hate math. I can't do math.
