And the license number is clearly a reference to the IG-2000, IG-88's ship.

CYBERSNARK: impressive. IG-2000 is, AFAIK, just mentioned in one particular book (Tales of the Bounty Hunters) and only a select few know that reference. In the two years I've had it there's been only one stranger who's come up to me and guessed correctly :). The back of my car is so geeky that only the geeks can get it, so I get to keep my rep in both my geek and non-geek circles :p
SAVEWASH: I know, I'm tempting fate just a tad :p
On a side note, Serenity sounds amazing when piped through my car's upgraded sound system :D

IG-2000 is quite well-known in the RPG sourcebooks and non-narrative "Definitive Guides," though, and I've always been a bigger fan of the "fringe" than whatever the Jedi are on about this time.
IIRC there was also a fan-made X-Wing Alliance model for it years ago, but it was so badly textured that I ended up deleting it.

Almost the nerdiest car I've ever seen. Comes in second to one I saw in Tallahassee with a complete paint job that made it look like the Enterprise-D. Never regretted not having a camera more.
