As Steamer so kindly pointed out, the last thread was gettin' Looooooooong. So here's a fresh one...

Time for a new addition to the ongoing saga of Browncoat purdyness!

If you're so inclined, please post a picture of yourself so we can all see who we talk to here

Please try to avoid very large images that stretch and break the thread.

Gotta keep the quotation marks in there.
The image extension is the default from photobucket. .png .img .jpg .whatever

NS - Thanks for the new thread As for the pic, I can definitely see the Obi Wan resemblance, as Briglad suggests, I say you pose with a lightsabre, just so we can have the full on "Obi Wan in action" pic

Steamer - that pic looks familiar but doesnt mean its not welcome. It's all kinds of shiny, much like AVFC's 3d glasses

Well, I have had a really rough few days, but I am not immune to the beautiful part of the world I find myself in! I had to leave the job I thought was going to be 'the one' and that meant leaving my new living arrangements, so I fled across Devon to stay with my wonderful friend, Sue, and her husband, Nick - they live in Ilfracombe.

The weather has been lovely and yesterday they took me to visit the very picturesque twin-towns of Lynton-Lynmouth where we caught the water-powered lift down from the upper Lynton to the lower Lynmouth (Mouth of the Lyn River)

The lower part was even more picturesque than the top!

Today we wandered the grounds of the nearby, National Trust property of Arlington Court, which was gorgeous...

{{{hugs}}} Steamer... hold hat thought! I am looking into flying over for a couple of weeks TLC with my man... I really need some 'me' time and the agency thought it was a good idea to return refreshed and ready to hit the interview circuit again!

jie-jie, sorry to hear that the job didn't pan out. I think artcat may be right about seeking something out over here!
Rain? It rained here every day for several weeks. When we hit the solstice, the average temperature jumped about twenty degrees and it's only rained occasionally. It's the first time in years Colorado has actually seemed to follow the seasons. And it's nice to see our lakes and reservoirs riding high for a change.

Oh Mei Mei! I wish I could! I would give anything to be closer to you! I absolutely love your photos of the pond and I am thrilled that you have committed to D*C... it is looking less likely than ever that I'll make it, but Boomer Goodheart is insistent that her folks told her I'd make it and they're on the other side!! I haven't completely given up, but finding myself jobless & without a permanent address again makes it even more unlikely.

Li'l sis - thank you! You're wonderful! I am still so upset as there seem to be new petty accusations every day, but the agency is still going in to bat for me, and they insist that the family have to pay my outstanding wages no matter what.

I love all the photos! Keep it up please!

OK... not quite Boston yet, but these were taken on my way here...

Heathrow Airport waiting for my very delayed flight... due to weather...

(it was supposed to show the dramatic grey rain clouds that were brewing over London)

Then finally arrived in Newark after circling the airport for ages... due to weather... my next flight was delayed too, though, so I hadn't missed it! Yay! It was delayed... due to weather! This is the only pic I snapped so I could capture the skyline of Manhattan!

Then I arrived in Boston, just an hour & 1/4 late!!! Of course Frank was so surprised that I managed to get through so quickly and find my luggage (lots of folk didn't manage to get their luggage on the 2nd flight!) so quickly that I waited fr a bit, but didn't think to photograph anything!

P.S. I am so excited that you almost have Baby John's room ready, MsA!!! I cannot wait to see it!!! How exciting!!

Hey Li'l sis! I absolutely adore the pics of Baby John's nursery! I am soooooooo excited for you both! I cannot wait to see it all for myself and I will enjoy holding your precious son in my arms one day in the not-too-distant future!

Edit: I have no idea why my pics came out so tiny... sorry about that! I have been having photobucket issues, but my pro account lapsed on flickr and I'll have to wait to pay for another 12 months before I can upload the quantities of photos I take!

