Err...that's not what was said.
The old man thingy said that Kara would lead humanity to it's end, not destruction. And then it mentions the apocalypse, but it doesn't state who for.
You could read it (as I choose to) that she will lead them to the end of the journey (i.e. finding earth) and this will bring about the Cylon apocalypse.
On another note it was nice to see the old raiders but I felt that seeing the centurions inside and hearing them talk was a little forced, we needed to see it on other occassions as well for it to feel more natural.
"I don't believe in suicide, but if you'd like to try it it might cheer me up to watch."

I'm glad someone else felt awkward during that little cut-away to inside the raider. It did not look like current BSG at all... Seemed outta place.
But the classic raiders worked well I thought. And I loved the scene where everyone is looking over the wreckage.
Overall, It was refreshing to have NEW BSG stuff. Razor was long overdue for me. And I am so glad they wrote in all the things mentioned on the Pegasus 2-parter back in S2. Really brought it back full circle.

Where do you get that Starbuck is a Cylon? I didn't get that at all from her disappearance and return. In fact, I think it's going to be much more shocking when the final cylon is revealed.
I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

Wouldn't it kick Roslyn's ass, if she found out she was the last Cylon? The woman that was tossing cylons out of airlocks, finds out she's one of them!
I wonder if she would step into an airlock or rationalize her previous actions.
If cylons are human, which I believe they really are, she'd rationalize. That's what humans do!!!

I like the way you put that: 'out of nowhere' stuff. That 'stuff' is the exact reason I stopped watching.

The new BSG is a very over-rated show IMO.
Razor got some mixed reviews

’Razor’ just won’t cut it for ’Galactica’ fans
Of course you've also got the lunatics from Cylon Dot Org and StallionCornell who always hated the new show

Pfft.. The new BSG is singularly the best show of any genre on TV at the moment IMO.
Go play with your rainstick..

I do... Galactica seems to be heading towards a Blake's 7 style ending where rather than finding Earth and everyone going off happy the entire fleet burns under fire from the Cylon guns, now that would be a good ending from a plot point of view it would be memorable, unexpected and have fans talking about it for years.
And even if it doesnt happen then it certainly indicates that Season 4 will be full of action and suspense something that I feel the show lacked after Exodus Part 2.

I didn't like it too much.
It served its purpose (ie feeding the jones for BSG), but the known facts from S2 were really shoe-horned into the script. The shooting of her XO was just dumb..felt completely unnatural and forced.
Once the er..main character, the girl, got shot, I could have written where the script was going to go. Very, very predictable.
I'd give it about 3 stars out of 5.

well, i disagree - i thought it delivered everything i would want from a long BSG episode and didn't feel any particular moment to be overly forced (maybe a couple of the hair-pieces!).
there are always little bits n pieces in any ep of any show but hell and attempting to reviisit is always gonna be tricky - Sharon had a pretty unecessary bit role - but when you get performances as strong as Forbes and Jacobsen's what does it matter?
and visually just a total FX fiesta!
The hybrid doesn't mention Kara in relation to being a threat to humanity much at all - the initial speech could mean finding earth and the final speech ("They must not follow her") could refer to the splintering of unified Cylon culture (not humanity) into seperate pieces.

Totally.
Quote:Honestly, I liked it because I had no real idea what it meant. For me, when you nail something down on the new BSG down too precisely, it doesn't make sense. I'm hoping they do something great for the finale, but as far as new, space-based SF is concerned, I'm goin' SGA.

It was Steve Bacic. He gets shot in almost everything (I can only think of two roles where he hasn't been killed, and one of those just started a few weeks ago).
