Ok, so I'm a Maryland Browncoat. Which you probably guessed from the title.

Anyone know anything Firefly-related happening this year either inside Maryland of within an hour's drive of Baltimore? Because I really don't get enough Firefly from my family and my one hyper-obsessed friend, because that constitutes four people - plus some of my sister's friends but yeah, don't see much of them - and I need the rest of the 'verse too!

Unfortunately, there is a definite lack of Browncoaty goodness in Maryland. We're here and there but definitely not a cohesive force.

I know of 3 other Browncoats who are from Maryland (jossisagod, ryce, and exotick) but that's it. *sigh*

Yeah, I know some people in real life but at least one I'm pretty sure ain't on here, and the rest... No idea!

Can anyone think of a Maryland con-type thing where the Browncoats would likely be?

Hi folks. Well I just moved to Virginia. I do belong to the Firefly meetup for Northern Va. There are some people from Maryland who belong also, from the Lanham/Columbia area if I remember correctly. We get together once a month for lunch and or a movie. It's a great time.

Not sure how far you are from Arlington but I believe that's the closest Serenity Screening that I know of right off the top of my head and that's on June 22nd and 23rd.

When I was looking for fellow Maryland Browncoats way back when, the N. VA meet up was the closest I could find and I've been happy with them. I do know that's it a bit of a haul for the folks living up in Baltimore/Ocean City.

hehehe. I think Exotick is right. The Arlington screening is the closest for us Chesapeake Bay Browncoats.

I'm here, I've just been lurking as usual. But yep I've moved but I'm probably closer to you now then I was before. First I was in MD, then in DC, now in VA.

Anyhoo, you know how this area is. DC/MD/VA. I've lived here all my life and just lump it all together (which I know insults people).

My bad...Arlington is in Virginia, it's right outside of Washington DC.

It's pretty easy to get to (provided there is no traffic of course)

Ok I'm still gonna plug the northern virginia browncoats...we have folks that come from maryland too, columbia and germantown. It's a bit of a drive but we usually end up spending all day doing something, lunch and a movie or soemthing else.

Born and Bred Baltimorean here! Go Ravens... well at least don't embarrass us this week.

Also please root for me and the B-More BoneCrushers this week in the Firefly Fantasy Football Championship this week. It got started right here, on this forum.

Me and the Big Red One (wife) Would probebly be down with some shiny 'Coated get-togethering. We should plan (and scheme).

I live in new york, but I come down to maryland a lot for work and to visit my mom who lives in baltimore. I would definitely be interested in getting together
