Great news TD.......I absolutely loved the episode. It was good all the way round, the opening had me 'geeking out' and ready to see some Firefly.

I just dashed off a note to ABC for the Halloween episode, thanking them for Castle. In particular for giving Nathan a starring vehicle and for allowing him to have fun with his 'winks' to us die-hard Browncoats.

I also mentioned that if they really wanted to see ratings they should have Morena or Gina as special guests. Hell, I told them pretty much any of the crew appearing as guest stars would do the trick. If we can't get them back up into the black.....you know the rest.

How cool would it be to have Ron Glass reprise his Barney Miller role as Det Ron Harris! He could come out of retirement to help Castle and Beckett solve some difficult case. ABC, you can't go wrong having Nathan and Ron together again! And I think Barney Miller aired on ABC way back when.

Did you see tonight's episode? Gregg Henry was a guest star. He played the sheriff in Train Job and was the hilarious mayor in Nathan's flick, Slither.

I'm pretty sure Tudyk will show up in Castle sometime this season. Nathan tweeted not long ago that someone on set accidentally called him "Captain" instead of "Castle" during shooting. Gregg Henry wouldn't call him Captain, would he? Gotta be Tudyk. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Going by the preview next week, Captain Castle (satisfy both crowds) is going to say something like...

When I heard that, I geeked out so bad I almost forgot what last night's ep was about. Almost.

I was late seeing this episode since I wasn't home that night, but I saw it later on Fancast, and was screaming "YESSSSS!" when I saw Captain Reynolds walk out of Castle's room! It was great to see!

I agree with TD, Mutt you have a great idea regarding Ron Glass.

Here's some more on ABC alums:

Gina Torres guest starred on Alias a few back as a Cuban spy and she was great. It's a pity that Gina doesn't get more respect in TV circles, the woman can act.

Anyway she kicked butt on Alias. Would love to see her on Castle as well, perhaps as a rival writer.

BTW, I was watching reruns of White Collar in my doctor's office today and guess who I saw - none other than Badger. Of course he played a baddie in charge of, what else, smuggling objects de art. He looked good.

Not a huge fan of castle but I thought of all the people that seen this and thought "where did this come from" and might go see firefly. At least firefly will pick up some more fans along the way.

That's why I don't kiss them on the mouth.
