I live pretty much 5 minutes from the city centre...and lord how i wish i heard about browncoat activity near here! lol. The are all the crazy conventions but even arranging to get down near London can be a hassle sometimes. arg...see how we complain! lol. I used to live in Texas and it used to take 3 hours to get to the nearest large city so i guess I shouldn't be complaining. I am hoping they hold another big Serenity shindig like the one down in london not too long ago! Would totally take time off from work to go to that! lol sounded fun

Just thought I'd add to this. I'm a Hertfordshire based Browncoat. Somedays I wish I had Jayne as a passenger in my car when doing my daily commute into London....I could use his, er, 'diplomatic' skills.

There's no place I can be...since I found Serenity

Please forgive me, but I have afew questions not related to FireFly whatsoever.

Second, how big is archery over there in England and the British Isles?

You can post on any forum you wish is my guess! I am a Yank but started this tread as I am living over in the UK and was curious who else was near! As for archery...well I honestly don't know. Sorry!

I'm trying to organise 2 browncoat things:

1- Shindig, May 6th (see my thread)
2- Serenity charity screening, June 17th or 23rd
(still liasing with cinema PR people at the moment, but
fingers crossed)

you Save it, you add your name and marker and then show it here, for the next person to see.

To show an image, well just incase you dont know, you create an account with somewhere like www.photobucket.com and upload it there, copy the images URL and then past the URL in this here forum. The map should then show.

Well right click on the map/Save image as/Open in Paint(simple programe)/Place your name at the end of the list/Place a red circly where you live/Files/Save As(UK Browncoat Map.jpg)/Open Web browser/ http://www.photobucket.com /Register/New album/Upload picutre(UK Browncoat Map.jpg)/Click on the image/Then right click on the image again/view image/right click on that one/copy image location/Paste the image location into you reply on this here forum and the map will be shown.

Not sure if that makes any sense either, but it does to me.

I've been a fan since 04, and live near Edinburgh.

When Serenity (the movie) premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival back in 05, the ticket hotline, for the whole event, got jammed because of Browncoats.

A lot of UK Coats made the trek up, to see the special screening, which sold out super fast. The cast and Joss were there, and some (Adam Baldwin, Summer Glau, Morena Baccarin, Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres and Joss Whedon), attended a DvD signing at HMV on Princes Street.

There's an acre of UK Browncoats.

Some of the BDHs have appeared at the Collectormania conventions dotted around the country. (Jewel Staite comes to mind.) There have been Firefly/Serenity conventions too, based in London and Glasgow. They get quite a number of peeps.

I spread the word much as I can, but that's all I can do. Hard to do much else when yer 17 though, especially since money becomes much more important.

Proud to say I've converted folk though!

We need more UK events to spread the word though!

I graduate in a month but can't afford the Masters course I've been offered a place on... so yeah... not the best time of my life.

It's all about the money now- and the fact I have none!

Sorry to hear about the Masters. Drop me a personal message sometime if you want to hear about how I scraped together money for mine (loans from banks etc!)
