I am considering selling my Firefly press kits.

One is a Serenity cargo container with things inside like freeze dried food, star map, a couple blue prints of different sections of the Serenity.

The other is a leather passport type of wallet with a boarding pass, some photos and I think the captain's liscense.

I can supply photos

Is this a complete list of whats included? I thought there were a few other things in the kit but I don't see them in your description.

I have seen some variations of what is in the crates based on past eBay auctions.

It is oversized, bifold and looks to be made out of real leather to me.

3 postcards - 1 of the ship and 2 identical ones of the cast
A Serenity boarding pass
and a clip on Captain's license for Malcolm Reynolds

The plastic cargo crate:
Has several stickers on it that you would see on a cargo crate
contains
A Serenity boarding pass
A letter from Capt Malcolm Reynolds
An Alliance planetary nebula star map
3 blueprint schematics of different parts of the ship
and 4 Alliance ration packs - beef jerky, strawberries, ice cream and fries I believe.

The press kit I've got didn't come with those rations, but did come with a big bar of chocolate and a refreezable ice-pack - I guess they just chucked in whatever they had for that. It also came with a photocopied introduction to the series, with brief character bios and other info - nothing special though, sadly.

They *should* also have a video of an episode too, but I've not seen any that still have those in.

Just out of curiosity why are you NOT throwing this up on Ebay? I think it would be the best way to do it other than have 15 or so fans emailing you constantly and having to guess at what the others are offering for it. Finally, if you are not willing to put it up on Ebay could you atleast be kind enough and give us a ballpark of what your asking price is?

Well, here is the full deal.

I have $100 invested in the wallet and $200 in the crate.

I was playing with the idea of selling these and thought I would offer them to fans of the show before sticking them on eBay. Yes, I am familiar with eBay.

After a couple of not so polite emails from a couple of people who I assume are members of this board, bashing me for trying to sell my promo/press kits here, I have decided maybe this is not the audience I wanted. Wow, that was a massive run on sentence.

There have been those of you who were polite but a couple who thought I (a new person) had no business coming to this board trying to sell these. I honestly was trying to do the right thing by trying to get these into the hands of true fans if I got the right price.

I did not deserve the negative responses I did receive.

I doubt I will be visiting this thread or site again.

Well, you may have a point about the lack of manners from some of the denizens. But as a word of explaination, if not excuse, I think that they were concerned it was a con game, rather than a legitimate offer. A couple of people have emailed me about these in the last couple of months so I am going to put a blanket response here.

I decided to keep these for these reasons

1. The money I have invested in them. I cannot sell them for $20 each.

2. With the DVD set and a movie my interest in renewed in them.

3. They are just darn cool.

I have also had difficulty scanning the blueprints for those who wanted them. I have to scan them at a super high res to get the details clear but then I end up with a super large file.

I'll get around to it eventually and post links here for those who are interested.

I, too, would love to see scans of the starmap and schematics, if possible. Honestly, big file size wouldn't bother me a bit. You could e-mail 'em (MrPaco2@hotmail.com) or YouSendIt or...something like that. Please!

Sorry I couldn't reply to this thread as I was having password problems.

I have very large scans of both the blueprints and the starmap available. They are very big files coming in between 10-12 MB each. However do to the size of the items I had to scan them in in two parts.

I am asking $20 for the starmap and $30 for the blueprints. I know this may seem wrong to some but I do have a lot of time and money tied up in these.

Please don't be offended.
