Fillion puts Firefly references in Castle

There you have it, so it's quite possible that if you think something in Castle might be a Firefly reference, it might be, as Fillion is clearly trying to get them in there!
He's so good to us!

And, if you don't understand 'feed the birds' you need to be following him on Twitter.

Hmmm, I don't know. I like the picture though. One of my fav Captains.

Nathan has http://twitter.com/NathanFillion 102,000 followers. So it is so shiny that he mentioned Firefly even just in his tweets. Already read (some posts elsewhere)that people are loving Castle and have found Firefly/Serenity. The plan is working!

No, Nathan didn't reveal the Firefly reference he tried to get into the third episode of Castle Seasons 2. The other are sayings he is using on twitter.

In Season 1 of Castle, "Shindig" was used at a party. May have been others...can't remember. Nathan also had a browncoat on in at least one episode.

Yeah, basically "feed the birds", "bam said the lady" are Fillion's twitter sayings, which he is also trying to slip into Castle apparently. But I remember there was a thread during season 1 which discussed some possible references to Firefly in Castle, and whether or not they were, and if they were, who put them in. So I put this up as confirmation that at least Nathan is trying to put them in, and it's entirely possible that if you think it's a reference, it is.

I'm not on Twitter and don't plan on it either, no matter who posts updates there. But I assume the "feed the birds" references "tweets" as Twitter posts are called and the fact that their logo includes a bird. Right?

"Feed the Birds" has nothing to do with actual birds. As was said, it is his own "high five" he uses on Twitter.

I am guilty as charged. I came to know Firefly because I loved the show Castle, fell in love with Nathan, checked out Firefly and loved it!

It is such fun to find the Firefly references in Castle!! I look forward to Season 2...and 3....and 4....

Well, since Alan is the only one of the group to be on Nat's show(ooops not well know),..I'm sure it was him. And yes Nat has several times said in his tweets that he will sneek a FF/S reference in, just like Joss does in "Dollhouse" He also said he will get the 'feed the birds' hand thing in. (You don't have to be on Twitter to see Nat's 'tweets') The 'feed the birds' is Nat's 'new' fist pump replacement idea,....when I looked last(sunday) he was getting lots of donations for the hospital and he had posted a pic of him putting bird seed in the bird feeder as a "thank You' for donating.

Yep I found Firefly through Castle too and love em both. I'm going to wear out my DVDs at this rate the the first season of Castle is out soon I'll have two Nathan shows to watch.

Nathan's tweets are so funny I am quite addicted but I have that damn "feed the birds" song in my head now - thanks Nathan LOL
