What was the timeframe of this poll? The day isn't even over yet.

You know, when Firefly is struggling in a poll, that's an appropriate time to drop a line in the Tag Box. I almost did, but we already lost.

I actually went looking for this poll on their website today and couldn't find it so screw those guys. In no universe is Fringe better than Firefly.

Yup. Hardly a shocker that an ongoing successful show has more active fans than a short lived one canceled 9 years ago.

Yeah, something really screwy about this poll and how quickly it ended. That and the sheer # of people voting for Fringe seems really skewed.

How is that skewed? The show gets good ratings and is still on. It's ratings in the key 18-49 demo (the same age group likely to vote in such polls) went up 52% this year, and the show was pulling a neilson rating of around 3 - which equates to close to 4 million viewers a week (1 point being roughly equivalent to 1.3 million viewers). 4000 votes out of 4 million viewers aint that surprising.

Firefly leading would be the more skewed scenario that would suggest box-stuffing.

Agreed. But don't hate on Fringe because it's what Firefly should have been were it not for....well, you guys know the story (Faux).

But here's how I look at it, it's like Rappy says:

A show that was cancelled some 9 years ago, being compared to a popular and current show. Firefly is a powerhouse. Yes, you heard right Firefly is a powerhouse. Browncoats were responsible for getting a movie made (not since Star Trek has that happened) and here we are being compared and matched up against a new TV show. How shiny is that!

Still though, the poll was begun very quietly and ended as abruptly. No one can tell me that we could only muster 559 votes. We could do that in our sleep. We mobilize thousands across the country for CSTS - 559, puh-leaze!
