Quick question.

When Chuck had to put on Mission: Impossible glasses in tonight's episode, did anyone else think to themselves, "Hey, look, it's Clark Kent!"

I know I did.

Didn't think of Clark Kent, but he did remind me of someone. Still can't think of who, though.

Now that you mention it...

And with Routh on the show?

This is too much, LOL!

And don't forget Lana Lang - er, I mean *Hannah* - coming over from Smallville...

They DO enjoy their geeky shout-outs, don't they?

Thought it was a another great episode. Still hate seeing Chuck and Sarah apart and the whole elephant in the room thing they have going on, but we don't want the Moonlighting thing biting us in the butt and ruining the show if they do get together any time soon.

Has there been any news on ratings and whether or not NBC is interested in renewing for another season?

No official word from NBC that I have seen, but it has been doing better than last year in a very tough time slot. If it is a bubble show, I'd say it is at least outside the bubble at this time.

From your lips to the ears of NBC execs ECGordon. Let's hope that Chuck gets picked up again.

I definitely want to see this show return for many, many seasons. Though, it does seem like they are swinging for the fences on this one. But no more negative thinking from me. Long live Chuck!

But back to my original point, when they do make this new Christopher Nolan produced Superman movie, I think Zachary Levi should be on the shortlist to play Superman.

As much as I enjoy Chuck, I don't really see Zachary Levi as Superman. Although I can understand if you'd take hints with people from both Superman Returns and Smallville having cameos.

On the off chance that anyone hasn't seen the season finale yet... (Spoilers below!)

Select to view spoiler:

I don't know about y'all, but I was damned glad to see Chuck and Sarah finally together and happy. If it *IS* the end - and I have absolutely no info that it is - at least they didn't leave us hanging on that note.

'Course, if the show DOES get picked up, that might make things a bit tougher...

What if NBC doesn't decide to renew Chuck? Well, we have options. USA network, they'd *LOVE* to have a show like Chuck - it would fit right in with the Burn Notice/White Collar vibe - semi-nerdy/spy-crime-fighting shows with with and humor. SyFy wouldn't know what to do with themselves if they snagged Chuck. And they're all affiliated to some degree with NBC, so it still keeps it "in the family", so to speak.

I'm concerned about Chuck, but I'm not *worried*. Not yet, anyway. Subway helped a bunch. Hell, I wish they could get BestBuy in on the action, since it's so clear that BuyMore IS BestBuy - and that's not a slam on BestBuy, either! I shop there, and it IS that nerdy. That's WHY I shop there. When you want the best electronics, ask the nerd herd!

FYI that wasn't the season finale. Chuck returns next week.

dewrastler is right, still 6 eps left, picked up half way though, so they'd already planned the season to stop at this point, hence the perfect ending, in case they didn't get picked up again (I guess?).

But yeah, 6 episodes left of this season, so it'll be interesting to see how they structure it.

Well, shoot! That IS awesome news.

After watching the ep, I figured it was the finale, went to IMDB to check if it was scheduled for the next week, saw no info on any further episodes, so took that as confirmation.

I'm definitely glad I was wrong on that one! :)

I wasn't sure how I'd like Chuck this season, what with him being all "super spy" and all, and not seeming like he'd really need Sarah or Casey around any more, but they've done a wonderful job of writing the show, keeping it silly as ever, while still making it, well, semi-believable at least, and keeping Chuck bumbling and desperately in need of his team.

Had that been the series finale, I would have been sad, of course, but I'd have also walked away feeling very glad for having taken that ride, and feeling good about where and how it ended. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that right now! :)

Thanks, De and Rich - you guys just started off my day on an up note!

It did seem like a final episode with everything pretty much coming full circle - Chuck and Sarah finally being together, Casey being reinstated, the Ring brought to justice, etc. But I'm curious to see how they fit Morgan in with the spy group. He doesn't have any training nor does he have an intersect to move him along even faster so that will be interesting to know how he fits in.

Looking forward to the six episodes coming up. I am hoping that they can continue the Chuck / Sarah relationship and keep the same feel and fun of the episodes and not go all Moonlighting on us.

It's been sixteen days since that episode aired, so you got no one else but yourself to blame for spoilers.

I'm in the same boat as Chris; I don't know why (and TimeWarner and my local NBC affiliate are REALLY sick of hearing from me about it by now, because THEY obviously don't know why, either), but I don't get NBC on my hi-def DVR. I don't get NBC, and I don't get CW, which is carried on the same broadcast tower here (KXAN owns both franchises locally). So no Chuck in HD for me, no Supernatural in HD, no Office, Community, etc.

Oddly enough, though, my TW on-demand DOES have the shows a few days after they air, and they're in HD.

And when I say I don't get NBC or CW in HD, I mean *I* don't get them. I pay for them; they're offered; elsewhere in town, lots of other people are watching without problems, it would seem. But on my box, they just won't come in. At best, they're pixelated and garbled; at worst, I just get a grey screen. TW can't figure it out. My contract with them is up in a couple weeks, by the way. I wonder what I'll do... ;)

S'wenyways, I'm always a couple days behind on my NBC shows. Truth be told, I'm usually at least a day behind on EVERY show I watch. The DVR has taken over; I no longer have the patience for live TV. I must zap the commercials and break when *I* want to break!

Yes, it's a sickness. I'm thinking of AT&T's U-verse. HD DVR and FOUR programs recording at once! Oh, my...

Mike
