Anthony Head will not watch the upcoming 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' movie because it will be like "watching a car wreck".

I just looked up the Kazui's and really why would you invest in them to make a successful feature? No disrespect to them but they've hardly had thier fingers on the proverbial cinematic pulse since the original Buffy movie?

I agree with him. I don't see how you can make a movie without involving the person who brought the character to life and then went on to make 7 successful seasons of TV, with a spin-off. If they decide to make a movie, so be it, but include Joss in some way.

I have no issues disrespecting them. They exist for me as perfect stereotypes of a hollywood exec culture that for decades have disrupted excellent writing to chase dollars.

Their efforts to mangle 19-year-old Joss's script is no different than a Fox exec rejecting a firefly pilot, airing the show out of order, then canceling it for poor ratings.

Could the Whedon fanbase be the first to wield their "write in to renew a show" marshalling powers to flood the Kazui's with a "oh, HELL no!" campaign?

I'd gladly pay the price of a movie ticket to see that. I'd be cracking up in public for months just thinking about the time we smacked down the moneygrubbers hard.

tony you are so right to not support this film. without joss i cant see any good to come of it. i hope joss see this and realizes that the fans would like a new movie, maybe an update with a new slayer, movie about FRAY would be interesting i loved the comix and i love what is being done with season 8 in the comix.

They are trying to milk what they can form the Teen Twilight Brigade. Alot of tweens n teens are right into magic and vampires etc at the moment, so we will inevitably be seeing more attempts to cash in on the trend. Even if it does mean the bastardisation of the stuff we love.
