I don't know if the new "Futurama" will be made by FOX and sold to Comedy Central. Story didn't say who owned the rights.

They did four direct-to-DVD and TV movies (90 minute espsodes), which were each also cut into four regular episodes. The success of those in the last year, led to the order for26 regular episodes.

I'm confused and a little pissed....don't get me wrong, I'm glad futurama is coming back, as delightfully irreverent as it is and it keeps me laughing for hours...why not bring back firefly? the fox suits said "it was a show that fans simply demanded we bring back" so now I'm asking what are we browncoats, chopped liver? I mean seriously no show, in my opinion, is more deserving of a resurrection than our beloved firefly.

We've already done the impossible, so what would made for t.v. movies be ?

An animated show is going to be a lot easier to bring back than a live-action one. Futurama is getting mainstream attention due to rotations on Comedy Central and even MTV now. As much as WE love Firefly, it's not on that level of popularity.

There is talk of "Firefly" TV movies, we'll have to wait.

I had never heard that is there any news on if it might happen.
The problem with bringin back the show as a full television show is that the cast have all moved on, and many have other committments so I doubt it could be a TV show but they could definitely make some TV movies in the summer break.