Oh Rose! I am heartbroken that it is looking so very unlikely - but the reality is that I still have to find a job, which won't start immediately when I return to the UK at the start of August, and it's very unlikely that a new family will let me take about two weeks off to fly to America, then back with a few days to get over jet lag when I've only been working a week or two... and that's if I can even afford it!

I wish so much I could, though!!

But Mei Mei! I have to say - I totally love & adore that photo of you and I love your taste in statements! You are one of the sexiest women I know and that top just verifies my opinion as 100% FACT!!!

Those photos are wonderful, Li'l sis! It's good to see Joe with his friends and in that amazing scenery! I love it and cannot wait for the day when I get to visit Nevada!

I hope I get to travel around the USA properly one day, I have long-standing invitations in Florida, Colorado, St Louis & Arizona as well as Nevada... though I suspect I shall have to make it to NV sooner rather than later if I am going to be Baby John's God mother!

Now, to Boston (which I am rather fond of already!) This weekend Frank took me to see the Tall Ships in the harbour and we took the girls with us...

The view from Frank's flat...er... apartment

To my amazement this milestone is still standing in Jamaica Plains, MA

Cool Street Graffiti which I saw along the main road of JP... it was repeated in several places...

We wound up the evening by bringing the girls home, feeding them, then heading to Harvard Square to meet Frank's best friend, Mark! It was lovely both meeting new friends, and catching up with old ones! Mark & Frank have been friends since school days! I don't have a photo of them together, but I do love Harvard Square in the night time in summer!

Oh I adore that photo of Navy too! Too funny!

LOL at Maggie too, MsA! She is so funny around puppies... she really seems worried about these little dogs and wondering what is wrong with them, but she always decides that they're OK and plays with them very gently! It was so funny to see her playing with Ella later on! She would put her teeth around her neck - as she would a full grown dog, but never actually bit down! It was like saying "see? I am bigger, stronger and have much bigger jaws than you! I could eat you for my lunch and still have room for dessert, but I chose to play instead!" Ella just reveled in it!

Anyway - today we went to Redbones for dinner with one of Frank's friends from Urban Myth, a musical group he's played with quite a bit over the years...

At Melika's suggestion I tried a mint julip! I liked it!

...and a lovely lady at the next table offered to take a photo of the of us!

This is my favourite out of all of them!

Heading to bed now... I'm heading to the shindig in New Hampshire with the New England Browncoats tomorrow evening, so I hope to meet up with Rallem, Steamer, Phyrelite and Radegund to name a few friends from this part of the world! Browncoats make the best chosen family ever!!!

I am so sorry that we turned up so late! We got held up at a Warhammer game that went way longer than it should have... about 2 hours too long in fact, then there was the Cape Cod traffic to deal with!!!

Hello! I can't believe the slowness of this thread either, Kel! And I did see those photos on Laurelin's facebook account! I love them! Can't believe how fast both the kidlets are growing! Baby M is not a baby anymore!! The original Kidlett is not a kid, either - she looks like she's 7 going on 17!!! Have fun with that one!!

Here's a few from the last week, I finally managed to get some photos uploaded to photobucket, so I'm going to share some with you!

With Kaele from 76th... Monday night at The Border Cafe in Harvard Square!

Frank, Kaele & I

Frank & I at the Red Sox game last Friday! We were hoping to visit Realfireflygal & her man in Florida for the weekend, but couldn't get the planets to align, so we were thrilled when Frank's neighbour asked us at the last minute if we would like tickets to the game! He had wonderful seats, through work, and couldn't make it due to something else coming up!!! We were both so excited!!! We bought caps and did the full thing with hot dogs, beer (wine), clam chowder and much cheering! I even sang "Take me Out to the Ball Game" during a break!

This was taken on our way to the game!

Last night Frank brought his friend Joe home from work, and we headed to Punjabi Dabu, a wonderful Indian cafe, for dinner, and were joined by our friend Scott. Over dinner we decided to go to a pub which has pool tables, and we played a bit! I took photos... of course!
