Mei Mei! Super stunning!!! I am in awe of your sexiness!

Here's a few pics which I took over the weekend, as my other precious Mei Mei, Engie, was in London with her family - Oh yeah! I am back in London, too! Trying not to think of what I've left behind in Boston! (My man said he will try to pop in here a bit more, too!)

Here's my beautiful Mei Mei outside the Starbucks opposite the hotel we were staying in!

Naturally we took about a million photos each of the hotel interior itself!

We liked this name, and thought of Little Albatross!

We visited the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square...

The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane...

Saw the Rosetta Stone at the British Museum!

and generally took lots of photos of our own perspective of London!

I have only uploaded a few, so far, but Engie will have lots more, and so will I in due course!

I love you all! Miss you all! Wish so much that I were going to see you at D*C! Barring a miracle there is no way, now! But I will be looking for photos from you all, reports and stories and planning to live vicariously through you all!

Over the course of almost 3 years, I cleared, with my chainsaw, a little hole in the forest.

The forest was so dense that nobody had even looked at the property and the owner didn't know there was an ocean view. What I did find was 30 tons of trash,

so I got the property for a relative song (half the asking price).

Finally got a dozer out and finished the clearing

I designed the house by my crazy self- no architect.

I tried to use only sustainable materials. Real wood, no laminates, that were from sustainable harvests.

We are off grid- running on solar power, we catch our own water, and grow a bunch of food too. We have turned this former trash dump into a wee bit of paradise.

You are so pretty! Also, despite how much I love London, it's not where I want to be right now! I am near broke, one part-time interview all week, and without a home! (though I am very lucky to be staying with family for a few nights!!) staying in a hostel for the next two nights then back to cousins for 2 more nights, and hopefully something will work out after that! It's exhausting and frustrating! Especially when I am owed money by my former employers in Devon! Quite a bit of money, actually! Still, I know I am going to be stronger for this experience!

Manglo!! I love the photos you've shared, and how wonderful of you to create your own slice of paradise from a block of land that nobody wanted! My sister & her husband are building their own home from straw bales, they've been working on it for 3 years so far, and it's almost nearing completion! They had the straw bales delivered just before the bush fires in Victoria!! Scary days with all those embers showering the bush for miles around!! It's looking amazing! My brother-in-law is a solar engineer! They are environmentally sustainable, with a composting toilet, and recycled grey water! It's the way to go, in my opinion! Oh, and they have a permit to put a wind generator on top of their hill! So when the time comes they will also have wind power! I love your place! It looks stunning!

I was in London last fall. What a beautiful city, it looks like you had as much fun as I did. I will be returning this fall and probably every year after this for the rest of my life. It made a mark on my soul and I can't keep away.

Hey 2by2GingerBlue! Thank you for the comment! I love London, it is in my soul too, but I just wish I was still with my man in Boston right now! I can't work in Boston, though, so I am here looking for work where I am allowed to... it's complicated! I hope we get to meet in the autumn some time!

Mei Mei! I want you to come and hang out with me, too! I wish so much tat I was going to be at D*C, but not happening... so very sad about that! I just spoke with Frank & I always feel better for that, but I am very stressed about my financial situation, and the fact that I am having no interviews at all! At least previously I had 3 - 4 a week, the only one I had lined up fell through today!!! What am I going to do???

Li'l sis!!! Yes!! You & Rose must come to London, with Joe & baby John & we shall have a magical time together!! There are ways of staying in London for a reasonable amount, especially in the 'off season' or in a shared flat, with a kitchenette! I would love to show you my amazing, historical city over here!

BTW No Air Conditioning. I tried to design it with maximum airflow created by temperature differentials. Most rooms work really well and the downstairs patio area is always cool even on the hottest days.

I found this on wiki.
