1) Our Scoobies are all growed up- no more kid stuff.
2) Nathan's in it.
3) Andrew's episode Storyteller.
4) The line "Welcome to Thunderdome."
5) Faith's in it, and she's great. Or, at least 'enthused', if you go by Principal Wood.
6) Spike's evolution as a character.
7) Angel appears, but not long enough to irritate. (JK
)
8) Chosen, the best series finale I ever seen.
9) The music was at it's best.
10)Xander looks all cool and Nick Fury/Snake Plissken-like with the eye patch.
So say we all?isall

12) "I've never been with her in front of a man before..."
13) "Here endith the lesson."
14) The cookie-dough speech.
15) "Conversations With Dead People"
16) The Spike/Principal Wood fight.
17) The Spike/Buffy conversation in bed *snif*.
18) "Ouch- Mommy, this mortal wound itches..."
19) Willow in England (Anthony Stewart's house, actually).
20) Glory only had a cameo.

Sorry, can't agree with you on that one. Not only a hard episode to watch, my least favorite Buffyverse character ever.

I freaking loved Xander's speech in that episode, it had me tearing up.

#3- season 5
#4- season 1, 2
(1 & 2 were just a little TOO high schooly for me, as well as the 16mm thing...)

OMG! You are not into Drusilla, Queen of the Damned?!
Season 2 will always be a favorite, if just because of the rocket launcher!
(I'm thinking Chrisisall needs to watch it again)

While I'm not fan of S4 you are dead on about S3. S3 is by far the best, no other season is even close. I did enjoy Spike and Dru during S2.

Season 4 as a whole story ark isn't nearly as strong as two and certainly not three, but I just find that season four holds up extremely well to repeated viewing. I'm no fan of the initiative idea, but I must admit some of the stories that came out of that were fun, and as such I personally maintain it as the funniest season overall.
Season three for me really nailed the essence of what Buffy as an icon was and I can't find fault with a single episode in that season. It is the best. I just find that I have to be in it for the 'entire' season to rewatch it though... Where as four I don't mind skipping episodes or going out of sequence.![]()

Quote:Totally agree with your assessment here, Somnambulist, and seven is like four to me; I can watch any ep out of sequence and still get a thrill!

But six is one I have to go all the way through...like three, but not as thoroughly satisfying.

Ha,ha! Certainly Big 'C'
Only we'll be hounding our offsping to pick us up one of them retro media players so we can play our dusty DVDs. Imagine what they'll have by then! Some sort of cerebral plug that is wirelessly connected to a central media server out on the planet mars or summit! Or a media-chip 'tablet' that you ingest and 'experience' the show as you sleep :D He,he... the mind boggles
I figure give the industry Twenty years and they'll remake the entire Buffy Seasons, with new stars and new effects, with an honorary cameo by the original show creator... Joss Whedon.

They'll CGI the existing series to death, and broad wave it as new, making it make embarrassingly large stacks of cash at a minimum investment...
Then they'll make new eps by digitally recreating SMG and the entire cast.

I didn't like season seven until I saw it on DVD. No commercials. If for no other reason, I liked season seven for my intoduction to Trogdor the Burninator. *snort*
I liked the Storyteller episode, how it showed the evolution of Andrew, and how it made me laugh out loud.
Kennedy -- not what Willow was looking for, but what Willow needed. I did not like their relationship at first, but they grew together, and it grew on me, though I am in the "Tara and Willow forever" camp.

I'm sure you're right... and TPTB will call it 'new media' and not pay residuals to any of the surviving actors or writers.....

The things I love about it strike me as among the very best moments or elements of the whole show. The things I hate? Well, it’s years down the line now – and when I re-watch it… I STILL hate em.
It may be worth noting that Joss himself has spoken of ‘writer’s exhaustion’ in regard to S7.
Anyhoo – here for the unwary is the quick, ruff and entirely subjective Wytchtakers Guide To S7, aka The Good, The Blah and the Chiminey.
LUFF
Chosen, Conversations with Dead People, Selfless, The Killer in Me, Lies My Parents Told Me, Same Time, Same Place etc.
LOAF
Empty Places, Showtime,
Bring On the Night - and all the many emptysodes of Blah and hanging about in that damn house waiting for nuthin to frakking happen and with no character progression.
QUESTION:
Anyone else agree the season should have been 11 episodes? Would’ve been better I reckon – and reflected season 1.
LUFF
“Bite me Harris!” Prime Anya steals the season. She rocks throughout.
Tom Lenk is a God.
Principal Wood.
Faith Vs Spock.
Spike – once he gets his mojo back and for “Button, Button who’s got the button – my money’s on the witch!”
Nathan is just, well, he’s terrific. I know ‘fans’ of the show, so terrified by him – they can’t watch! He’s also, of course, gorram funny.
Bonus: Nikki Wood and The Mayor. Cassie – even though her story is kinda dull.
The Incidental Music.
Aimee Mann.
Drew Goddard.
The conclusion is a real tour de force - and the arc allows for a very powerful 'statement'. you don't get many on TV. Treasure em.
LOAF
The whole season is shot and lit incredibly badly.
Take your choice of (favourite) season but here? Where is the visual richness of 5, the headiness of 6, the gloss of 3. Compare it to Angel 5 or Firefly.
And Jeez – all that beige.
Lobotomy Willow. First she was booky, then she was kooky, then she went crooky, but now she’s just nuthin at all. At least she looks a little grief-ey. Does anyone else even mention Tara?
Pod Giles.
Spare part Xander.
Angel’s pointless and smug appearance.
Spike before he gets his coat back is dressed in a way that defies belief. Also he is in the damn basement or the damn cave forever and the first tries to torture him by drowning. Hello! VAMPIRE!
BUFFY SUMMERS. This is not SMG’s fault – though she has NO chemistry with the rest of the cast anymore. But those damn speeches – all the time with the speeches already. So boring that Storyteller takes the mickey out of it – but she keeps on going anyway, through the rest of the whole show. ZZZZZZZZZ War war war, the big picture, war war fight die, girls, me me me war. ZZZZZZZZ
The Absence of Steven S. DeKnight.
LOVE – the Potentials.
LOATHE – the Potentials.
It’s a thing.
