right i'll give you a name for example 'River Tam' and using either the first or last letter i.e Both R's in river or T and M in Tam. you must name another character. like Malcolm Reynolds.
so lets test your knowlegde
Malcolm Reynolds

I don't see two r's or a t in Mal's name. So, I'm not sure I get what you're shooting for.

Here's my shot though. Malcolm Reynolds. R, S. Inara Serra (contains r and s).

He meant there was 2 r's with River beginning and end. And the T for Tam.
He used her as an example for the explanation but then went with Mal.

For Example:
Sam
Marie
Ed
Dan

See how the name ends with a letter and then the next name starts with the that letter?

What would the T in Tam have to do with anything if we only care about the M as the last letter?

I guess according to the OP you can use the first letter too? Sort of like scattegories? I'm not sure on that one...

Not sure if this follows or not...

Since Shepherd Book's name was Derrial, is it kosher ( ha ha ) to use his REAL name, and not just his title ?

your using the first or last letter of the name to create another characters name. like John, you can use either the J for Joe or then N for Nathan. and you can use either the first name or the surname.

I left it wide open for someone to use Kaylee (or however you spell her name). But kudos for making it harder. As far as his first name, as I only followed the series, I never knew his first name.
