As i am new here just curious as to where everyone is from?
I see all these posts about shindigs and such get togethers for the movie and was wondering if there were any planned 'round about the midwest?
(or the "fly over states" as we are so kindly called by everyone)
I am in Misery, literally (well ok, its Missouri).

I kinda wish there was a large map that would show where folks are from... sorta like a large wall map w/ push pins. Even if it didn't identify WHO was in what town ( yeah, some folks still want their privacy, we understand), it would be helpful to know how close a group of Browncoats are and such.

Would love to have a shindig somewhere i can actually get to, next to no-one (save my family and those friends i've tied to a couch so's they'd watch the show) where i am ever heard of firefly. That or everyone i've asked about it are lying to me

I hear you. You'd think there would be a *sizeable* Browncoat population here in Edmonton, Alberta ... where Nathan Fillion hails from. But so far ... nary a word has been heard.

But in lieu of getting together in person, the virtual shindigs have gone pretty well, IMO.

As of last night I've discovered three more Edmonton-and-environs Browncoats through the VB ('Versal Board) ... and a handful down in Calgary. Woo hoo!
