It must be deeply strange to be loved, feared, respected, hated by so many different people with their own stories, not for who you are but the uniform you're in.

But know that we love you for who you are, through the posts we know you from. It's wonderful to have a home here, isn't it?

And know that my prayers are with you and your friends. I hope you return home safely and soon. I hope you lot find Osama Bin Laden and get him in front of the Hague to answer for his crimes. Someone should send the Redcoats some DVDs, I would but I'm not exactly rolling in cash at the moment (Big Damn Moves do that to a guy) and I'd get the wrong encoding on the disks anyhow.

Static, stay safe and keep your stuff wired tight. Sometimes people who're short can daydream and then get a might shorter in a not good way. Not that ya would, but just, well stay safe.

As a general rule, RocketJock, the premise is correct. Personally, I'd like to keep this thread toward in the top 10 so that Static can see it when he comes home.

It's also a really great way for the new fans on the board (and we're still getting new folks every day) to see how much our favorite show affects/reflects in the lives of others - sometimes in very significant and meaningful ways.

That being said, once Static has announced his return to the US (complete with the rest I'm sure he'll need after such a long journey), I'll probably still add something to this thread once in a while, so the new folks can experience it.
